Cheryl Cole Owns U.K. Singles & Albums Charts

The Girls Aloud singer and 'The X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole has been mocked for miming and savaged for her singing, but Cole has left critics stunned by achieving a prestigious double #1 on both the Irish and UK music charts success with her debut solo studio album "3 Words" which released on October 23, while "Fight For This Love" spends a third week at the singles summit, as the fastest selling single of the year thus far.
The 26-year-old British pop star became the nation's sweetheart after she joined 'The X Factor' last year and took a contingent of wide-eyed young girls under her wing, leading Alexandra Burke all the way to victory in the show's final. Cole is the 12th female artist in UK chart history to record that double achievement, according to the Official UK Charts Company, and the third this year, following Lily Allen and Lady Gaga.
"Fight for This Love" is first solo single, was written and produced by Wayne Wilkins, Steve Kipner and co-written by Andre Merritt, was released as the lead single off her album "3 Words" on October 19. The song received its worldwide radio première on September 7 on BBC Radio, and Cole performed the song for the first time on The X Factor' on October 18. The song is a midtempo pop-R&B track with subdued, synthy production and an infectious hook that gnaws into the consciousness". Popjustice praised the song, describing it as "one of those songs you can have on repeat for an hour and a half without getting bored. Like some of the best pop tunes "Fight For This Love" is a very simple affair without bells, whistles or kitchen sinks, but there's more going on than is initially obvious and the production's certainly a cut above."
The music video was directed by Ray Kay and was filmed in early September, and premièred on September 20. The video stars Cole dancing in front of various moving backgrounds in a number of outfits, most notably a soldier-themed outfit with a red military jacket. There is also a dance sequence in which Cole, wearing leopard-print bottoms and a number of dancers perform a routine. The main colors of the video are red, white and black. Kay commented on the filming that: "The recordings went very well, and Cheryl was fantastic to work with. I drove her very hard at the shoot, and it was very difficult on her part. My job was relaxing in comparison. We made the video in London, with a lot of focus on fashion and dance, with very tough choreography, before putting it all together in Los Angeles afterwords. I have a strong feeling that this will be a #1 for Cheryl in England!"

Carrie Underwood's "Play On" Album Hits Stores

The four-time Grammy Award winner and country music star Carrie Underwood returns with today's release of her highly anticipated third album, "Play On" via Arista Nashville. It's been fewer than five years since the Oklahoma native won "American Idol," but Underwood's music career has been supernova hot since, has earned little critical praise despite moving over 10 million albums, garnering ACM and CMA awards and becoming the first Country artist in history to achieve ten No.1 singles from her first two albums.
Reality-show prodigy turned down-home diva, Underwood knew she needed to finish a new album this year. Luckily, she viewed the writing and recording process of "Play On" as a labor of love, rather than just one more thing to check off her huge to-do list. The new album is very solid from top to bottom, and it contains quite a wide range of music. The lead single from the album, "Cowboy Casanova" pop-country crossover hits has been established as the fastest-selling song in the past year of country music. While there, she also debuted three other songs included in the album, "Temporary Home," "Undo It" and "Mama's Song." The album's strongest classics track is "Someday When I Stop Loving You," a brooding tune framed beautifully by her delicate performance, while "What Can I Say," a collaboration with sibling trio Sons of Sylvia, is a simple, elegant declaration of longing. And the all-American girl even delivers a tart-tongued reading of the spunky, Shania-esque "Songs Like This."
The remaining 45 minutes, though, are more Hallmark than honky tonk. "Play On" is a tastefully-done pop pleasure, with little of the pretentious production that gutted much of her first two discs. Better still, Underwood's found new creases in her sweetly-Southern voice, an engaging instrument that's grown with each album. Underwood doesn't want you to call her music pop-country. "I'm not trying to move anywhere away from country music," Underwood said. "I love what I do. And let's say 'Cowboy Casanova' crosses over, it's going to cross over as it is - fiddles, steel and all. Growing up I never liked it when people would have a country song and then change it for a different format." "Play On," though saddled with its share of loose songwriting, is a convincing reminder of a blonde, budding talent.

Tim McGraw Releases "Southern Voice" Album

This week is all about Tim McGraw. The cowboy crooner climbs back in the saddle and releases his first studio effort, "Southern Voice" today, which is a long-awaited album of all new material, since 2007's "Let It Go" album.
McGraw's career has been one of the brightest in any genre for more than a decade, encompassing hit albums, lucrative touring and notable revenue generated by music publishing, films, TV shows and books, as well as branding and licensing. Since his career began in the early 1990s, he has sold over 40 million albums, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and dominated the charts with 30 No.1 singles. He has won 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Assn. Awards, 10 American Music Awards, three Grammy Awards and three People's Choice Awards. But there has been a dearth of new studio material from McGraw in recent years. The wheels of Nashville often turn slowly, but he feels he has waited an inordinately long time for the release of "Southern Voice."
The new album, "Southern Voice" on Curb Records, is the 42-year-old country singer's 10th with veteran producer Byron Gallimore in a collaboration that has yielded tremendously successful results at retail and on radio. The lead-off single from "Southern Voice" album is "It's a Business Doing Pleasure With You," which is an up-tempo, tongue-in-cheek tale about the price paid for loving a woman who loves designer labels, and was shipped to radio outlets in late June and peaked at No.13 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. The album's title track was released last month as the second single from the set. The music video for "Southern Voice" premiered CMT on October 2.
The two-time Grammy winner has lined up a few concert appearances this fall to support "Southern Voice." His itinerary includes a record-release party today in Chicago. In addition, he'll appearances in Las Vegas on Oct.23, The Jay Leno Show on Oct.27 with guest Gregg Allman, The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Oct.29 and Highland, CA on Nov.19. McGraw is also working on his 2010 tour plans, and expected to announce tour dates in the near future, according to his website.

Michael Jackson Debuts Single "This Is It" Online

Michael Jackson may be gone, but he isn't finished releasing new music. The star's first new track "This Is It" from the upcoming his music documentary was to make its debut at midnight Sunday at Jackson’s official Web Site, nearly four months after the King of Pop's death. The site says it is "a brand new song" that "marks yet another exciting moment in music history for one of the world's most revered artists; featuring backing vocals by Michael's brothers." The song is being be delivered to radio stations amid tight security.
The first drop in what might be a flood of unheard Jackson material is a song called "This Is It", which Sony had scheduled to send to radio stations on Sunday night. Based on a tape Mr. Jackson left behind containing only his piano and vocals, a full arrangement was built, complete with swelling strings and his brothers' backup vocals. The song is to run during the closing credits of the new Jackson film, perhaps not coincidentally called "This Is It."
The song is a mid-tempo ballad punctuated by light guitar riffs and rich orchestration. The track has the same name as Jackson's 50-date comeback concerts, which had been due to kick off in London over the summer, although the synergy is unclear. If "This Is It" is any guide, the provenance of leftover Jackson songs might be difficult to establish. It is not clear when the song was written or recorded, and Sony originally believed that the tape was made around the time of Mr.Jackson's 1991 album "Dangerous", but it could have been much earlier, perhaps even as early as the album "Off the Wall" from 1979. "I really have no idea what the origins of the song are," said Rob Stringer, chairman of the Columbia/Epic Label Group.
The song trails a two-disc album of the same name that will be available internationally on October 26, and North America on October 27 through Sony’s Columbia/Epic Label Group. The album will boast a 36-page, commemorative booklet featuring exclusive photos of Jackson from his last rehearsal. The album also contains music from a documentary film about Jacko's planned comeback, called "Michael Jackson's This Is It", which will have a limited two-week run in theaters from October 28 and will also be on DVD and Blu-ray.

Ingrid Michaelson' New Video For Single "Maybe"

The New York-based indie-pop singer-songwriter, Ingrid Michaelson is out with a brand new music video to her new single "Maybe", the first single off her fourth studio album "Everybody", which was released on August 25 via Cabin 24 Records. The album had a brief stint atop the iTunes chart shortly after its release.
The ABC Music Lounge has an exclusive behind the scenes look at the making of Ingrid's video for "Maybe," which stars as a real-life marionette of sorts in a colorful, animated puppet show. The singer-songwriter is now also hitting the road to kick off a North American headline tour in support of her recent release, "Everybody," featuring the track "Maybe" seen below. The tour has a 43-stop loop around the continent ending in Pittsburgh on November 5.
The song "Maybe" is fresh out of the oven, and the reviews were mostly positive. Billboard stated that "The last track to make it onto Ingrid Michaelson's upcoming album, 'Maybe' gets off to a melancholy start but quickly takes off thanks to resonant lyrics. Over a radio-friendly chorus, the singer resolves to embrace the uncertainty around her faltering relationship. 'The only way to really know, is to really let it go,' she concludes, moments after hoping for a romantic comeback. The production continues to build until two-thirds of the way through the song, when it abruptly strips down to a single layer of vocals accompanied by fragile guitar strums. This 10-second ease illuminates the sincerity in Michaelson's voice. Then the optimistic hook takes off again, and it becomes clear that the song's duality is all too reminiscent of real-life affairs. Much like her approach to music, Michaelson's love story is strong, risky and mature."

Within Temptation Posts "Utopia" Music Video

Dutch female-fronted symphonic metal band, Within Temptation will release a new live album, "An Acoustic Night At The Theatre" on October 30 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and November 2 in the rest of Europe. According to the rock band, the new acoustic live CD will feature many of their biggest hits, played live and acoustic during seated tour last year. "These were very special concerts, as we added an acoustic set to our live show, making our show more intimate," the group says. "Besides this we used film projections emphasizing the great theatre ambiance."
The band was founded in 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. The new live album will also contain a brand new first single on it, entitled "Utopia", which is a duet between Sharon, and a new guest vocals from British singer Chris Jones. Jones was also a guest vocalist on Armin van Buuren’s album "Imagine", performing on the track "Going Wrong." The single will be released on October 23. The single will also contain "Restless", recorded live at Within Temptation's 2007 show in Eindhoven, Holland.
Within Temptation has now posted a music video for the song "Utopia" on their official YouTube channel yesterday. The video shows a man walking around a city and witnesses a lot of people doing bad things, such as a man stealing a blind woman's wallet and a prostitute being picked up by an older man. He also saves a child from almost being hit by a car when his mother wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. The band is also seen performing in a run down building.

Breaking Benjamin Releases Album "Dear Agony"

Bruce Willis’ latest film "Surrogates" wanderings into the sci-fi realms had a rough first weekend. It took in only $15 million and fails to steal the crown for a distant 2nd place. However the film support band, Breaking Benjamin is about begin their business with releasing new album tomorrow. The American rock band was formed in 1998 by vocalist Benjamin Burnley and quickly garnered a strong local following in their home state of Pennsylvania. Their music is most often classed as alternative rock or post-grunge, and have also been classified as alternative metal. They have released three albums, and are set to release their upcoming 4th studio album "Dear Agony" tomorrow.
The first single "I Will Not Bow" from new album was released for sale on September 1. It was released to the radio and the band's MySpace page on August 11, instead of the planned date, August 17 due to a leak by their hometown radio station, WBSX. This single is also be featured on the soundtrack for the Bruce Willi's new film "Surrogates" with the music video containing scenes from the movie. The song was not written specifically for the film, but according to drummer Chad Szeliga, "Ben sent a few songs to our record label, Hollywood Records," which is owned by Disney, who then decided they "wanted a Breaking Benjamin song for this movie." The song has also reached No.5 on Billboard Rock Songs chart.
The music video for "I Will Not Bow" was released to the band's Myspace on August 21. The video was shot at the World Trade Center building 7, but has no connection or significant meaning having to do with the 9/11 events as stated by Aaron Fink in his Point interview on August 13. The video was directed by Rich Lee who has also directed for Evanescence. Lee chose the location feeling it was an eerie location to film. The video features several shots of singer Ben Burnley walking down a hallway singing into a microphone, as well as shots of the band performing together, and scenes from the movie. There is also a girl who goes onto an elevator, and comes up to the same floor the band is on. She sits down on a couch in front of a set of TVs, all of them either showing scenes from the movie, or the band playing. Towards the end of the video, the members of the band collapse, dropping their instruments, as does the girl. The video then goes to Burnley strapped into one of the chairs from the movie, during which he sits up and takes his mask off.

Three Days Grace Debut Album 'Life Starts Now'

The Canadian rock band, 'Three Days Grace' is gearing up to release their the third studio album, "Life Starts Now", is set to hit stores today via Jive Records. Nothing says "rockstar" like a smashed guitar. Three Days Grace want to give their fans a piece of the rockstar experience – an actual guitar fragment, hand-shattered by the band themselves.
The Canadian rockers also known as '3DG' or 'TDG' with a line-up consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, bassist Brad Walst, and lead guitarist Barry Stock, who has built a dedicated and ever-growing fanbase over the course of two Platinum albums before, and years of touring in North America. Since their 1992 formation, they have had multiple smash hit singles on Rock radio and videos that have received extensive play on Fuse, MTV2, and VH1. In 2007, the band was declared number one rock artist of the year by Billboard, and was the number four artist in airplay in Canada that same year.
Follow up to theirs 2006 release "One-X," the band returned to the studio this year with producer Howard Benson, who had worked with them on their previous releases. Recorded at studios in Vancouver and L.A. since March to craft what will surely be their most accomplished album to date. The lead vocalist Adam Gontier is saying will be "the best Three Days Grace record to date," according to a post on his MySpace Page. This eagerly anticipated release is certain to please longtime followers while getting Three Days Grace even more attention from Rock music fans everywhere. Three Days Grace have planned a tour of the U.S. and Canada encompassing the latter part of 2009 and supporting "Life Starts Now."

Owl City Debuts His Major Album "Ocean Eyes"

Well, honestly I just found out this great CD and found myself entertained throughout whole CD and its fantastic and I love all of 12 tracks by heart, have to say this is one of the best ever! Believe it or not, Owl City is a state of mind, not a place, like a bird-lover's destination, nor is even a band. It's only one man, Adam Young, a 23-year-old from Minnesota who is influences are disco and European electronic music and started making music on PC in his parents' basement from early 2007. 1980s synthpop and New Wave music is also heard in Owl City's sound. I've quickly become a fan of Owl City now. So you'll just have to believe me when I say that this is the band you have been waiting for.
What started out as a project in the basement with a mike and synthesizer turned into a self-recorded and released EP and eventually a deal with the Universal label, which issued his major label debut (his sophomore album), "Ocean Eyes" in July 14(digital), and September 1(physical). Owl City's dreamy synth-pop soon became an online phenomenon. The synthpop artist Young's songs have been played almost 48 million times on the Owl City MySpace page. Now MySpace users apparently love his music, which has millions of listens. As of yesterday, the up-and-coming artist Young's Owl City album ranked No. 14 on iTunes, sandwiched between Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Black Eyed Peas. The lead song "Fireflies" was an instant success and chosen as the Single of the Week by iTunes. This led to a huge success as the song was downloaded over 650,000 times and helped the album peak at #2 on the store. The building on the cover is the Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
The album "Ocean Eyes" features guest vocals by Relient K vocalist Matt Thiessen, and is a collection of every thing he can do well, and synth pop gems that will delight the most hardened and discerning of musical fanatics. Like new urban contemporaries lights, Young's music is primarily synth based, dreamy and atmospheric, and MySpace into the most breathtaking aural waterfall. There’s no doubt that the album is all very cutesy and sugary in it’s lyrically content. All in all, the album is a success with catchy hooks, great loops and some serious harmonizing. It is the perfect summer album, but it’s doubtful the songs will remain on playlists for longer than that because this album only finds the happy in life. The video for "Fireflies" directed by Steve Hoover, features Young playing the song on his synthesizer in a toy-filled bedroom, where most of the toys come to life.

Nelly Furtado Reveals Her Latin Album "Mi Plan"

Nelly Furtado has a little suprise for her fans. After appearing as a presenter at the VMAs Sunday night, the portuguese-canadian singer branched out and fulfilled her dream of making her first full length Spanish-language album, "Mi Plan"(Spanish for "My Plan") yesterday internationally. The 30 years old Furtado has sold more than 18 million albums so far and is one of the most recognized artists worldwide. "Mi Plan" is her 4th studio album and 3rd direction shift, is a collection of love songs and more than daring, requited or wishing they were "Being happy is my only plan." Switching languages hasn't changed her pop knack, Furtado has embraced her Latin roots, and the Latino music market. The album's first single, "Manos al Aire," (Hands in the Air), recently hit No. 1 on Billboard's Latin radio chart.
Like fellow Anglo-Latin crossover stars Shakira and Christina Aguilera, Furtado knows the value of keeping all her demographics happy. her musical career has been filled with drastic changes. Mainstream music might traditionally stick to formula but that has never dissuaded Furtado from stirring up her own special recipes. Beneath her toothsomely pretty melodies, there has always been something charmingly off-kilter about Furtado, after making the leap from folk-pop songbird that marked her 2000 debut "Whoa, Nelly!" with Grammy-winning hit "I am Like a Bird," to electro-pop diva with her colossal success 2006 album "Loose", she has decided to change her stripes yet again, has put out an album of supremely catchy, indulging her love of Latin pop-rock with "Mi Plan," her first LP sung entirely in Spanish, a language she said she learned as a teen, record filled with famous Latino guest stars.

She has a ways to go, then, although her singing on "Mi Plan" is more openly emotive than ever accentuated by her telenovela-style videos and her strikingly monochrome attire. Her subject matter is moving on as well. Spanish is not Furtado's first language. In fact, the Grammy-winner says she is only "50-60%" fluent en Espanol, so her linguistic gymnastics are a gutsy move. They were also omething of a happy accident. The star discloses "I can be a little more dramatic than I can be in an English song, I'm not a natural dancer, it takes a lot of effort for me to learn all that choreography, and the last album was definitely a learning experience. I get to feel like a brand new artist again, it feels cool and it's really hard to reinvent yourself after 10 years doing it."

Mark Knopfler To Release Album "Get Lucky"

Mark Knopfler, the 60-year-old guitar god and former frontman of the British rock band Dire Straits has announced the tracklisting for his new solo album, "Get Lucky," which is being released today in Europe and tomorrow in the US with 3 configurations.
The Scottish musician with a "Golden Heart" did it again! "Get Lucky" is the sixth solo studio album from the legendary musician and follows 2007's highly successful "Kill To Get Crimson," which Rolling Stone heralded as 'a gem' and USA Today described as, "...yet another unpretentious showcase for his unmistakable gifts as a musician, tunesmith and storyteller."
Recorded at Knopfler's award-winning British Grove Studios in West London, and was co-produced with longtime collaborators, engineer Chuck Ainlay and keyboardist Guy Fletcher and featured Richard Bennett, Danny Cummings, John McCusker, Matt Rollings and Glenn Worf. The 11-track album explores a lifetime of musical roots exemplified by the title track. "The first itinerant person I ever met would sing in soul bands in winter, then work part-time in fairgrounds or 'go pick fruit down south' when the weather turned warm," explains Knopfler. "I was about 15 years old, stuck in school and envious. "Get Lucky" came from him and other traveling characters I went on to meet in places I'd find myself working short-term, like farms, warehouses, building sites, before I got lucky with my songs."
Tt's very difficult to review this album strictly on its guitar aspects. There is a familiar mellowness to his album. He injects an easygoing, campfire vibe into the 11 songs on "Get Lucky." Throughout "Get Lucky," Mr. Knopfler draws on Celtic music traditions for melodic inspiration. The strains of flute, fiddle and whistle that characterize the genre do not fall gently on every ear. His signature finger-picking style is on display throughout and it's even more distinctive and recognizable than his singing voice. This is one you'll take out and enjoy like and with old wine for years to come. According to Knopfler's official web site, he'll begin his tour in support of "Get Lucky" sometime in 2010.

It was released in Japan on June 24, and will be released on September 15 everywhere. Marié Digby was born April 16, 1983, whose mother is Japanese and father is Irish American. She began writing songs during high school in Los Angeles. After completing her sophomore year as a philosophy major at the UC Berkeley, she came out into the public eye when she won the 2004 Pantene Pro-Voice competition with her song "Miss Invisible". She is perhaps best known for her acoustic cover version of Rihanna's No. 1 hit "Umbrella", which attracted attention on YouTube in 2007. The song was subsequently played on the radio station STAR 98.7, was featured on the third season opening episode of the MTV show The Hills. Digby has released three studio albums, including one Japanese cover album. These albums have spawned seven singles overall.
Digby is recognized on YouTube for her simple popular music covers, which include Linkin Park, The Game, Rihanna, Maroon 5, and Nelly Furtado, as well as her original compositions. She has over 170,000 subscribers and her channel has been viewed over 4 million times. As of May 2009, she is the 11th most subscribed musician on YouTube, ahead of names like Chris Brown, Taylor Swift and Tay Zonday.

Whitney Houston Returns With "I Look To You"

Whitney Houston, turned 46 this month, is officially back, after self-imposed 7-year hiatus, or at least that's what she and her record label want you to believe. But finally, she’s put out a her 6th full length studio new album, "I Look To You", arrives in stores and digital retailers today. Has the comeback queen recaptured her glory days?
It’s been 7 years since 2002’s "Just Whitney" was released. While that was billed as her big comeback, it turned out to be her worst selling album ever. So then, does "I Look To You" live up to everything promised this time around? But her much-hyped new album, is a collaboration with music mogul Clive Davis, and features ditties from the likes of Akon, R. Kelly and Alicia Keys. And, phew, the reviews look good.
Her first mainstream single "Million Dollar Bill" is an Alicia Keys-penned joyride with friendly basslines and on-point lyrics that remind us of who Whitney really was. The songs "Nothin' But Love" and "Call You Tonight" swoop you into a melodic trance that cry for a second listen. And the title track "I Look To You" joins a Diane Warren penned song "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" as the two to watch on this CD. Whitney Houston doesn't cover the pop classic "I Will Survive" on her new album. But themes of strength, challenge and triumph are laced throughout the songs on disc.

The country trio bnad, "Love and Theft" was just released their debut album CD, "World Wide Open" via Carolwood Records yesterday. The lead-off single from the album, “Runaway,” is top 20 and still climbing. Their future looks bright, and I'm sure this band has a lot of opportunities ahead, and the world is exactly wide open for them!
Love and Theft was founded in 2006 by Brian Bandas, Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson, all three of whom sing lead vocals. They are also known to their legions of online fans as LNT. After opening shows for Taylor Swift in 2008, the band is currently on the road playing shows and promoting their debut single, 'Runaway.' The week kicks off with a full band performance at a radio station show in Atlanta last Sunday night after which they'll back to Nashville to rise early Monday morning for the first of four consecutive daily satellite radio tours, which include concert appearances in Houston, TX (8/26); Dallas, TX (8/27); Phoenix, AZ (8/28); and Las Vegas (8/29).

LeToya Luckett | "Lady Love" (New Album)

The two Grammy Awards winner R&B singer LeToya Luckett (born March 11, 1981 in Houston, known professionally as "LeToya") is going to release her sophomore solo album "Lady Love" next Tuesday.
After signing a record deal with Capitol Records, she pursued a successful solo career. Her solo debut album "LeToya" topped the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart in July 2006. On the upcoming new album, LeToya has worked with a wide variety of collborators with her 15 tracks, including Ne-Yo, Chris Brown and Bryan-Michael Cox. Featured guests include Ludacris, Estelle and Mims whilst some versions of the album will also have a bonus track which also features Bun B, Killa Kyleon, and Slim Thug. The first single, "Not Anymore" was written by Ne-Yo and produced by Bei Maejor. The follow-up single, "She Ain't Got..." was voted by fan, and "Regret" is the 3rd single features rapper Ludacris.
The video for the lead single "Not Anymore" was directed by Bryan Barber. It is set in the 1960s, and is split into 3 sections/time periods - 1961, 1964 and 1968. The sets, costumes and props change accordingly in each section to show the trends, fashions and styles of those particular years. The video begins on an old revival tour bus, travels to a backstage area, and ends on an “American Bandstand” like stage. LeToya plays Dorothy Campbell, or "Dot", who is the newest addition to a Motown record label and is burning up the charts, eventually moving on from the man who broke her heart and reveling in the ultimate revenge—-success.

Cascada | "Evacuate The Dancefloor" (Album)

"Evacuate the Dancefloor" is the third full-length studio album from award-winning German europop trio fronted by vocalist Natalie Horler Cascada. It was released in Ireland on July 3 first with eleven tracks, just after the lead single "Evacuate the Dancefloor", and is out today in the States.

She then shows dancers on a dance floor with Horler singing in front of open doors and people dancing in the background. Calprit appears singing on some seats before the camera goes back to Horler and the dancers while occasionally showing Calprit singing the backing vocals. It finishes with Horler singing on a spinning set of seats surrounded by the dancers. Horler shows all the conviction of a session singer trilling her way through a demo while her mind focuses in on the pay cheque.

Jessie James Releases Self-titled Debut Album

21 year-old newcomer Jessie James is releasing her self titled debut album, "Jessie James," and it's available at AmazonMP3 for only $1.99 today. The album, a mix of country-inspired pop, with 12 tracks and is led by the radio hit, "Wanted" hits stores Tomorrow, but Amazon is offering it a day early at least $6 less in most stores.
Jessie was born April 12, 1988 on a military base in Italy, and moving around the country for most of her childhood and adolescent years, Jessie took harbor in music, and its paid off. She never knew there was supposed to be a difference; her boots-and-beats debut is equal parts Carrie Underwood and Christina Aguilera. Jessie falters on a handful of snoozy power ballads but plays one heck of a small-town sex kitten on up-tempo numbers like 'Blue Jeans,' where she claims her tight pants get her into the club for free, and 'My Cowboy,' a sly country-rap jam.

"Gloriana" Takes Walk On Country's Mild Side (Album)

Need some new country music, but Rascal Flatts is just a little too hard-core for your liking? Gloriana is the answer to your prayers. The young foursome, consisting of 20-something brothers Mike and Tom Gossin and teenage belters Rachel Reinert and Cheyenne Kimball - who all look and sound like they arrived from Nashville central casting for the next Lady Antebellum or Sugarland, there are reasons to be skeptical about the "realness" of the group and their self-titled debut Album "Gloriana", which will be released tomorrow.
Gloriana's self-titled debut starts off solidly with the "How Far Do You Wanna Go," a sunny open-road ode, and "Wild at Heart." But, aside from the infectious breakup song "Even If I Wanted to" and the angsty roots-pop of "Time to Let Me Go", the remainder of the album is more or less unremarkable. "Gloriana" reflects both the sheer talent of this up-and-coming country music group founded last February when brothers moved to North Carolina for college, and the level of commitment that they have put into making every note count. Ashley Tisdale's Busy Week Includes New Album, Movie

For anyone wondering how Ashley Tisdale is charting her post-"HS Musical" career, all they have to do is look at this week. Tisdale not only has a new album, "Guilty Pleasure," hit shelves Tuesday, but also a new flick from the 20th Century Fox, "Aliens in the Attic," out Friday.
"They are both so different," she told MTV News about her music and her movie. "I want them(fans) to hear one and see the other. They are completely different. My music career is being who I am and connecting with the fans in that way." If you think it's a lot of pressure to have two big releases out in the same week, think again. The 24-year-old Actress/Pop Media princess said in interviews that "I don't put pressure on myself, and I don't like working under pressure. Listening to what I did, putting all that hard work in, I'm really proud of it. I think it's important for me to be happy with what I did." If fans really like "Aliens in the Attic" and "Guilty Pleasure", maybe Tisdale could end up at the top of the box office and the Billboard albums chart all in one week.
Tisdale's new sophomore album, "Guilty Pleasure" breaks out of 'High School' mode, and aimed at a more mature audience. The New Jersey native says she's taking her career to the next level, and the album was set on an edgier rock vibe. The cover features her in a tight black skirt and semi-revealing top, and her inspirations for the album's music. "Guilty Pleasure" might be "American Idol." Not only has Tisdale talked about her obsession with "Idol," but several of the songs on the album show a strong Kelly Clarkson influence.
