KT Tunstall walking on a plank to "Feel It All"

Ivor Novello Award winning singer-songwriter and guitarist KT Tunstall unveiled her stunningly simple new music video for her soft ballad, "Feel It All," the lead single from 37-year-old Scottish songstress' upcoming and much-anticipated fifth album, straight from her heart, "Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon," which set to be released on June 10 in the U.K. and August 6 in the U.S., and will feature a more country folk sound than her previous album, "Tiger Suit."
Tunstall recently separated from her husband of four years, drummer Luke Bullen, and lost her father last year, new personal circumstances she hints at a more country folk sound from her. "So much has changed. I've followed my path and ended up in a different place" and she describes the album as "full of songs from the heart." This new single speaks of death, the memory, and how it will eventually cure the pain. It's a simple song, almost acoustic, in which the voice of the singer sounds more heartfelt than ever. An intimate production issue that moves between country, folk and blues.
"Feel It All" appears on the album in two versions; the original album version, with PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish on drumming duty, and the 'band jam' version, recorded live in the Arizona desert. Tunstall says of the track: "It's probably the most personal song on the album, it was really medicine for me, that song." The new album has been divided into 2 parts. The former, 'Invisible Empire' is the dark side, filled with mortality, a subject close to her heart following the passing away of her father last summer. The latter, 'Crescent Moon' included "Feel It All," evokes an ethereal mood, more reflective of deeply felt changes in outlook and shifts in her personal life. Together, they add up to Tunstall's most cohesive and affecting album to date.
This soft ballad reminds us of the Canadian Feist & the Georgian Katie Melua. Surprising but striking too. It's great to see Tunstall back on form with this gorgeous folk track and a beautiful video to accompany it. The video for "Feel It All," is 4 minutes and 10 seconds in length and shows Tunstall walking on a plank over the desert of Tucson, Arizona and it clearly shows she wants to "Feel It All". Ed Sheeran Found Angel In "Give Me Love"

Ed Sheeran tackles the concept of giving love versus receiving love in an angelic new video for his melodic folk-pop tune, "Give Me Love," the sixth and final single from his hugely successful debut studio album "+," which hits the airwaves last September, and since then, the 21-year-old British star has swiftly built up a devoted international fanbase and collaborated with two of the biggest acts in the pop world, One Direction and Taylor Swift. And now he giving fans another hopelessly romantic song.
Sheeran's musical career was not taking off how he would have liked. That is, until Sheeran met singer-actor Jamie Foxx who took an interest in the songwriter as well as his music. He cares about in his own life, performing with a "soft toned, flexible voice" with a hip-hop theme and laying down of "+:" "I started recording in January in a friend's garden shed in Suffolk. I wanted to keep that organic lo-fi feel. I've got the rest of my life to make an album in a swish studio. This time round I wanted to stay true to the sound that's got me this far."
"Give Me Love," came through late in the recording process, penned by Sheeran, along with songwriters Jake Gosling and Chris Leonard, is tells a story not of falling in love, but of love lost and a message of hope that we can find love in others despite our shortcomings. Sheeran explained: "That's an important song for me. It's got a more fleshed-out sound, which I think is where I'm headed in future." He added: "It's about a relationship that fell apart and you're asking for it to be put back together. Most people get to a point where they drink themselves into a dark corner in that situation. It's that point of view."
Directed by Emil Nava, the brilliantly powerful storyline based visual revolves around a beautiful girl who becomes cupid. Follows the life of a modern day, the clip features a lonely Sheeran drinking coffee in a diner while an angel wanders through the city at night. Australian actress Isabel Lucas plays the Cupid-like angel and went around making people fall in love by shooting them with an arrow. In spite of her gift for bringing others together, her loneliness brings her to a tragic end.

Amy Stroup Is Aksing For 'Hold Onto Hope Love'

Nashville-based songwriter/singer Amy Stroup has premiered the official music video for the song "Hold Onto Hope Love," from her upcoming 2011 album "The Other Side of Love Sessions," which She partnered with Grammy award-winning producer Nathan Chapman on the project to deliver delicately honest lyrics, pure vocals and smart instrumentation, including all original music to her sultry and sweet songs are sure to please. The track "Hold Onto Hope Love" is also placed in ABC's "Brothers and Sisters," "Private Practice," "One Tree Hill," and "Army Wives."
"I write songs about things I've lived through and 'Hold Onto Hope Love' is a song about waiting for genuine love to come," Stroup said in a telephone interview. Stroup said she recorded the song with producer Thomas Doeve in a basement and has be en surprised with its success. There's a reason Stroup's song "Hold Onto Hope Love" has appeared at poignant moments of ABC's latest season. From an emotional scene as Kitty battles cancer in "Brothers and Sister" to a climatic close o "Private Practice," Stroup's music communicates on levels spoken words can't reach.
Stroup's roots began in Boston, but soon her family moved on to Texas, where she grew up and began her journey into songwriting. Combining the thoughtful depth of Boston and the distinctive Texas style, she engages audience through catchy melodies and lyrics that explore refreshing truths about life, love, and spirituality. Stroup draws from a range of geographic locales and musical influences, having called Boston, Texas and now Nashville home. "As a kid, I ripped out a magazine page and taped it to my closet door. AJ Michalka "It's Who You Are" From Secretariat

With her big sister Alyson Michalka('Aly') taking over the CW Network in her new series, "Hellcats," little sister Amanda Joy Michalka, often credited as 'AJ,' the other one half of singing duo 'Aly & AJ,' later called '78violet,' is left to go it alone. AJ is starring in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures "Secretariat" and was asked by the director to sing the theme song titled "It's Who You Are."
AJ writes down lyrics in her notebook in her new music video for her inspiring song "It's Who You Are." the theme song for the upcoming biopic film "Secretariat," which AJ stars as Kate Tweed and will hits theaters on Friday, October 8. In true Disney theme song fashion, the video is two parts sappy and two parts warmth. The video is less about AJ and more about the movie clips sprinkled within. AJ is seen in a horse stable writing and singing the lyrics to the song while the most heartwarming previews from the film fills the video.
AJ used to be a model prior to becoming an actress, and singer-songwriter, and instrumentalist. She is proficient at both the piano and the guitar. The 19-year-old singer/actress dished to Movie Surfers about how the video came about and what the song says to her: "It came about in a really cool way. The director, Randall Wallace, was writing the song for the film and he talked to me about it and was like, 'Come do the song for me. Let's bring it to life.' I was like, 'Are you kidding? Of course.' The song is not about doing things for the money or the fame, but just having passion behind the things you do."

Mat Kearney Shares His New "All I Have" Video

I received Local pop success Mat Kearney's tweet three days ago from TwitVid and said "I just got the new video we shot in Nashville for 'All I Have.' I wanted you to see it first." The new song "All I Have" is the second expected single off the Eugene, Oregon singer songwriter's most recent third studio album "City of Black & White," out now through Aware/Columbia Records. And the Jay Martin directed new video was shot at his home in Nashville.
The album version "All I Have" is full of energy and to scale it back here I'm sure was a dedicated effort, not laziness. While a good amount of Kearney's songs at first appear cut from the same cloth as those of fellow acoustic crooner John Mayer, there's plenty to differentiate him. The hip-hop stylings of "Undeniable" and "Girl America," as well as "All I Need" - a song detailing eyewitness accounts of Hurricane Katrina - point to the fact that Kearney isn't just a dude singing about his hurt feelings on TV. He's had songs appear on a lot of my favorite series, such as "Grey's Anatomy," "One Tree Hill" and "Friday Night Lights."

Linkin Park Releases "Not Alone" Video For Haiti

American rock band Linkin Park was among the first artists to respond to the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti last month, heading up a charity album, "Download to Donate for Haiti," within a week. Now the rock giants are giving you an intimate look at the creation of their song to help Haiti, and released a special new video for "Not Alone," the previously unreleased song they gave to the compilation. It's a stark, mostly black-and-white clip that switches between images of the immense destruction in Haiti, some of them fairly graphic, and footage of Linkin Park recording "Not Alone" in a studio. The stunning video features studio performance footage interspersed with stark images of the Haitian devastation. The clip is being premiered exclusively at www.myspacemusic.com beginning today.
The new song "Not Alone" is currently playing on AOL Radio's New Alternative First station, is an unfinished demo from 2007's 'Minutes to Midnight,' with vocals recorded by Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington just over the weekend to complete the track and released On January 19.
"Download to Donate for Haiti" is a compilation album and a star-studded recovery effort by Music for Relief, a non-profit organization established by Linkin Park in 2005, following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, to help victims of natural disasters to help prevent such disasters. The special album provides fans with the opportunity to download a collection of exclusive songs along with many other unreleased by their favorite artists, such as All American Rejects, Hoobastank, Alanis Morisette, Slash, Enrique Iglesias, Peter Gabriel and more, and then donate funds on a purely voluntary basis. One of the most unique aspects of "Download To Donate For Haiti" is its community element. On musicforrelief.org, songs are downloaded via an embeddable widget and fans are encouraged to embed the widget on their own social network pages to help spread the word. "We ask that everyone donate, but if all you can afford is to spread the word, embed the widget, share it on Facebook, Twitter, whatever, then that'll be good enough," says Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda. Linkin Park are currently in the studio recording the long awaited fourth album, which will be released in 2010, with the aim for it to be "genre-busting."

"Gloriana" Takes Walk On Country's Mild Side (Album)

Need some new country music, but Rascal Flatts is just a little too hard-core for your liking? Gloriana is the answer to your prayers. The young foursome, consisting of 20-something brothers Mike and Tom Gossin and teenage belters Rachel Reinert and Cheyenne Kimball - who all look and sound like they arrived from Nashville central casting for the next Lady Antebellum or Sugarland, there are reasons to be skeptical about the "realness" of the group and their self-titled debut Album "Gloriana", which will be released tomorrow.
Gloriana's self-titled debut starts off solidly with the "How Far Do You Wanna Go," a sunny open-road ode, and "Wild at Heart." But, aside from the infectious breakup song "Even If I Wanted to" and the angsty roots-pop of "Time to Let Me Go", the remainder of the album is more or less unremarkable. "Gloriana" reflects both the sheer talent of this up-and-coming country music group founded last February when brothers moved to North Carolina for college, and the level of commitment that they have put into making every note count. Gloriana's soaring four part harmonies have been compared to music icons such as The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.
The group hasn’t wasted time — "Wild at Heart" Gloriana’s debut single has enjoyed some chart success — sold nearly 100,000 copies since mid-April, they’ve been on the road with country-pop superstar Taylor Swift as an opening act, and with Kellie Pickler, on her Fearless arena tour. Swift, and Gloriana, will be at Dallas’ American Airlines Center on Sept. 25.
