The Fray pours emotion into "Break Your Plans"

The Fray really push their imagination in the music video for "Break Your Plans," the official second single from the American alternative rock band's latest album, "Helios." The guys of The Fray have been making music together for over a decade, and the band's frontman Isaac Slade has a way of pouring emotion into every song he sings. In "Break Your Heart," The Fray return to their The Fray-esque sounding piano ballads. The intimate performance was the perfect setting for Slade to showcase his trademark vocals, which sound as raw and real as ever as he elongates and emphasizes each note on the heartfelt track, "Break Your Plans."

The group delivers a moving, stripped-down performance that highlights the meaning of the lyrics, which tell of a desperate longing for a loved one to stay. "We wanted to capture the moment right before a couple parts ways, where everything is pointing to the split," Of the track, Slade notes, "and one of them suddenly gets this fire-almost out of nowhere. Maybe it's the feeling of the other just starting to leave, maybe it's a moment-in-time but suddenly there's fight left, and they go for it."

"Break Your Heart" is a moving ballad, as usual very well sung by Slade, and the clip, directed by Marcus Herring and Bill Fishman, is just as moving. Its plot, however, is "something different." And by the different, we mean CRAZY. A fisherman makes his way to the vast ocean on his boat for a day of laidback fishing. He gets his prize, but it's not a big fish... it's a SIREN. The two fall in love, go for a swim, kiss but suddenly, the good-looking fisherman starts feeling bad, and noticing scars in his body after checking him out in a mirror. The SIREN sees how her man falls into the water and turns into a SHARK. Oh, my, god.

The Fray get into a bar fight in "Love Don't Die"

The Fray get into a really bad brawl in a Texas bar in the music video for their sing-along anthem "Love Don't Die," the first single from the Isaac Slade-led pop rock band's upcoming fourth studio album "Helios," which is due in stores on January 14 via Epic Records. The members of The Fray have found themselves at the center of a bar fight in their latest video. It's mildly entertaining as far as videos go, which is to say it has something of a narrative, which a great many these days don't.
Normally the visuals from The Fray feature the band performing and some signature piano playing but this video for "Love Don't Die" takes the band and fans in a whole new visual direction. The music video focuses on the band performing at a very rowdy bar. Punches fly, glass is broken and drinks are spilled. "Love Don't Die" is very different from the typical style of video that the band puts out. Even though the setting for the video is a departure for The Fray, it is funny and fits into the upbeat and rhythmic styling of "Love Don't Die." The video might be the band saying that they are going in a new direction and are ready for a new fight.

Suddenly, music videos become much easier to cast, not to mention the fact that fans eat it up when real-life couples get all romantic on screen. It features the guest star Candice Accola from Vampire Diaries, who is also band's guitarist Joe King real life fiancée, and holds its setting at a bar. All Accola wants to do is watch her fiancé play with her best friends, but when a bar-goer gets a little too handsy, things take a turn for the violent. But hey, it gives her fiancé the chance to play hero.
It's a pretty simple visual, which was filmed November 13 at Cowboy Palace Saloon in Chatsworth, California. The group arrive at a Texas biker bar, they hit the stage to perform the song and singing from behind a fence for their protection, then Accola and friends comes in. But when a rude guy begins to harass Accola, her real-life fiance comes to the rescue, igniting in this way and starts quite the bar brawl. The fight progresses and comes to include the entire band, and ends when the band escapes the bar on motorcycles. Accola then does what any woman would do: She kisses the heck out of him. The moment is equal amounts fun and voyeuristic.

The Fray Shares Inspiration for "Heartbeat"

The Fray are apparently still kicking around the music industry with their new music video for "Heartbeat," the first single off of the American Piano-Rock band's upcoming third album, "Scars And Stories," finds us revisiting familiar The Fray tearjerker territory. Though it's cleverly hidden beneath the sweeping sounds of orchestral drums and rock guitars, "Heartbeat" is driven by a gorgeous piano melody. Lead vocalist Isaac Slade's voice is in top form, and he demonstrates his massive range while singing about the best way to love someone.
It's been a tough couple of years for The Fray die-hards. The Colorado foursome hasn't put out a new record since the alt-rock troupe matured into deeper emotional territory on their Grammy-nominated 2009 self-titled sophomore album. Despite some obvious similarities to past works, "Heartbeat" is serious kind of heavy lyric with a big, upbeat energy and he capitalized on that energy with a bit more rock-driven, a catchy chorus, a nice mixture of Slade's melodic falsetto and quirky lower range, and a driving beat to back up the power chords.
Slade penned the song with guitarist Joe King. It was inspired by the singer's experiences whilst traveling in Africa about the awful carnage and the remarkable way in which the survivors are recovering. He explained: "That song came out of a period of my life when I was trying hard to be open to whatever came my way. I traveled through South Africa and Rwanda with a buddy, and at first it was really hard to stay open in the face of so much pain and heartache. But then I ended up meeting so many cool and inspiring people, and all these ideas for lyrics and melodies just started rushing in."
Shot on the beach at Los Angeles, the Justin Francis-directed beach themed video features the boys in the band ride out to the water and carry their gear down to the shore during a care-free night on the beach and performing bonfire-side for a crowd of crunchy-chic ladies and dudes while scary-huge waves crash in the background. The original concept was to shoot the clip with a sunny beach look but when a fog rolled in, it looked like the filming would have to be aborted for the day. Francis says he aimed to capture the spirit of a group of people "enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime evening together."

The Fray Premieres New Video For "Syndicate"

Denver-based piano rock band The Fray team up with Yahoo! to premiere a music video in support of their latest single "Syndicate", the third single appearing in the band's self-titled studio project "The Fray," which was released on February 3 through Epic Records. Following the success of lead single "You Found Me," the album the album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart, and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2010, but it lost to "The E.N.D." by the Black Eyed Peas.
The Fray, a foursome whose melodic pop-rock songs and soaring vocals resonate with sprawling tapestries and tales of hopefulness and heartache. Formed in 2002 by Isaac Slade (vocals, piano) and Joe King (guitar, vocals), The Fray earned a loyal grassroots following through impressive area gigs and the support of local radio which led a listener-driven campaign to get the band a record contract.
