Paris Hilton parties with Lil Wayne in 'Good time'

Summer's not quite over yet, because Paris Hilton has just invited you to her EDM-heavy pool party. The 32-year-old hotel heiress, queen of the nightclub circuit and recent Cash Money signee, makes her return to the music world with the release of her new single "Good Time," featuring her Cash Money label-mate Lil Wayne and produced by DJ Afrojack. The song's an EDM-pulsing rave riot, with the video finding Hilton donning a sequenced bathing suit, partying with super soakers and posing with male models in speedos. And she's quite unapologetic about it all.
"Good Time" is expected to serve as the lead single to appear on Hilton's upcoming, untitled sophomore studio album, due in early 2014 and marks Hilton's return to music after a seven-year hiatus. The new set, Hilton described as "very eclectic" and also heavily produced by Afrojack, features collaborations with RedOne, Snoop Dogg and Flo Rida. "I'm working with so many talented and awesome people for my album and can't wait to share more of the music," Hilton tells Rolling Stone. "For me this song is so catchy and fun the way it moves from pop to a true dance number."
As Hilton's Cash Money debut, the track has the hotel heiress celebrating a night out, is entirely electronic, with amped-up synths, hand claps and plenty of Auto Tune, and abides by party rocking, flipping off the haters and, of course, having a good time. "I came here just to party/Don't you hate on me," Hilton sings in the sugary hook. "I might be a bit tipsy/It's OK cause you're with me." Wayne, bare chested and donning oversized red sunglasses, makes a grand Weezy-like entrance, with a long guest verse that boasts: "YMCMB, bitch/Paris doesn't speak French."
The smoldering video for song was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, and shot in Los Angeles back in July 23. It features Hilton flaunting her figure and gyrating poolside, fist-pumps some glowsticks and poses luxuriously, in a barely-there bikini and cooing suggestively over a juiced-up dance and turnt-up beats as she throws an epic pool-party bash, complete with glow sticks, bottles and a 10-foot-tall robot, otherwise known as Kryoman. "The video is so sexy and so much fun, I really wanted it to be colorful and full of life and my friend Kryoman flew out to be in it and he just makes the video so much fun like spraying all the CO2 canisters," Hilton recently told MTV News.

Zedd & Hayley Williams ask you "Stay the Night"

The rising EDM star Zedd and Paramore's frontwoman Hayley Williams play two young lovers who express attraction and separation between each other using contemporary dance in brand-new music video for their piano-driven electro-pop song "Stay the Night," the first single from the 24-year-old German/Russian electronic dance music producer/DJ's new deluxe edition of his debut album "Clarity", in stores today. The song features Williams singing, "Are you gonna stay the night?" over one of his signature club beats.
"I love building a track around a vocal," said Zedd. "It enables me to marry the melodies and harmonies together so they fit like a glove which is what I tried to do with 'Stay The Night.' Hayley sounds amazing on the record, she really brought it to life with her emotion and attitude." According to Zedd, the original idea was to have a guy singing lead. "We had the topline written and we needed a singer, and we were kind of brainstorming on who would be a good fit; at first we thought it might be better to have a male singer," Zedd told MTV News. "But then, since I know Hayley's voice, we had the idea to use her for the track. I kind of think it's more sexy and interesting with her singing it."
Zedd told MTV News that Williams' soulful vocals fitted well as he has a lot in common with Paramore's rock sound. "Although my music is electronic, it has a lot of influences from my past, which is all sorts of genres; I've been in a rock-metal band for a longtime, and I still feel like, personally, I have a lot of influence from that," he said. Williams wrote the lyrics about a couple breaking up but staying together for one more night of passion. She finished them in a Paris hotel room, the day before she recorded her vocals. "I was actually getting into the shower and it just happened," she explained to Radio.com. "The words just came to me and I got out immediately and wrote everything down."
Directed by Daniel "Cloud" Campos, the clip sees Williams looking flawless with her new short hair belting out the lyrics of the song, and Zedd playing the piano, as a couple perform a contemporary dance routine around a sofa. The storyline is a pair of troubled lovers, who know they're no good for each other, yet cannot deny (or ignore) the chemistry they share. The clip shows the couple tries to get past those awkward couch moments and find a true connection and the only thing that'll spark romantic bliss is the will to dance. Love doesn't always work out, no matter how much we want it to, we all know that to be true, though it takes a truly deft touch to express it. Especially without saying a word.

Nelly Furtado Unveiled "Waiting For The Night"

Nelly Furtado taps into her Latin roots in the enchanting Flamenco-Glam visual for her newest single, "Waiting for the Night," the third European single and  the fourth overall single from the 34-year-old songstress' first English-language fifth studio album in six years, "The Spirit Indestructible." The video isn't too complicated. But it's fun, fierce and fabulously in keeping with one of the best songs off the album.
"Waiting For The Night," produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, is a dance-pop and electro-pop number with elements of Latin pop, R&B and folk featuring accordion and bagpipes. Lyrically, the song is about her having a crush on a boy, and it was inspired by a diary she kept as smitten sixteen-year-old on a summer vacation on São Miguel Island, Portugal, her parent's birthplace. On this track, she snatches the beyond-played-out thrash-dance template and makes it sound, if not fresh, then at least palpably urgent—that is, until it tags out on a wonky accordion riff. Nonetheless, solid effort.
"Waiting For The Night" features the best use of an accordion in pop music since The Wanted's "Glad You Came," and it sounds a lot like you may think a song named 'Waiting For the Night' may sound. Perhaps the catchiest single to come off the album, and with an easily memorable chorus. The song has a Latino/dance feel to it while the video features some sort of voodoo contemporary dance-what's not to love? It's a black and white affair, which may remind you of her Folklore days. Works through some geographic displacement, the Canadian Portuguese songbird lights up the screen as as Furtado and her team of dancers don the looks of Dia de los Muertos inspired makeup on only half of her face, doing some sultry noirish swaying with zombie dancers, and working their way through the tango, flamenco and tribal dance in an underground dancehall and shows off her exotic beauty in this new clip. The camera then pans to a group of foreign dancers perform the song around her rocking the same style - only this time, they're clad in white dresses and doing a choreography.

Sabi Unveiled "Where They Do That At?"

With the release of her debut album coming this year, it is finally time for breakout artist Sabi to fully shine! The up and coming pop force Sabi just released the video for her brand new Wale-featuring banger, "Where They Do That At?" Sabi's vocals are sweet, the robotic bridge was cool, Wale's verse is brilliant, the whole lyrics/message is relatable. The dark, edgy club banger and its equally fierce video are sure to blast the door open for R&B newcomer Sabi.
It's been a little over a year since the 23-year-old rapper/singer made a major splash guesting via her memorable "steamin' like a pot full of vegetables" rap on the Britney Spears track "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" from her "Femme Fatale" record. The singer explains, "I grew up watching Britney's videos. It's crazy to want to be a part of the music industry my entire life and then get the opportunity to be featured on a record by one of my idols."
Following that and appearances with Brit on tour, the buzz-worthy artist then broke out in a big way last summer, and guested on Cobra Starship's top 10 hit single "You Make Me Feel...," while also releasing her dubstep-infused teaser single "Wild Heart." Sabi was inspired as a child by early MTV superstars Michael Jackson, Prince, and Sade. These days she counts Lauryn Hill, Lykke Li, Florence + the Machine, and Bats for Lashes among her musical influences.
The Tim Cruz-directed clip for the sassy track beneath the palm trees and in the reservoirs of Los Angeles, on the sidewalk, in a swag convertible ride, outside a church and even in the parking lot of the Forum, the famed concert venue in the California girl's stomping grounds of Inglewood, where the Warner Brother signee, strikes some poses and dances around to her tune about a guy she had a thing with until he up and disappeared. "Just don't say you love me and never come back," Sabi sings on the track.

Adam Lambert Says "Better Than I Know Myself"

Adam Lambert is the only person in the new video for his sweeping new single "Better Than I Know Myself," but the striking clip adds a level of context to the song, shifting its focus from an external relationship to an internal one. The new track is the first cut off American Idol runner-up's upcoming sophomore album, "Trespassing," which he said takes his fans on, "an exciting journey through the past two years" of his life.
The moody midtempo and electro-pop piano ballad finds Lambert belting vocals about a lover who knows him better than he knows himself. Lyrically, the song revolves around romantic regret, and the 30-year-old explained the song's meaning is, "about the relationship you have with yourself, between your dark and light side. It's about duality; it's about that balance and finding it and struggling to maintain it and what it means. No matter what kind of relationship, everybody can relate to that moment."
Lambert is seen in two completely different sides to the performer's personality in the Ray Kay-directed new clip. one warm and homey, the other cold and sinister as he battles his inner-demons and wins. Evil Lambert, the glammed-up, liquor-chugging, dark version is on one side, while tea-drinking, meditating Adam is on the other. While Lambert's blue-eyed good side has 100 percent oxygen pumped into the room, the bad side douses the floor in alcohol and lights a match. And in the final shot, it appears that his dual personae have merged.
Lambert's soaring and impeccable vocals on this melodically challenging song, and his more stripped down and sophisticated look. MTV called the song "one of Adam's biggest, boldest and most beautiful tracks to date." The clip is highly stylized and gothy noir; The cinematography is lush and vibrant, nicely capturing the juxtaposition between the light and dark sides of his personality and that's exactly what Lambert's said "Trespassing" is all about, so the video serves as an ideal introduction for what fans should expect on the album.

Patrick Stump Sends Love Letter To "This City"

Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump released the music video for "This City," the lead single from his solo debut album, "Soul Punk," will hit US stores on October 18. Featuring his fellow Chicagoan rapper Lupe Fiasco, and the duo have made their statement on their home city of Chicago, it also sees snippets of the rocker wandering around a bustling metropolis. While the 'Superstar' rapper spits his verse in a hoodie, Stump dances around in a tuxedo as they sing praises of Chicago in video.
Stump not only lost a bunch of weight during the indefinite break of the rock band, but he also took that time to work on his much-desired solo debut. The 27-year-old is best-known as the main creative force behind '00s pop-punk standard-bearers Fall Out Boy, but the R&B and hip-hop influences that have long been part of his music come to the foreground on his upcoming album, "Soul Punk." "This City" is equal parts love letter to the Windy City and dance song, steered by Stump's high, slightly feminine melodic vocals, set against club beats, and Fiasco's hard hitting rap verse, upping the song's rhythmic quotient.
The catchy tune with full-on R&B mode and pop-synth explosion, is more soul than punk. Stump said the track's poppy slickness is representative of the album, "It sounds kind of like it makes sense on the radio but at the same time doesn't at all. It's very me." The song also caused Stump to change the course of the entire "Soul Punk" album. He explained to Billboard magazine: "I had written a while draft of the album and then at the 11th hour came up with 'This City.' I really loved the song but felt like, conceptually, it didn't fit on the album. I had to go back and make an album for that song because I loved it so much."
The Ken Koller-directed video is a decidedly minimal affair, and it features Stump singing whilst various images and lights are projected on the walls. Stump told to MTV News why instead of filling the screen of shots of city life he went with an artfully abstract way to present the song: "The song's called 'This City,' and it describes a lot of these images in a city, and I feel like those images are already there; it would be kind of redundant to take a camera into a city; it's almost like the colors and the lights and the images that are going to be around this are going to be representing the life in a city."

Timbaland Enjoys Parties In "Pass at Me"

Bikini clad babes rule the world in Timbaland's new island-themed video for his new single "Pass At Me," the first official single from Timbaland's forthcoming third installment of his album series "Shock Value III," which drops in November. From the gorgeous islanders to the breathtaking vistas, this fun bottle-popping video captures everything beautiful about tropical locations.
Timbaland teamed up with Cuba's own rapper Pitbull and French DJ David Guetta to create this fun-loving track, a record full of uptempo vibes that help with the rump shaking. The trio hit an island and look pleased with themselves as they enjoy the crystal ble waters and surround themselves with full of gorgeous models and native beauties for a good time. This uptempo track will definitely make you want to dance and the new "Pass At Me" video doesn't spare the fancy footwork.
It's a fun and tribal style clip, which wastes no time establishing its direction with an opening scene in which a bevy of bikini beach babes frolic in the water. Next, viewers see Pitbull, who hangs out on board for a deserted paradise filled with bootylicious dancers and serves as yacht captain as the vessel speeds through the water. The 'Planet Pit' MC opens the song and handles the bulk of the lyrics here and spends most of his time out on the waters.
Apparently, that much booty makes Timbaland crazed and the "Shock Value" rapper surrounds himself with dancing hotties, dressed in red carnival-type outfits who stays on dry land, and enjoys watching girls in tribal-themed, bright red bikinis dance around him. He mostly just makes odd faces as he looks at cuties and yells, "Oh, my God!" While Guetta finally shows up in some footage of one of his massively attended DJ shows for the final minute, as the scene shifts to a concert setting, with the French DJ who produces the single spins turntable and pumps up the crowd on stage performing a sold-out live concert for thousands of screaming fans.

Pixie Lott Is Having Fun In "All About Tonight"

Returning on our screens and music channels with a new look, Pixie Lott has finally released the video for her comeback single "All About Tonight." The fun filled dance themed anthem track, which premiered earlier this week is the lead single from the British diva's upcoming sophomore album and was launched by the 20-year-old star herself on Twitter earlier Friday. Just like the song, fun and upbeat, the video looks like a fun affair that wonderfully captures the frivolity of a night out with the girls.
After releasing her debut album "Turn It Up" in 2009, Lott continued to reach higher and higher levels of success which led to "Turn It Up" reaching triple platinum status and her having a total of 93 weeks in the chart. With two No.1 singles also under her belt, the 20-year old can has the pop scene firmly grasped and her fans can only wait for her second album to drop this autumn. I always thought that Lott was designed as a young soul/pop warbler. The exuberant and fun young party girl look is giving me an unexpected spin but none more so than the smoky new look she’s serving here.
"All About Tonight" is a fairly decent and a sweet dance-pop number with a carefree vibe. The catchy hook is marvelous, and the beat also has some elements of house/trance music at moments. Lott sings about going out and having fun for a party-rage-on goof time. Much more club friendly than her previous releases. The upbeat-dancey single is what every Lott fan was asking for, no more safe ballads, we want a fun Lott, with songs we can dance along. Although "All About Tonight" won't be officially released until September 4th, Lott gives us today the music video for the new single.
English pop sensation shows off her new short hair and new 'attitude' on the music video for "All About Tonight," which was shot in LA and directed by acclaimed director Marc Klasfeld, who has previously worked with the likes of Katy Perry and Jay Z. The sultry dance clip I believe that it's channeling the early 00s, basically sees Lott executing a fierce dancing in the middle of a street accompanied by a bunch of people, mixed with close-up scenes, and scenes of Lott donning an unfortunate heinous wig and giving a penetrating look, and glamorous shots of Lott working a leather couch with a slicked-back hair sexy look.

Mylène Farmer Released "Lonely Lisa" Video

Mylène Farmer, often referred to as "the French Madonna," has just premiered a music video for another RedOne collabo and dancefloor pleaser, "Lonely Lisa." The electro-dance cut serves as the third single to be lifted from her 3x Platinum eighth record "Bleu Noir," in France and although I have no idea what the song's all about, it does sound the most rhythmic and catchy hits by Farmer. I may not understand everything that Farmer says, but the song is a wonderful dance pop affair, and I just love the video and enjoy her music nonetheless!
"Lonely Lisa" was written by French diva with the music composed by RedOne. Musically, the song has electro-oritented and dance sonorities. "Lonely Lisa" is by far the catchiest song on "Blue Noir." It's whirling synths, pulsing electronic basslines and huge catchy melodies take it to a level of perfection only a true pop icon can reach. It was generally praised in the media with a dynamic, rhythmic piece, and simple but catchy chorus. A potentially summer hit!
The Canadian born French singer is known for her creative output, both musically and visually. She gained fame with songs featuring shocking yet poetic lyrics, and explicit music videos. By the turn of the decade Farmer was a full blown superstar in France. The album seems to have surpassed even Farmer's standards of success. Despite being released in December it was one of the top ten biggest sellers of the year, and the formula of Farmer collaborating with big hitters Moby and RedOne seems to be a winning combination. With a record 11 number one singles in France so far, and the two previous songs from "Bleu Noir," and it will be interesting to see if this makes it 12.
The promo is surreal, but actually very tame for Farmer, who has a long history of crazy-looking clips. Shot in May, the video for "Lonely Lisa" was directed by Roy Raz, will no doubt spark the Lady Gaga comparisons. While the debate will rage, some no doubt saying Gaga was influenced by Farmer and borrowed her ideas, or that Farmer is borrowing some of Gaga's style to boost her career, what's certain is that Gaga's international success has probably made it easier for female artists to be heard, and ones with ideas like Farmer can certainly make the most of the opportunity. The video certainly keeps up Farmer's reputation for making videos that are an essential element of her art.

Patrick Stump Shines In 'Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)'

For those of you who want to see people celebrating their individuality in a music video without being subjected to intergalactic vaginal births, Ex-Fall Out Boy rocker Patrick Stump has the solution. The singer dropped his first video as a solo artist, "Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)," from his 6-song digital debut EP, "Truant Wave." The 26-year-old gets positive, grabs the spotlight for himself. His new video is most certainly a departure from everything he did in his former band, about expressing your individuality and loving who you are!
Since Fall Out Boy went on hiatus a while back, the former band mates have all been off doing their own things. Most decidedly creative, however, is the solo project that crooning front man Stump has undertaken. Fall Out Boy proved to be a powerhouse of a pop-punk band, and having had the privilege of working with them in the past I can tell you they were quite the musical force to be reckoned with. While Stump has given up Fall Out Boy, he certainly hasn't given up on his talent. He may be soft-spoken, but the Chicago native has some serious pipes (but this we already knew).
"Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)" is an irresistibly hooky track with a chorus encouraging people to reach their own greatness. What better way to illustrate said message than to present a parade of people showing off their talents like skateboarding, pogo-stick-flipping, and extending their tongues way out? The track is also an uplifting singer-songwritery bit that sounds more like Coldplay than Fall Out Boy, but the video is amazing enough to win over even Stump's pop-punk fanbase. Last week, Stump told MTV News that his brand-new "Truant Wave" EP wasn't "Take This to Your Grave, Part II," and if the 23rd-century pop&B sonics of the thing weren't enough to convince you of that fact, well, then perhaps his "Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)" video will.
Ordinary people doing amazing things in the slow motion, low-budget video, directed by Joe Wein, captures Stump as he interacts with people (and animals) doing extraordinary things and showcasing their unique talents. Throughout the video, Stump appears to be experiencing the same posi-vibes as the kids he's surrounded by. It's an up-beat song about overcoming your obstacles and being your own spotlight, because everyone is a star in their own right. The clip features dozens of people showing off what they do best, whether that thing is skateboarding, cup-flipping, yo-yoing or swingin' nunchucks. And Stump, being the good sport, attempts some of these activities as well to various degrees of success.

Neon Hitch Cries Out For Lovelorn "Get Over U"

The flamboyantly-named Neon Hitch has penned tracks for the likes of Ke$ha and Britney Spears, but the British circus performer-turned-songwriter is ready to step into the spotlight herself. She's already appeared on the Almost Alice soundtrack and showed us another perspective on Travie McCoy's "Billionaire," and now we're happy to premiere the British synth-pop singer's new video for her dreamy single "Get Over U," the first offering from Hitch's debut effort "Beg, Borrow, and Steal," which is slated for release later this year via Warner.
The lovelorn track was co-written by Australian singer/songwriter Sia and produced by Benny Blanco, is highly reminiscent of Robyn's sound. It's an instant and clever tune with an highly addictive power. The infectious pop tune is pure magic at its core and has all the makings of a massive hit with Blanco's top-notch, crisp production, Hitch's idiosyncratic vocals and an emotionally-honest sentiment that people everywhere will be able to easily relate to. "You can't see all the scars your love has caused," Hitch cries out while comforted by a pop-savvy, pulsating beat. Whoever thought this spunky gypsy gal who used to room with Amy Winehouse is just a one trick pony, better listen to "Get Over U" and re-think that.
Hitch appears ready to make a prominent breakthrough in 2011, and her ideal sound is an organic stage of synthetic pop melodies slathered over hip-hop infected beats. When it comes to your first music video and official unveiling of yourself to the world as a new artist, it's important to clearly define who you are right out the gate and let everybody know just what the hell you're all about, and Hitch has done exactly that with "Get Over U." The simple yet beautiful visual takes place after Hitch's had one final fight with her on again/off again boyfriend, and follows her as trawls the beach and local area looking for water to create a cleansing bath to wash away the past.
The video, which depicts Hitch cleansing herself (quite literally) of a relationship turned sour, was directed by Jason Bergh, lets one see Hitch respond to a hostile situation at home as she travels from the trailer park to the sea and back. As she does all of these, one can see that Hitch actually shows her roots in the video via her gypsy ways. Heck, the presence of glass bottles and rose petals shows that Hitch really knows what she is doing. There's a clear nod to her real life upbringing in the video, from the caravan park to the gypsies to the fashion, which really adds a sense of genuineness to everything. The jewelery Hitch adorns is also gorgeous and immediately distinctive. Watch the gypsy queen's video below!

Clare Maguire wrote 'the last dance' for her hero

You may remember that I posted you about Clare Maguire last Wednesday as one of the most exciting new acts to watch in 2011. After the stunning "Ain't Nobody," the Birmingham singer returns with a new video for her follow up single, "The Last Dance," that is the first proper single from Maguire who seems to suddenly be all over the place thanks to her inclusion on just about every 'big in 2011' list going. The bog standard '80s style synth build is nothing to write home about, but the focus of this song is understandably not the instrumentation or the gospel-y backing vocals that are probably unnecessary when all is said and done, but on the voice of Maguire herself.
Written the day after her childhood hero Michael Jackson passed away, "The Last Dance" is the second single and the one of the most personal tunes to be released off Maguire's upcoming debut album, "Light After Dark." The new single will be released on February 20 on Polydor, and her debut album, the heavy-sounding "Light After Dark" follows a week later. The 22-year-old singer describes the album as a big album with epic production. "There's a big, epic production sound to the album, and I'm worried about how I can get that across live. I'm worried and excited about bringing these songs to Ireland. I'm so passionate about this because when you've been waiting 22 years to do something, you really want to get it right."
Not only was writing "The Last Dance" a way for the singer to cope with the untimely death of her childhood hero, it was also a way to vent about the misplaced rumor and innuendo that immediately followed Jackson's passing. "The Last Dance" is probably the most mainstream sounding song we've heard from Maguire thus far, which is definitely a good thing since it should allow her to turn some of this critical buzz into commercial success. It's not a bad tune, and you'll find yourself nodding along wants the drums and bass really pick up towards the middle of the song. Listen to the stunning voice of Maguire as she belts out a self-written number for her long-time idol, Micheal Jackson.
I can't get over how wonderful Maguire's voice is. It evokes a lot of emotions for sure. Listening to this song evokes a very deep, slightly unbearable sense of nostalgia and sadness. Not to sound like some 40-year old going through a mid-life crisis, wanting to recapture my youth or anything. But I think some of you might get what I'm trying to say. It's a very beautiful song. Maguire may be barely in her 20s but she's already got received more accolades in her brief time in the public eye than most acts garner during full careers. The 23-year-old possesses a good ear for pop tunes and deep, throaty wail that landed her on BBC's The Sound of 2011 list. The brummie beauty looks mighty fine in the video to her epic new single, flashing her long legs in a variety of frocks and leotard. Clare Maguire Debuts Video For "Ain't Nobody"

For most girls living in Birmingham, England, becoming an international recording artist requires a lifetime of experience, serious industry connections, and an insane amount of luck. But most girls are not Clare Maguire, who could be the next big female vocalist to take on Florence and her ginger Machine. Maguire's big dramatic voice is indeed an impressive instrument, one that belies her tender years, and it's as suited to folk as it is to gospel, as comfortable fronting user-friendly electro-pop as gliding over a trip-hop backdrop. Her music is fierce and intense, yet tender when it needs to be and totally relatable to every listener, she takes us places we have all been. She is an incredible talent and one I have had on my radar all year. Take a listen to Maguire and do not forget who she is, something is about to pop in a big way with her.

Maguire said about this tune: "It's a very mysterious and passionate song; it's the most ethereal on the album. To be honest, all of the other songs are a lot more straightforward lyrically. This one is definitely a bit otherworldly." She added, regarding the song's meaning: "It's really about passion and a deep yearning for somebody. I didn't want it to be too straightforward. I wanted it to have that open, deserty feeling, which is why I incorporated guitar. It's an epic love song."
The imagery of this video, directed by Sam Brown, is based upon that feeling," Maguire explained: "I want to continue making videos that stick to the true emotion and feel of each of my songs. I hope that I've achieved this with 'Ain't Nobody,' the feeling of desolation, yearning and passion in the deepest sense that it is hard to make out where it comes from, so strong that you lose yourself in it." Maguire said that she had a big say in the planning of the video. "I said what I wanted, and a few different directors brought me back their ideas. Sam did exactly what I was thinking though. We had this discussion about it and then went from there. It was great because he captured precisely what I wanted for that song. I want my music videos to really capture the songs."

Armin van Buuren vs Sophie Ellis-Bextor 'Not Giving Up On Love'

British pop singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor's solo career isn't as hot as it once was, but the sound of her sophisticated, posh warbling is still in super high demand in nightclubs across Europe, so she's teamed up with Dutch trance producer and DJ Armin van Buuren to release a music video on local Dutch television this week for their joint trance track "Not Giving Up on Love," the second single taken from Ellis-Bextor's fourth solo studio album, "Straight to the Heart," and the second from Buuren's new album "Mirage," which will see the light of day on September, 10. The new track just released digitally worldwide on Friday.
According to Buuren, "Not Giving Up On Love" is a melodic, electro-sounding vocal beauty with real drums, a piano line and an absolute feel-good sound to it. "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Born in Leiden, Holland to a musical family, Buuren indulged his passion for music from a young age. Being the official World's Most Popular DJ is just one of his many achievements, but the driving force behind his success is an overriding passion for dance music. "This is just what I really want," says Buuren. "It's not just love for music, it's my passion. It goes beyond liking, and beyond a hobby, it's about a way of living. Music is essential to my life."
The video was shot on party-island Ibiza, Spain and features shots in club-mayhem Amnesia by British director Sophie Muller, just seems to be her constantly lolling about on a boat. Ellis-Bextor's timeless elegance is really on full display in the video. As stated by Ellis-Bextor on an interview, "We've got a really beautiful location. And we'll be on a boat. It's going to be directed by Sophie Muller. And then I'm going to perform with Armin at the Amnesia club, where he has a residency," Ellis-Bextor shared to us. "It's going to be so much fun. I like Ibiza, it's really beautiful. San Antonio is not really my cup of tea but the rest of the island is gorgeous."
The 31-year-old Ellis-Bextor's music is a mixture of mainstream Pop, indie and disco with 1980s electronic influences. She is noted for a strong English accent even while singing. We're never quite sure whether Ellis-Bextor has gone away or not. Every single seems to be a sort of come back song, and "Not Giving Up On Love" isn't any different. As per usual with collaborations between DJs and disco divas, the producer just had to go and inject himself obnoxiously dancing about at his turntable. Those dancehall moments ruin the magic a bit, though not entirely: This is still Ellis-Bextor's game, and she looks nothing less than her usual, statuesque self, standing and posing effortlessly in front of various summery locales. Her voice, which has spent the good part of the last decade wistfully sweeping across dance floors everywhere.

McLean Released Another Soulful For "My Name"

Modern soul has a new name. Widely tipped as one to watch in 2010, UK singer and new urban kid on the block McLean (aka Digga) has just premiered a brand new video on McLean's YouTube channel for his first electro-pop ballad single "My Name" via Asylum Records, and taken from his upcoming debut album. Once again McLean has impressed with another high quality video. I absolutely love the synths in this track and combined with McLean's amazing voice.
The track is a relaxed dance-pop/R&B record and a great follow-up to his last years magical and soulful debut single "Broken" which has since amassed 5 Million YouTube views and 20 Million views across Myspace. "My Name" showcases this voice, prompting a host of media to predict that McLean will be a major breakthrough act this year. It has been remixed by many other British artists. It thought that the producer of the song is Fraser T. Smith, but was also originally produced by Slick and Magic in London.
The song was completed in Los Angeles by Dylan "3D" Dresdow, the mix engineer that also mixed every Will.I.Am or Black Eyed Peas' record since "Elephunk."BBC chart blog's Fraser McAlpine states about song: "Interesting how they really layer on that autotune at the crucial moment, the bit where he claims to want to give you, the most important person in his life and therefore his most precious love, his name. I wonder if that's so the song can't be considered to be legally binding, should McLean's actual girlfriend sue him for non-delivery of ring and promise in the event of his becoming famous with a song in which he promises to marry her."
Hailing from Dagenham, emerging British crooner McLean has fought his way up through the UK urban scene working with Chase & Status, Tinie Tempah, Ironik, Tinchy Stryder and N-Dubz along the way. McLean's voice is uniquely soulful and producer Fraser T Smith describes him as: "The modern day Marvin Gaye," leading to a plethora of premiership producers working in the studio with McLean on his debut album. "My Name" is an ultra-catchy ditty that you can file right next to Jay Sean, Jason DeRulo and Trey Songz. McLean has some savvy songwriters who know perfectly how to match his warming soul timbre with a polished, radio-ready melody. I really hope this one gets enough exposure and he continues to do great things for UK urban music.

Nina Sky Premiered Video For "Beautiful People"

The R&B twin sisters duo Nina Sky gives their fans something to enjoy while they wait for their next album, recently dropped their low budget music video for their new dance-pop and very upbeat single "Beautiful People" Friday, January 29, on their blog, Nina Sky High. This official lead single is supposed be the Stereotypes production, from their upcoming sophomore album, "Starting Today," which was formerly titled "The Musical". The album is set to be released sometime later this year with the likes of Rick Ross, Ryan Leslie and Daytona serving as featured guests on Polo Grounds Music/J Records.

Whether they take a light R&B approach or jump head first into dance music, their ultimate goal is to still make you move your body. The twins came a long way and it will be dope to see what they come up with once their album comes out!

Selena Gomez Premiered "Naturally" On Disney

Disney starlet Selena Gomez lets thing flow natural in the official music video for "Naturally", the latest hit single from her debut album "Kiss & Tell," has world premiered last night (8:40 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel during an episode of her TV series "Wizards of Waverly Place," as well as twitvid.com. The single will go into rotation on Radio Disney that same day.
"Naturally" was confirmed on Gomez's live web-cast to be the second single, which is an electropop song that has a juicy and instantly memorable vocal hook. The song was peaked at No.9 on Billboard Hot 200 since being released on September 29. "Naturally" was written by Antonina Armato, Tim James and Devrim Karaoglu and directed by Chris Dooley who also directed Gomez's first music video, "Falling Down." The song "Naturally" will be performed on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010.
The colorful music video for "Naturally" was shot on November 14, It features the young songstress undergoing several costume changes and singing the song energetically in front of a large projection of colorful platform. Previously, Selena shared the concept of the video to MTV when met at 2009 American Music Awards saying, "The video is very different from any other video that I've done." She added, "It has a lot more fierce clothes and a lot of fun colors."
With the 17-year-old signer/actress and her band getting duplicated every second, you can't take your eyes off the video! The Scene dished that they had to re-record this track especially for the video. It's truly incredible that, at a tender 17 years of age, the Wizards of Waverly Place star has mastered the whole "tilting her head downward and lifting her arms thing" so skillfully. There's no telling how many months she spent perfecting that move, and we only hope that she didn't sprain anything in the process.

Timbaland Premiered "Morning After Dark"

The hip-hop record producer and rapper Timbaland is back in stride, and has premiered exclusively a music video on Timbaland's official website in support of his single "Morning After Dark," features an additional rap verse from Portuguese-Canadian singer Nelly Furtado and his newly-signed French rapper SoShy. "Morning After Dark" is the lead single from his upcoming third studio album, "Shock Value 2," a consciously-styled sequel with an equally intriguing castlist (Katy Perry, Daughtry, Miley Cyrus) which is due for December 8 U.S. release.
Once upon a time, Timbaland was quite the trendsetter with his cutting edge beats and crazy samples. Those days seem to be behind him if his latest video "Morning After Dark" is anything to go by and he's jumped on the vampire-bandwagon. The Twilight-inspired cheesy video/short film was a over 7 minutes in lenghth longer than the song itself and directed by Paul "Coy" Allen, the video features a story plot based on a sexy girl who's spending her last week in Italy reluctantly heads off to a party who has several mysterious encounters with vampires similar to the film 'Twilight' were seen following her but whenever they try to hurt her, Timbaland and SoShy come in their way and trying to guard the girl from mysterious men and protect her. The powerhouse producer recently spilled the beans on crafting a sequel to the song saying "It fits everything going on with the vampire theme, and everything with 'Twilight.' I also have part two to the single too, so it's like a whole little story line to it."
Last Sunday night, the 2009 American Music Awards brought a lot of excitement for music lovers and the event was graced by the popular music sensations of the country, and they made the night full of colors and memorable with their performance. Timbaland made the best use of the night by appearing with both SoShy and Furtado to perform the song from an upcoming album is expected to raise the popularity of the album before its launch. It was one of my personal favorite performances of the night. Timbaland flirtatiously harmonizes over a galactic-sounding, double-speed piano and thumping beats. It has not only given wide exposure to his track but also to the new artist Soshy as she was introduced to thousands of people by this track and it would prove a better start for her career. The trio also hit up 'The Tonight Show' on Monday to belt out the tune for Conan O'Brien. Although, "belt" might not exactly be the proper term. It sounded like Timbaland was sing-rapping over a guide track, but you could still hear his live voice despite all the advanced technology.

Lady Gaga Launches Her "Bad Romance" Video

It's all the right amounts of crazy you'd expect from pop star Lady Gaga, after one day delayed to give more time to make it perfect, the much-discussed new video for her new single "Bad Romance" finally premiered on LadyGaga.com Tuesday. And needless to say, it was worth the wait.
The RedOne-produced track "Bad Romance" is the lead single from her upcoming highly anticipated "The Fame Monster" album which was meant to be a re-release of her debut album "The Fame" and will hits stores on November 23. The single was a hit even before it debuted, a testament to Gaga's global popularity and the power of her unique brand of art-pop.
The eye-catching and conceptual clip for "Bad Romance" was directed by Francis Lawrence who's also helmed clips for the likes of Britney, Justin, Gwen, Shakira and Janet Jackson, not to mention the post-apocalyptic Will Smith vehicle "I Am Legend." Gaga detailed what it was like to work with Lawrence on the project, "I knew ability as a director is so much higher than what I could. There's this one shot in the video where I get kidnapped by supermodels. I'm washing away my sins and they shove vodka down my throat to drug me up before they sell me off to the Russian mafia." When explaining her concept of the video she said "It was collaborative. He's a really pop video director and a filmmaker. He did 'I Am Legend' and I'm a huge Will Smith fan, so I knew he could execute the video in a way that I could give him all my weirdest, most psychotic ideas, but it would come across to and be relevant to the public."
The international pop diva more than lives up to her reputation for visual innovation in the new clip, which is the kind of video you just don't see very often anymore and that goes double for the anticipation surrounding it. This is officially the best video Gaga has ever done, and once you finish this five-minute extravaganza, you'll think the same. It's a testament to her brilliance as an artist that Gaga is using the "Bad Romance" video as the jump-off point for the next leg of her career. The message is clear: the old Gaga is over, here's the brand-new Gaga, the one who seems to delight in pushing the boundaries and exploring all manner of sexual proclivities. Gaga, the marketing genius of the century starts 'The Monster Ball Tour' on November 27 and it promises to be better than anything before.

Britney Spears Debuted Music Video For Song "3"

Despite going through a personal and career meltdown in 2007 and 2008, Britney Spears has bounced back and shows off lots of sexy choreographed routine and provocative moves in Diane Martel-directed music video for her new single "3", which was finally premiered online in its entirety last night after teasing the fans for one week, with much anticipation and it certainly delivered a touch of 'class' that Spears has been missing lately.
The song "3" was produced by Swedish songwriter and producer Max Martin, who helped catapult 16-year-old Spears into the world spotlight with Hit Me Baby One More Time 10 years ago. "3" is an uptempo dance song, that features a heavy bassline and has influences of electropop and rave, like many of her recent hits, Spears's vocals are altered with autotune, giving the song a futuristic, contemporary feel. Lyrically, the track is about the joy of threesomes. It's the lead single from her upcoming second greatest hits compilation album, "The Singles Collection," which will be released on November 24 to honor her 10th anniversary in the music industry and will feature 17 of her biggest hits.
The Queen of controversy is infecting the airwaves with yet another sinfully fabulous tune. "3" received positive critical appreciation from contemporary critics. "The bottom line is this is another irresistibly catchy pop confection that beats out most everything else on pop radio today". The song debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking many of the charts records. Spears became the first artist in over three years to debut at the top position and the only non-American Idol artist in eleven years to do so.
The The highly anticipated video for new single "3" was filmed earlier this month in Los Angeles, and has been dubbed raunchier than ever. It features the 27-year-old pop princess writhing around in figure-hugging outfits, and taking to the pole while rubbing up against her barely clad female dancers in the best way she knows how. Diane recently told Life & Style. "She's so creative with this stuff. The video is very simple, it's very, very minimal. So it's her, her, her. And she's totally engaging every second.
