A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera released their music video for the emotional ballad "Say Something," following a performance of the song on "The Voice." The heartbreaking yet understated video has New York-based indie pop duo Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino on the piano as a svelte Aguilera, clad in a little black dress, lends her soulful vocals. The song was originally released on band member Axel's solo album "This is the New Year," but went largely unnoticed until it was released as the second single on the band's debut studio album, "Is There Anybody Out There?"
Sonically, "Say Something" is an indie pop, piano ballad underlined by a piano and string arrangement. Lyrically, the song talks about a breakup, instead of being filled with anger and desperation, the singers expressing a powerful combination of humility, sadness, regret, and evoking the emotion felt when choosing to leave a failed relationship even though love still remains, with the lover imploring to make a statement that could potentially reverse plans. The song was written at a time when both members were experiencing individual heartbreak. "Writing the tune was part of the healing process," Axel told Billboard magazine. "Whenever we perform it, it's like revisiting the scar. It's always a part of me, and I can always go there and feel it."
Aguilera was clearly inspired by the song, reaching out to indie duo herself and asking them to duet. She said about the song "is sort of coming to me at a time when I'm feeling very inspired... it's so simple and it's so quiet and still and steady and in a way pleading to hear something, to hear some kind of answer or get an answer in the most humble, unassuming, non-demanding way." The song received critical acclaim, being praised for its powerful lyrics, the emotional production and Aguilera's delicate vocals added to the mix. It's one of her best ever, fortifying the hook and harmony masterfully.
Shot in Los Angeles, the video features Aguilera in a minimalistic black dress and natural make-up, reminiscent of her "Beautiful" days, as the trio look utterly sorrowful as they croon the break-up ballad together, with Axel carefully pounding away at the grand piano and Aguilera appearing on the verge of tears as the song reaches its climax. Interspersed with three stories, all of which will likely break your heart: A young couple on the verge of a breakup, a little girl hiding out from the world, and an elderly couple saying goodbye for the last time. Christina Aguilera debuts "Let There Be Love"

Christina Aguilera really shows the love to her fans, friends and family in the newly released heartfelt clip for her feel-good empowering anthem, "Let There Be Love," taken from 32-year-old singer's latest seventh studio album, "Lotus" which was released in November last year. The mentor of 'The Voice' said that the album would be about "self–expression and freedom" because of the personal struggles she had overcome during the last couple of years, and this club rave track "Let There Be Love" is free and representative of what this album is about.
"Let There Be Love" combines dance-pop, EDM and pop music genres, and is influenced by electronica and trance. Its instrumentation incorporates synths and drums. It was also deemed as one of the best songs on "Lotus" and that it would have been a better lead single option over "Your Body." The uptempo track is about as formulaic as club pop gets, but resonates effectively.  Aguilera had managed to create a prime disco diva anthem without the assistance of Calvin Harris. So it's also a massive clubby raveathon that is ultimately throwaway, but in the best possible way.
The clip was official released few hours after she posted a lengthy thank you message to fans on her official website. The letter reads: "I may get quiet at times, but when I do have something to say, I mean every word. I decided to share my thoughts with you at length and tell you openly how I feel. Thank you for filling my soul with melody and song... lyrics and love... and giving me a safe place I feel comforted in being brave enough to always bare my soul and come from an honest and genuine place. Be fearless enough to be a conversation piece... Speak your own truth... As always, thank you for accepting me for who I am. Being human - flaws and all."
The DIY style clip kicks off with the diva giving a heartfelt message to her fans. "Hey everybody Aguilera here just thanking you guys so much for filling my life and my heart with so much love continued throughout the years," Adding: "Standing by me, I appreciate all your support, this one is just for you." In clip, Aguilera looks happier and healthier than ever as she bops around smiling ear-to-ear in swimsuits showing off her trimmed-own figure, as she sings about equality. The clip also unfolds to reveal her family including son Max, boyfriend Matthew Rutler and celebrity pal Nicole Richie, while at the same time almost everyone making the "L" sign for love with their hands, as well as holding up signs with other positive messages of love and equality.

Pitbull & Christina Aguilera "Feel This Moment"

Pitbull and Christina Aguilera toast to the good life in the triumphant video for a thumping club beat, "Feel This Moment," their hit collaboration and the fourth single off Pitbull's seventh album, "Global Warming." It's Latin superstar overload that demonstrates how their respective moments often feature large, happy crowds in front of them. The duo simply just want to enjoy and feel this moment. Who wouldn't? (You know what, though, if my life was as balling as all of these guys, I'd never want it to end either.)
"Feel This Moment," is a dance-pop, hip house and electro house song, about stopping to take a moment to appreciate life. Interpolating the melody from Norwegian synthpop outfit A-Ha's famous 1985 synth-pop curio, "Take On Me," but in a souped-up 2012-friendly format, the glorious disco explosion sees Pitbull doing his typical swag-shtick and Aguilera gamely meeting him halfway with her gorgeous pipes and memorable chorus. This is actually quite a catchy tune to dance to and it boasts a sick hook. It doesn't feature any misogyny, which is nice.
The 32-year-old Cuban-American rapper spoke about their collaboration in an interview, "'Feel This Moment' is a special record, and to work with Christina Aguilera is an honor, a blessing, someone that I highly respected, as far as her talent, her voice, her range that she can take it, and I think 'Feel This Moment' is gonna be a great record, because it's got a very powerful sample and everybody's gonna dance too. On top of that, when I say 'Feel this Moment' is basically, 'feel life, don't live life for a moment, live life for life, that is your moment'."
The David Rousseau-directed clip is a split-screen, black-and-white affair, with lots of quick shots of Mr. Worldwide reflects on his journey to the top, being swaggy and vaguely predatory up on stage in any parts of his 'Planet Pit World Tour' across the globe and living the fast life, while curvy pop diva X-Tina showed off her full-bodied blonde locks and looks gorgeous as she vamps for the camera, wearing a black leather ensemble with huge, curly hair, dances in the corner and singing the chorus on a sound stage somewhere.

"The Voice" judge Christina Aguilera comeback machine kicked into higher gear Friday morning with a brand-new video for her racy bad girl track, "Your Body," the lead single from the pop star's forthcoming self-expression and freedom record, "Lotus," due to hit stores in November. It wouldn't be a Aguilera leadoff single without her patented shock-you lyrics and double entendre. You always want the first single from your newest album to capture people's attentions whether it be by the vocals, the melody or the lyrics.
The fun, sexy and upbeat club track "Your Body," is a belter of an electro-meets-R&B anthem that feels both fresh and exciting, with a trace of dubstep in the track's middle eight. Lyrically, it talks about anonymous sex, where Aguilera wants a one night stand with a random guy and that it's okay if the guy doesn’t know what he’s doing, since she can finish up on her own. Aguilera's voice is crisp and up-front in this boudoir battle cry, and the shuffling early '00s beat is prime for any number of potential remixes.
The four-on-the-floor rhythm refrain has Aguilera flaunting her famous pipes on either side with the verses, "All I wanna do is love your body." While the song’s message might not appeal to some people, you can't deny its catchiness and ability to make you move on the dancefloor. Musically, it's an interesting fit for the 31-year-old songstress - the relaxed tempo should allow her to really dig in and belt it out, but she never truly lets loose.
Working with director Melina Matsoukas, Aguilera tells a story of a sexy woman who hunts down men for pleasure. Yes. she is a men-killer, literally. The clip is certainly a feast for the eyes, what with its brightly colored scenes of violence, as she described it as "playful, tongue and cheek" video, where she plays a badass, confident, self-assured sexy hot siren who kills men after seducing them. She also takes her bad-girl image to delightfully dangerous new heights as a colorful vixen who robs convenience stores and blows up cars.

Maroon5 /Christina Aguilera 'Moves Like Jagger'

Grammy winners rock group Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera are taking viewers on a nostalgic romp through the '70s in their new video for "Moves Like Jagger," which debuted Tuesday, takes place at the historic L.A. Theatre and, as the song title suggests, features a lot of people trying to move like Rolling Stone rocker Mick Jagger. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine eventually takes center stage to start singing wearing nothing but snug-fitting polyester pants and his colorful tattoos.
This electro-pop track with elements of rock and soul, is billed as "Maroon 5 featuring Aguilera," though the latter actually does very little, only coming in at the bridge after two minutes. The song's lyrics refer to the narrator's ability to impress a female with his dance moves, which he compares to those of legendary Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger. The song is bound to appeal to lot of people. The music video just increases the appeal, because whatever one thinks about Mick Jagger, the clip brings back many memories of the rock n roll icon.
Levine told MTV News why he likes to move like the veteran Stones' frontman: "I've been a student at the Jagger School of Interesting Movement for 17 years. I'm graduating next fall, with honors," he said. "[His moves are] a very carefully calculated, but slightly spastic, incredible rhythmic experience, in which all of your limbs and every bone in your body is moving at completely different times, and it's impossible to re-create. Nobody has moves like Jagger, that's kind of the point. That's why the song is so fun, it's fun to try."
The Jonas Åkerlund-directed clip opens with black-and-white footage of the theater, shots of work crews assembling lighting and equipment onstage and groups of extras getting into costume, warming up for a shoot. This is followed by classic footage of Jagger, during which a reporter asks the iconic Rolling Stones frontman how long he plans to make music. When Aguilera makes her brief appearance, she fits right into the retro feel with mascara-heavy lashes and a floppy hat. For Levine and his bandmates, the song and video are all about exposing a new generation to the rock legend.

This time she's taken a much softer approach and looks great doing it, in the new video for her powerhouse latest 3rd piano-driven ballad "You Lost Me," which premiered Thursday on Vevo with an emotional and heart wrenching storyline of love. Both the song and its video are the polar opposite of Aguilera's first "Bionic" single, "Not Myself Tonight," representing a kind of return to form for the gifted singer. The 29-year-old singer goes natural beauty and is emotionally shook up over a seemingly perfect companionship tarnished by deceit.
The somber track is about a man who cheated on her and eventually left. It brings the honesty and emotion that have made Aguilera one of the premier balladeers of our time. The lovely ballad song shows off her amazing vocals, while the Anthony Mandler-directed video shows simplicity with pure passion and emotion. "This video will take you from a very dark place," Aguilera says of her new video. "What I wanted was a very raw and real feeling, kind of falling apart of your whole world." Aguilera says her goal was to capture the emotions that happen when "your relationship with this person is sort of being destroyed right before your eyes."
The video swapping her platinum pinup style for a softer image to suit the "Bionic" ballad. It begins with an extreme close-up of a gun barrel while the newly strawberry-blonde star wanders through a deserted bedroom and lays down in the dirt, but like a vintage Hollywood vixen, she always remains impeccably glamorous -- even while mascara streams down her cheeks. Mandler adds, "From the first keys of the opening of the track, we know that we are about to watch something that is going to move and transform us." The video will feature a series of connected vignettes. "In the end, we've traveled through Christina's world. One that is physical, mental and spiritually charged. Nothing is what it seems. Everything is fractured and evolving, falling away... fragile."
A leader in the parade of Mickey Mouse Club veterans who stormed pop at the turn of the millennium, Aguilera was the sexy, brassy diva of the bunch as it were. But by the time of 2006's third album "Back to Basics," it was clear that Aguilera was the most musically ambitious, and reliable, pop diva of the boom, and became a worldwide success. The pop single has released a insanely hot and video on Vevo for the lead single "Not Myself Tonight" off her forthcoming fourth studio album "Bionic," out June 8 and it is quite provocative. Aguilera shows off her big blonde curls and a sexy dominatrix outfit in her much-anticipated video. "I'm more confident and comfortable in my own skin," she said recently. "I think I'm even a more sexual Christina." A lot of people seem to think that the video is very Gaga or even Madonna inspired.

The video, which is inspired by S&M and features bondage, was influenced by other acts, and heavily pays homage to Madonna clips. The 29-year-old singer is seen sporting several hairstyles and outfits, including many which were dominatrix-style. And rocking various sexy lingeries, latex outfit, dominatrix gear and shows off the different facets of being "Not Myself Tonight."
"It's a very sexy video," she said in an interview with Us Weekly. "It was about different facets of being 'Not Myself'," she added her comment on the video which is filled with racy scenes. Aguilera is a pop-cultural reflection of the world. She breathes in culture just like all of us, but expels [it in] a deliciously fresh and exciting and superior way to all that have come before and all who have come since. Aguilera is the one to beat: beauty, brains, rhythm, voice and charisma to boot! Hopefully next time she steps in front of the lens she'll be more herself and less like everyone else.

The circus-themed video for "Hurt" was shot over five days in September and the video premiered yesterday on TRL. It is the first video Aguilera has directed. The video begins with the ending instrumental to "Enter the circus"/"Welcome", over which a carnival barker introduces a spectacular circus, and begins in black and white, and ends with a shot of Aguilera sitting on a circus box, singing and crying, before fading out to Aguilera's grief-stricken form on the ground outside the circus tent.
