Pixie Lott portrays young love in 'Break Up Song'

He recently welcomed her into his world when they collaborated in a Photoshop for agency Select Model Management. Returning the favor, Pixie Lott cast her real-life boyfriend Oliver Cheshire to play the love interest in the steamy music video to her new single, "Break Up Song." Giving a glimpse into their relationship, the pair get steamy in the three minute long clip as they portray the highs and lows of young love.
"Break Up Song," taken from Lott's new self-titled album, is a ballad made up of bittersweet lyrics which the singer has said is one of her favorites off the LP. The 23-year-old singer wrote this song with English singer-songwriter Jim Irvin, and producer Rami Afuni. When asked by You magazine if her model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire minds her writing songs about breaking up like this one, Lott replied: "I don't think he minds, because it makes great music; we are really strong. I think real emotion makes a better song. I just love writing about tragedy and heartbreak."
Directed by Nick Bartlett and filmed at London's Waldorf Hotel, the pop starlet and her 26-year-old beau tell the tale of a couple who have an intensely dangerous and passionate relationship, which basically sees the couple snogging and getting into mischief throughout the video. The action kicks off with the pair running through a hotel restaurant, cheekily grabbing cookies from leftover dinners. Showing off their mischievous side, the pair break into the posh establishment where they are chased around by security before finally escaping and end up in a huge open room as Lott belts out her huge notes, and shows off her tiny figure while lying flat out next to her man.
With some scenes shot using a hand held camera, the duo get hot and steamy and embrace one another as they lock lips and frolic between the sheets. However, the twosome are torn apart when Lott spies Cheshire talking to another woman at the bar and she loses her rag. The video comes to a close with Lott ends their romance by removing what appears to be an engagement ring from her finger before he storms off. The drama then cuts back to the bedroom where they stage make-up sex through Lott's tears and live happily ever after.

I think the track is a perfect second single because it still has an upbeat vibe you can dance to, but with a meaningful lyric in a soulful way. I love performing this live with the band because we can really get into it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!"
The release of "Nasty" back in March signaled a new era in Lott's career and it harked back to her roots, and number one inspiration - Motown. Even the fact that her upcoming album will simply be called "Pixie Lott" indicates that Lott is ready to lay herself bare in her most personal work yet, that reflects who she is now as a musician. But before the full extent of her renaissance becomes clear with the album's release in August, there's "Lay Me Down," to contend with first. Shot in Cannes, the video stars a Bardot-esque Lott opted for retro glamour and echoes her 60s influences in both fashion and music.

Lott seemed to be channeling Bridget Bardot's effortless class in one shot which saw the singer sitting atop a sun lounger with a large black hat on.

Pixie Lott hits a club & gets naughty in "Nasty"

Pixie Lott is well and truly back after a short absence away from music, and to celebrate reaching 23, the English songstress tries to leave her sweet angel image in the past with the premiere of her slightly-racy music video for her new singer "Nasty." The naughty, uptempo pop-blues track is the first single from the British singer's upcoming self-titled third studio album, due in stores on March 10th in the UK via Mercury Records. It’s been more than a year since Lott was last on the Official Singles Chart, but now she’s back and is ready to get N-A-S-T-Y!
The jazzy, provocative horn-heavy number was originally recorded by Christina Aguilera as a duet with her The Voice colleague Cee Lo Green. Their version was earmarked for Aguilera's 2010 "Burlesque" flick, but wasn't used in the movie though it did leak online in the spring of 2011. "A few other singers had recorded it and Christina was one of them so everyone wanted this song," Lott told The Metro. "When I heard other singers had done it I thought "I need to get this!" It was a difficult song to get because there are so many old-school samples on it, like James Brown, that are hard to clear copyright on. But I got it and now it is my new single."
"Nasty" marks a different style for Lott as she looks to reinvent herself as a 'pop' artist. Speaking about the provocative track recently, she said: "The thing is with this song, it's not nasty as in not being very nice, it's more about the naughty factor. It's more like a naughty nasty." The track recaptures that sultry jazzy voice Lott has and ups it with an incredibly catchy hook. Lott has turned this song into a mega-hit. As for the "Nasty" music video, the soul-pop princess did what the song required her too. She brought her nasty, sexy, naughty side to the surface.
Lott told You magazine about Bryan Barber-directed clip: "I wrote the treatment. I start out prim and proper, innocent and well-dressed, and then I see this guy and the clothes are transformed into something a bit more nasty. It was a cool video to shoot." The raunchy promo clip sees the blonde strutting down the street to an underground club, where she proceeds to get sweaty by dancing suggestively with her love interest while belting out the soulful and sensual track: "N-A-S-T-Y, you're nasty, but maybe I don't mind..." The point is, she does indeed get nasty.

British pop starlet Pixie Lott has unveiled the brand music video for for her new jam "What Do You Take Me For?" a collaboration featuring New York rapper Pusha T and produced by dubstep mixer Rusko, the new track, set to drop on November 7th, is the second cut taken from Lott's forthcoming sophomore studio album, "Young Foolish Happy," is scheduled for release on the same date as the single in UK.
The singer was discovered when she was just 15 years old by famed producer L.A. Reid, who signed her to Def Jam Records. Talking about the album's title, Lott once explained, "It was inspired by a lyric from an old soul song that I love by The Tams called 'Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy' - 'Young Foolish Happy' pretty much sums up the vibe of my album. It's a feel good party album but with lots of soul. I also think its a great sentiment for all ages to live life by!"

Pixie Lott Premiered New Video For "Turn It Up"

The British Soulful, R&B-influenced pop vocalist Pixie Lott has released the music video for her latest single "Turn It Up," which is scheduled to be released on June 7. The Cutfather and Jonas Jeburg-produced track serves as the title track and and the fifth single released from her debut Platinum-selling hit debut album.
The uptempo song "Turn It Up" itself has had a make-over, taking a relatively simple, and very enjoyable ballad and synthed it up, as well as throwing a few other production tricks into the mix. It may lose the subtleties of the original, but delivers that "big" Summer sound that radio loves, and it's now officially the cheeriest song about breaking up and moving on known to man.
The 19-year-old songstress rocks a figure-hugging black mini dress which is embellished with cream tassles in her newly-premiered video, which was shot in Los Angeles on April 17, and premiered on May 6. The video is literal of the songs lyrics, it's fresh and fun just in time for summer. It features Lott walking the back streets of Los Angeles whilst singing, before cutting to several different scenes on rooftops of Lott singing and dancing during sunrise and sunset. The theme of the video depicts Lott attempting to reconcile with her former lover who refuses to answer her calls. Ultimately, the two end up back in each others arms.
It's been a more than a year since I first laid my ears on this English gal, despite kicking off her pop career with two No.1 singles, debut single "Mama Do" and follow-up single "Boys and Girls," consecutive efforts have peaked lower in the charts. Now she sets her eyes into releasing a fifth single, and title one, which turn it up for the people that say "We're moving on and we'll be okay." This new single proves that she is here to stay. And she's got a long and winding road ahead of her.
