Kellie Pickler debut 'Makin' Me Fall in Love Again'

With a charming personality and an ear for some catchy tunes, Kellie Pickler has managed to move from American Idol runner-up to gold-selling recording artist on country radio for 19/BNA Records. Her three previous singles from her self-titled sophomore album have all managed to get inside the Top 20 with her 'duet' with BFF and tour partner Taylor Swift and now she's following it up with song that really recalls something that Pickler's idol Dolly Parton might have recorded. The blonde beauty's fourth single "Makin' Me Fall in Love Again," is about finding true love. Pickler choses a 1940s era theme to bring "Makin' Me Fall in Love Again" to life. Pickler has visited the Persian Gulf and other locations in support of the military.
"Makin' Me Fall in Love Again" is an up-tempo song, featuring a production with prominent electric guitar. The song's female narrator describes being in love and despite being told that it will fade, she finds the love rejuvenating every moment she spends with him, as if he's "makin' [her] fall in love again" each time. In an interview with The Boot, Pickler felt the song was a reflection of her current relationship. Pickler looks at her latest single as a blessing, because it was one that came in under the radar and was close to being too late to make her album. "This was the last song that we recorded for the album," she explains. "It just barely made it. We were ready to send it off to be mastered and to get it ready to be packaged for the shelves, but ["Makin' Me Fall in Love Again"] just made it barely. I was actually surprised how it did make it on there. I'm glad it did... It completed the record."
The music video, which was directed by Roman White, was filmed in Los Angeles in April, and premiered on GAC on May 14, and May 17 on CMT. In the video, Pickler is shown surrounded by members of the USO, and performing in various outfits that resemble fashions of the 1940s. The video's concept was chosen by Pickler, because she felt the 1940s celebrated the female figure: "I don't feel there was a pressure to be skinny and so deathly looking as what the pressure is now. The women were more 'womanly'-looking. They had curves. They had beautiful fair skin. It was just more natural."
Written by James Slater, Karyn Rochelle and Shane Stevens, "Makin' Me Fall In Love Again" has a catchy melody, a vocal that finds Pickler completely invested in the lyrics she's singing, as if she truly is falling in love over and over with her man. It's a song that anyone in a great relationship will relate to while it also is the kind of relationship people really want to find themselves in. Perfect for the lighter, feel-good summer radio playlists, the song has the potential to be Pickler's biggest hit to date and it could really give her some great traction at both radio and sales.

Adam Lambert's "Time for Miracles" From "2012"

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is back with his first song since on the AI season eight show in May. The AI star not only has his debut album coming out next month, but his amazing voice will also be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming sci-fi thriller blockbuster "2012". Not surprising to anyone, his new highly-anticipated song, entitled "Time for Miracles," is extremely theatrical, which makes sense, seeing as it's the theme song for disaster-flick auteur Roland Emmerich's latest film, has been clipped and its snippet has hit the web.
AOL Moviefone has an exclusive 86-second "Adam Lambert Music Teaser" sneak peek, featuring Lambert's stunning contribution to the theme of this year's biggest cinematic blockbuster, clips of Lambert belting out the tune in the studio, as well as providing the backdrop for plenty of eye-popping apocalyptic footage from Columbia Pictures "2012", which is about surviving the end of the world, and the divorced dad John Cusack racing around the globe to save his ex-wife (Amanda Peet) and their farm from the ancient Mayan-predicted apocalypse on 12/21/2012, hits theaters on November 13.
Lambert said, "The song 'Time For Miracles' is a classic rock ballad track that will be very catchy. It's a great song and perfectly fits the themes of the movie. I was thrilled to record this song for "2012", and I'm glad I had the chance to help create a unique sound for this movie." The song will be put out for purchase on Amazon on October 16. What I'm comfortable with saying at this point is that Lambert's voice sounds nothing short of amazing, mind-blowing, and simply unmistakable.
Lambert is currently recording his upcoming debut album on 19 Recordings/RCA Records which is set for release on November 24, has been riding high on Amazon's Top Sellers list for weeks. And more good news: Adam recently tweeted that he's working with producer Greg Wells, one of the powers behind Katy Perry's breakthrough album. No surprise there, given Katy's caped tribute to Adam on Idol.
