What’s the best way to deal with a breakup? Olly Murs hammers down the brick wall that's separating him from his heartbroken on-screen love Demi Lovato in a tense and emotional new video for their emotional duet "Up," the second single from the British singer's latest fourth album, "Never Been Better." It's just as moody as you'd expect for a song about a flailing relationship and the devoted love of a couple for one another and that they will definitely overcome the troubles that currently affect them.
The "Troublemaker" crooner and the "Heart Attack" hottie songstress trade verses about heartbreak, all while smashing various household items from guitars, to flower vases to pillows, perfectly depicting the frustration and pain you feel when going through a split. But, just as the lyrics suggest, there's a glimmer of hope that things will be looking, well, up, for this failing relationship. Together, the pair are like a whole demolition crew of emotion as they are seen leaning on the opposite sides of a wall as they sing about fighting to keep a relationship alive.
The shadowy video, directed by Ben and Gabe Turner, is a bit dark but emotions run high, with both artist brooding in bare rooms and having breakdowns on either side of a brick wall, as they portray the varying emotional stages of the uplifting soaring ballad. Murs lamenting a broken relationship in his living room, singing "Just tell me it's not the end of the line" before Lovato comes in on the chorus and on the other side of his wall to apologize for breaking his heart. But they'll try save it as they decided to bring down the wall between them, remove most of the bricks and give their love a second shot.

Olly Murs looks back on his short but extremely eventful career in the retrospective theme video for catchy new single "Right Place Right Time,” the fourth single, final single and title track from his current third studio album. The 29-year-old Brit star has enjoyed a banner year with unexpected US chart success and gets nostalgic in the reflective promo, which is made up of behind-the-scenes footage and memorable moments from his career so far.
Following up to his Top 10 smash "Dear Darlin’," Murs' new track "Right Place Right Time" looks back at his past endeavors. The track has been a crowd favorite during Murs' performances as special guest on Robbie Williams' European stadium tour, which has seen the "Heart Skips A Beat" singer gather critical acclaim, including The Times calling his duet with Robbie ('Kids') a highlight of the show. On the U.S. front, Murs barely became a breakout star earlier this year with his top 30 hit, "Troublemaker," featuring rapper Flo Rida. "Right Place, Right Time" was released as his debut album in the states, where it peaked at No.19 on Billboard.
The video reflects on key moments in his career and literally sees him being in the right place at the right time such as his The X Factor audition back in 2009, where he impresses judges like Simon Cowell. Olly Murs sends love to his ex via graffiti, cappuccino foam and a handwritten letter in the emotional visuals for his heartbreaking pop song, "Dear Darlin'," third single lifted from English pop singer's latest third multi-platinum studio album, "Right Place, Right Time," which shot to the top of the charts last November. The video shows us a more vulnerable and sensitive side to the usual cheeky chappy we see singing and dancing around in his other popular tunes.
Rose to fame on The X Factor UK in 2009, placing runner-up, the 29-year-old "Troublemaker" singer contemplates a lost love while writing the heart-warming ballad "Dear Darlin'" with his friend and fellow singer-songwriter, Ed Drewett and Jim Eliot. "Writing with Ed and him being my friend helped, as we sat there for hours before writing, going over old relationships and recalling their scenarios," Murs said of the song. "It's about writing to someone to tell them how I feel about losing someone. It's not the kind of song you'd expect me and Ed to write, as we're bubbly characters, but we were able to open up to each other."
Murs sings along to an up-tempo ballad as he seems to be missing a previous relationship he once had. Love hurts! "Dear Darlin'" sees Murs making the transition from pop playboy to soulful balladeer. Murs lays his emotions bare in the dramatic video for his latest single, which Shot in Los Angeles and depicts Murs' heartbreak when he's dumped by his girlfriend, as we see heartbroken Murs sat alone in an apartment thinking about a recent break-up and reflecting on the arguments with his girlfriend in their new home while they struggle to communicate their feeling towards one another in writing, and sadly the relationship goes south.
The two try to do just that by communicating their feelings through a letter, but neither can find the right words. Later on in the promo Murs is attempting to win back the love of his life with a series of romantic gestures and puts pen to paper to write down the song's poignant lyrics. As he and the girl are seen walking the streets around the town with the girl been given a coffee saying 'I (Heart) You' in it, then walking by a busker playing the guitar with a cardboard sign 'saying I Miss You' next to him. She later seen walking by a wall with the words 'These Arms Are Yours To Hold' and she is last seen writing 'Dear Olly I Miss You Too' in a notebook before ripping the page out and scrunching it up whilst Murs is seen on top of a tower.

Olly Murs has hooked-up with the Whistle rapper Flo Rida and is stirring up some trouble in the cheeky new video for his latest track, "Troublemaker" the lead single from the 28-year-old British pop star' upcoming third studio album, "Right Place Right Time," available in the UK on November 26 and the US on December 4. But not like album's tile, the X Factor popstar finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time in his new video.
"Troublemaker," has a very late-'90s, early-'00s vibe, is an incredibly catchy, fun and pure pop anthem, which Murs co-wrote with Claude Kelly and Steve Robson. It also has a '70s, disco beat, but it's tempered by Murs' silky smooth tone and delivery. That is, it never sounds retro. It's absolutely modern, despite a backbeat from another sonic era. Lyrically Murs has said that the song is about "that special girl that you can't shake off, even if you know you should because, let's face it, she's got a bit of a wild side." The lyrical hook that features the title has us wanting to make trouble.
Speaking about the unlikely collaboration, Murs recently explained that Rida was immediately interested in working with him and signed up after hearing the track: "Getting Flo Rida on the record was kind of easy, in a way. [It] wasn't hard." The two already collaborated together on track "Heart Skips A Beat." The album title reflects the way everything has fitted in place for the British star to date. "'Right Place, Right Time' as a title sums up my career to this point," he said. "I've worked hard in everything I've done, doing what's felt right, and everything has fit into place. It sums up the sentiment for this whole album."
The playful video features Murs following an unfortunate young lady around and causing her to fall victim to all kinds of mishaps, and by coincidence, she keeps crossing paths with Murs. The pair are then seen in a nightclub where a fight breaks out after a tray of drinks is knocked over, and they make a run for it before being stopped by a burly security guard. Rida briefly shows up to drop his bars, is seen in a billboard on a beach next to a luxury car with two scantily dressed clad women perched inside in a sunny American city.
