Havana Brown kidnaps man in "Better Not Said"

After serving us a proper dance anthem with "Whatever We Want" back in March, Australian recording artist, producer and deejay Havana Brown is back to the music scene with new banger, "Better Not Said." The 'trap meets EDM' track is the first taste of new material from her upcoming yet-to-be-named sophomore album, which is due out later this year via Island and Universal Records.
Driven by a clap-heavy trap beat and sharp melodic synth work, "Better Not Said" sees the Aussie export DJ diving deeper into the EDM world with another killer banger that includes quite the explosive dance drop, but has that same vibe Brown's breakout hit "We Run The Night" had. The 29-year-old pop star described the song in an interview with the DailyTelegraph (AUS) as a mix of two genres - trapdoor and EDM. "Mixing the two together is really fun" she said. "It's got a bit of trap with more of a hip hop sound but I still love my EDM drops."
It instantly scoops you up, brings you to the highest point possible, and as soon as you reach that peak the drops brings you right down to get your rage on. "A lot of things are better not said," Brown told The Daily Telegraph about the song's meaning: "It is when you can keep control of a situation, from relationships to the bedroom to work. It is everything. Sometimes things are better on your own, doing it yourself." Better not mess with Brown ever, because if you do her wrong she'll kidnap you and hand you to the Chinese mafia which is the plot for her new video for "Better Not Said."

"It’s about getting what you want from your man, and if he can't deliver that, then I'll do it on my own, you know. So the video clip is loosely based on the idea that a guy hasn't been able to fulfil my needs, so I'm handing him over and I'm trading him off to an Asian gang for cash. It's a little bit rough, and a bit of fun - I loved playing that character," Brown explained. The clip shows Brown riding a high-end car with a man, presumably her boyfriend, tied and locked in the trunk. After making a few stops to execute a fast-pace sexy choreography with a few girlfriends, Brown will arrive to her destination which is meeting a few members of a Chinese mafia to hand the man.

Australian dance music diva Havana Brown takes over the screen in her new official music video for her next single "Spread A Little Love," the third official, fourth international and final single taken from teh 28-year-old Aussie singer-songwriter, model, producer and DJ's five-song debut EP "When the Lights Go Out," which fuses shimmering dance floor ecstasy with stadium-size pop flare more seamlessly than any of her peers, available in stores now.
Brown has her own compilation series in Australia, "Crave" and last year released her debut album, "When The Lights Go Out." She has previously collaborated with Pitbull and has had two No.1 on the U.S Hot Dance Club Songs chart with "We Run The Night," and "Big Banana." She's also supported Chris Brown, Pussycat Dolls and Rihanna on tour. Brown has effectively bridged the gap between the club world and the mass market because she came up in the dance world. She's gone from spinning the hot spots to straight up running them as a triple threat DJ, singer, and performer.
Brown has that real commercial appeal and I think she could be a huge global star. "Spread A Little Love," is a powerful, summer dance anthem and it could be the track which could get her more exposure in the UK. The RedOne-produced inspiring, upbeat and generic dance-pop number probably won't be stuck in my head for days like her previous hits where, but I'm sure the typical cookie-cutter RedOne production will penetrate the fragile minds of some pop-music enthusiasts and the song as a whole; vocals, lyrics, and beat, it's all decent, and will find some love in their iPods, that's for sure.
The video features the beautiful Aussie lady mesmerizing the camera as she sings the inspiring "Spread A Little Love" looking straight to it, while wearing a sexy, and cleavege-y red dress. Her scenes are intertwined with the actual storyline of the music video, which follows a young girl who is carrying diverse objects, and materials to a location in order to create a heart-shaped sign and "get well soon" message for his little brother, who is really ill, to see over his window in his hospital room. Brown serves pure glamour shots throughout the visual and it all comes together quite nicely towards the end.

Havana Brown Debuts "We Run The Night"

Australian DJ, Havana Brown always planned on being a singer, has just dropped a new video for the remix of her sizzling debut club-pop single, "We Run The Night," featuring a guest vocal appearance by rapper Pitbull. The original version was a huge hit when it was released last year. Now the remixed track is repeating history, having already reached the number one place on the Hot Dance Club Songs Chart in the US. The pair back up their claim by owning the dance club in the new video.
The quite catchy autotune is an ultra-ferocious club banger built around a universally appealing hook, and it saves this femme fatale from what would otherwise be a disastrous release. "We Run The Night" is as epic as it is euphoric, with an insanely infectious breakdown that's guaranteed to throw the crowd into overdrive, and the track is the perfect introduction to the talents and tastes of Brown. The dance-club beat, the lyrics, the flashing lights, and of course the brilliance of Pitbull, combine together producing one club-ready "must have."
"It's created for both the clubs and the radio," Brown reveals. "That was really important for me and it was very difficult to pull off. As for the track, it's about how music makes me feel." Brown says her vast experience as a DJ playing other people's tunes has also had a huge impact on how she approaches her own. After working the club circuit for three years, Brown became the first female DJ in Australia to sign a major label record deal with Universal Music in 2008, released her first mix CD, "Crave," and topped the year off opening for the Pussycat Dolls on their promo tour.
Directed by Benn Jae with Tony Prescott and shot in Miami, the video begins at a private party where young people, elegantly dressed, are moving in time with the music. The beat begins, the music starts, and with Pitbull introducing the song, all the excitement commences. Brown now begins to do what she does best: she sings, she moves, she looks into your soul. It is no wonder that dance floors overflow when these two team up. Together they exude pizzazz. The clip shows off this special excitement as these two world class DJs do their stuff. Brown even shows off her mixer-desk skills sliding the controls while singing.
