Havana Brown kidnaps man in "Better Not Said"

After serving us a proper dance anthem with "Whatever We Want" back in March, Australian recording artist, producer and deejay Havana Brown is back to the music scene with new banger, "Better Not Said." The 'trap meets EDM' track is the first taste of new material from her upcoming yet-to-be-named sophomore album, which is due out later this year via Island and Universal Records.
Driven by a clap-heavy trap beat and sharp melodic synth work, "Better Not Said" sees the Aussie export DJ diving deeper into the EDM world with another killer banger that includes quite the explosive dance drop, but has that same vibe Brown's breakout hit "We Run The Night" had. The 29-year-old pop star described the song in an interview with the DailyTelegraph (AUS) as a mix of two genres - trapdoor and EDM. "Mixing the two together is really fun" she said. "It's got a bit of trap with more of a hip hop sound but I still love my EDM drops."
It instantly scoops you up, brings you to the highest point possible, and as soon as you reach that peak the drops brings you right down to get your rage on. "A lot of things are better not said," Brown told The Daily Telegraph about the song's meaning: "It is when you can keep control of a situation, from relationships to the bedroom to work. It is everything. Sometimes things are better on your own, doing it yourself." Better not mess with Brown ever, because if you do her wrong she'll kidnap you and hand you to the Chinese mafia which is the plot for her new video for "Better Not Said."

"It’s about getting what you want from your man, and if he can't deliver that, then I'll do it on my own, you know. So the video clip is loosely based on the idea that a guy hasn't been able to fulfil my needs, so I'm handing him over and I'm trading him off to an Asian gang for cash. It's a little bit rough, and a bit of fun - I loved playing that character," Brown explained. The clip shows Brown riding a high-end car with a man, presumably her boyfriend, tied and locked in the trunk. After making a few stops to execute a fast-pace sexy choreography with a few girlfriends, Brown will arrive to her destination which is meeting a few members of a Chinese mafia to hand the man.

Avicii unveiled lesbian-themed "Addicted to You"

Anybody can give flowers and chocolate, Avicii's gift this Valentine's Day is much more unique. Just in time for February 14, the Swedish hitmaker has released the official music video exclusive on Us Weekly for his new single, "Addicted to You," the fourth single off of Swedish producer and deejay's debut hit album "True," which reached number two in the UK and five in the US upon its release back in September. Like a movie trailer, the video is packed with nudity, gun violence and romance between two women.
The 24-year-old Avicii wrote this song with the 71-year-old songwriter Mac Davis, who is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame thanks to his Elvis Presley compositions, which include "In The Ghetto" and "A Little Less Conversation." Davis lent a timeless story to the song, comparing his unconditional love for a girl to a drug addiction. It's a storyline that has permeated many hits, including '80s classics by Robert Palmer and Huey Lewis & the News. Davis said that he wrote this song the way he always does: sitting for hours with his guitar on his lap. He said in Rolling Stone that Avicii is like "a mad scientist, with his computer and his focus," adding, "I may be an old fart, but I love EDM."
The song, which features uncredited vocals by the Adele-esque American folk singer Audra Mae from Oklahoma, is a foot-stomping anthem about passionate, obsessive love and Avicii's sexy, action-packed video reflects that. Conceived and directed by Sebastian Ringler and filmed over six days in December and January, taking winter as the backdrop, the clip plays like a movie trailer for a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired period piece, but with the crime life of two girls as the trouble-making lovebirds. Armed with both guns and sex appeal, the femme fatales wreak havoc all over the country to a soulful, synth melody.
The video begins with a waitress, played by Swedish actress Madeleine Martin, waiting for her partner, played by fellow Swedish actress Hedda Stiernstedt, to give the cue. The couple then robbed the diner, and at night time, they intend to steal the cash stored in the vault of a bank. The girls are about to nail the mission until the police comes in. A sniper shoots down one of the girls. The surviving lover holds her girlfriend until she bleeds out to her death. In a shocking ending, the brunette puts a bomb in her bag, runs towards the police and makes it explode killing everyone in the scene, including her. Revenge was served!

Paris Hilton parties with Lil Wayne in 'Good time'

Summer's not quite over yet, because Paris Hilton has just invited you to her EDM-heavy pool party. The 32-year-old hotel heiress, queen of the nightclub circuit and recent Cash Money signee, makes her return to the music world with the release of her new single "Good Time," featuring her Cash Money label-mate Lil Wayne and produced by DJ Afrojack. The song's an EDM-pulsing rave riot, with the video finding Hilton donning a sequenced bathing suit, partying with super soakers and posing with male models in speedos. And she's quite unapologetic about it all.
"Good Time" is expected to serve as the lead single to appear on Hilton's upcoming, untitled sophomore studio album, due in early 2014 and marks Hilton's return to music after a seven-year hiatus. The new set, Hilton described as "very eclectic" and also heavily produced by Afrojack, features collaborations with RedOne, Snoop Dogg and Flo Rida. "I'm working with so many talented and awesome people for my album and can't wait to share more of the music," Hilton tells Rolling Stone. "For me this song is so catchy and fun the way it moves from pop to a true dance number."
As Hilton's Cash Money debut, the track has the hotel heiress celebrating a night out, is entirely electronic, with amped-up synths, hand claps and plenty of Auto Tune, and abides by party rocking, flipping off the haters and, of course, having a good time. "I came here just to party/Don't you hate on me," Hilton sings in the sugary hook. "I might be a bit tipsy/It's OK cause you're with me." Wayne, bare chested and donning oversized red sunglasses, makes a grand Weezy-like entrance, with a long guest verse that boasts: "YMCMB, bitch/Paris doesn't speak French."
The smoldering video for song was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, and shot in Los Angeles back in July 23. It features Hilton flaunting her figure and gyrating poolside, fist-pumps some glowsticks and poses luxuriously, in a barely-there bikini and cooing suggestively over a juiced-up dance and turnt-up beats as she throws an epic pool-party bash, complete with glow sticks, bottles and a 10-foot-tall robot, otherwise known as Kryoman. "The video is so sexy and so much fun, I really wanted it to be colorful and full of life and my friend Kryoman flew out to be in it and he just makes the video so much fun like spraying all the CO2 canisters," Hilton recently told MTV News.

NERVO help a girl "Hold On" to her lost loved one

NERVO have recently released a chilling music video for their high energy vocal single, "Hold On," the third single taken from Australian Sister DJ duo's debut studio album that’s scheduled for release by the end of the year. It changes the vibe completely from what we used to expect from NERVO. Their vocals here are more intimate.
The tune is a huge representation of the kind of pop EDM that’s bound to be getting love in the near future. If you thought EDM was already pop/mainstream, you've not seen anything yet. The song is very electrifying and the cinematography visuals are very reflective of the lyrics. If only NERVO was around to give dad some champagne while we were moving into a new house. A pretty girl, some makeup and a ghost, the "Hold On" clip paints a rather haunting atmosphere for the track and it's quite fitting. In the video, a woman laments on the loss of her loved one in a tragic accident while going through physical objects that make her remember him. It's easily their best visual work.

will.i.am uses #ThatPOWER for Justin Bieber

Will.i.am got a little help from Justin Bieber's hologram in the just-released sci-fi spectacular and spacey video for their collaborative new dance cut, "#thatPOWER," the third single from Will's upcoming fourth much-delayed solo album, "#willpower," which is slated to drop on Tuesday. The new video, predictably is gaining a lot of traction in the hours after its arrival online, features a hologram of the 19-year-old teen heartthrob looking swaggy while singing the song's hook.
The uptempo, club-geared track is dance-club oriented. Along with the headliner's compulsively body-moving electro-pop boardwork and guilty-pleasure lyricism, #thatPOWER boasts a soaring hook and sweet vocals to the chorus from teenage pop superstar. The track tries to follow the style in the footsteps of many Will.i.am singles before with its thumping club beat, dirty synths, A-list cameo and lots of lyrical swagger about overcoming adversity. "It's not dance, it's like synchronized movement," Will said. A song repetitive and tiresome, with a sound mix of autotune and electronic music, very blunt. A first listen leaves you a little cold, but after several repetitions, is winning.
You'll be as surprised as we are to see some serious choreography going on in this one and not from whom you'd expect! Ghostly, Bieber merely makes his appearance as a hologram , so it's Will himself werking his moves all over cities across the globe, with the help of some clones! As he explains: "This video is probably the most time-consuming video that I've ever been a part of because I had to rehearse choreography, and I've always been against choreography for me. We have this real, next-level, futuristic type of choreography… It's not dance, it's like synchronized movement. I'm really excited about it."
The promo doesn't have much of a story line but is all about setups that are meant to please the eye thanks to appearances from Will. it takes a futuristic twist that Bieber's cameo relies heavily on his hologram and a ghost-like image projected on to various TV screens, while the Black Eyed Peas frontman, wearing a black hat and sunglasses, getting funky in various sci-fi locales with a futuristic sports car and a posse of lookalikes who match his every robotic move with a myriad of dancers, skip across the earth with an army of clones around with six look-alikes in Japan.

Nervo have premiered the music video for their banger of a new synth-heavy dance record, "You're Gonna Love Again," the follow-up to Aussie twin's debut Astralwerks single "We're All No One." The feel-good/uplifting soon-to-be summer anthem co-written with Avicii, is a song about letting go of hurt and loving again. It is housetastic rife with poppy, big room-styled melodys, and you'll definitely want to turn this one up and thump it out so the bass shakes your soul.
Nervo, maybe they'd be better identified as Mim and Liv, those two ridiculously gorgeous blonde Australian twin duo, who went on the "Femme Fatale" tour with Britney Spears and released that sick single "We're All No One," featuring AfroJack and Steve Aoki. They've also already penned pop hits for Ke$ha, David Guetta, Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Scherzinger, Kylie Minogue, Kelly Rowland and the Pussycat Dolls.
The soulful sisters get a party started with sick beats, sexy style and endless energy with their electronic dance music. Like what you see? The single which was the No.4 break out track this week on Billboard's Hot Dance Club play chart was released last month after premiering on Pete Tong's BBC radio show.
The video centers around an epic party, and follows a young couple falling in and out of love as well as featuring some impressive levitating in other scenes. It begins by introducing us to a couple who look like they're on the worst end of a breakup. They eventually find their way back to each other, and as a testament to their everlasting love, they decide to jump off a building together. Luckily, this is a magical dance party, and as the couple falls off the building, the partiers catch the falling couple and turn the whole situation into a ridiculously chic mosh pit.

Nicki Minaj Throws a Beach Party In "Starships"

Flaunting her curvacious figure on the sandy Hawaiian beaches with Bikini-clad and sporting neon green hair, Nicki Minaj dances on the beach in her newly-released video for her craven cheeseball dance-rap single "Starships," the lead single from New York rapper's sophomore studio album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded." Yes, starships were meant to fly, and rap's reigning queen was clearly meant to throw raving beach parties. If fans thought "Super Bass" was a colorful video, this one takes it above and beyond.
"Starships" is a multi-genre song, which heavily utilizes '90s-influenced Eurodance, Europop, and Euro house, while also incorporating other genres such as pop, dance, reggae, pop rock, and hip hop. The lighthearted, feel-good vibe of the song is perfect for casual Barbz to blast. It's hard not to see Britney Spears' influence on the rapper/singer when listening to the song, and given that the two toured together last year, Minaj may be trying to remind her pop fans that she has an ear for what they want.
Regarding this cut, the 29-year-old colorful Minaj explained that RedOne sent her a beat, which she was so taken with that she went to the studio and improvised the first verse, "mumbling and just saying the first thing that came into my head, and we recorded it, because I just felt like, let's go to the beach... let's go get away. It was just so good. It feels good!" The song not only is pure pop perfection, but RedOne's influence is evident, and it's the most polarizing single in Minaj's career to date.
The clip was directed by Anthony Mandler and was a 3-day shoot in Hawaii. It starts with a massive UFO-like craft - presumably a starship - hovering over the ocean and then Minaj materializes in the water. The hip-hop diva prances about in a skimpy bikini on the tropical shores of Hawaii with plumes of colored smoke floating through the air and hulking male dancers with tribal markings grooving on the beach. There are people getting splashed with neon paint, flame-twirlers, hula dancers, and, goodness, there is so much more going on in this clip.

Selena Gomez Debuts 2nd "Hit the Lights" Video

Selena Gomez loves her song "Hit The Lights" so much that she decided to make a second video for it. The 19-year-old unleashed the original music video last November and now has a new 'nighttime' version of it to a group of lucky fans at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. It's a great way for Gomez to get the song back out there in time to become a fun summer anthem.
The single is taken from Gomez's third studio album "When the Sun Goes Down," with The Scene. Musically, "Hit the Lights" is an up-tempo dance song. Lyrically, the song speaks about living in the moment and taking risks. Gomez told Billboard magazine: "It was actually the first song I recorded and it was really fun and I feel like everyone can relate to that song. It's kind of one of those songs about living in the moment while keeping it a big huge summer dance track. That one was really fun and kind of dance poppy."
The new clip features Gomez leading a troupe of people and take on the night life, hitting the city and clubs for a street flashlight party, and that pile of pink balloons is in this version too because there weren't enough balloons on the first go around. She explained the meaning of both the song and the clip is having fun, and throwing caution to the wind. "The song is that missed opportunity. Shot in a moody black and white, the singing/whistling star croons to the camera as she takes a long trip from her home and out into the city. The camera follows the "Bass Down Low" singer as she hides a corpse in a trash bag and tries to get rid of it. Dev drags the "package" around the town before loading it in a stolen car, and drives away to a secluded place to bury it for good. The mystery baggage, which is ripped open in a surprise reveal at the end of the video.
