Calvin Harris debuts "Open Wide" feat. Big Sean

With a week to go until Calvin Harris' star-studded fourth studio album "Motion" hits, the 30-year-old Scottish superstar DJ has shared a action-packed new video for his Big Sean-assisted new single "Open Wide," minutes after premiering the audio on New York City-based radio station Hot 97. Along with the refurbished tune comes the explosive video, featuring a gun shootout in the middle of a desert with Harris and Sean right in the middle of it.
More and more dance music producers have been venturing into hip-hop territory, and Harris has done so with "Open Wide," a tune that may sound very familiar to one of his current releases. "Open Wide," is not a new beat from Harris who previously used the same drop and a similar build up on a solo record called "C.U.B.A," Harris' instrumental Beatport No.1 hit, released back in June. Harris took advantage of the incredible success he achieved with "C.U.B.A.," and reworked it into a hip-hop masterpiece.
The big difference between the two songs is the Detroit rapper, who makes another foray into the world of EDM and adds in two energetic and suitable verses that laid on top of the house-meets-trap beat. "Open that shit wide, let me see how big your mouth is," raps Sean over Harris' signature production, adding, "This goes out to...You know who this goes out to." The U.K. hitmaker's new track "Wide Open," is a pretty generic sounding track, but it'll fit right into main stage festival sets.
As for the Emil Nava-directed cinematic clip, it's clearly a high-budget endeavor, featuring high speed racing, guns and pair up two gangs war showdown in the desert with Harris and Sean right in the middle of it that pops off right as the beat drops. As two opposing sides blast shot after shot at each other, all while a ballerina is gracefully dancing in between all of the sheer fuckery, inexplicably moving around while dodging bullets with the dexterity of Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix." It's aesthetically pleasing, but a bit confusing.

Alesso And Tove Lo Are "Heroes (We Could Be)"

As he preps to release his debut artist album, Alesso gives us the opportunity to channel our inner comic book hero with new music video for his new track, "Heroes (We Could Be)," featuring vocals from rising Swedish singer Tove Lo. The 23-year-old Grammy-nominated, chart-topping Swedish DJ and the 26-year-old red-hot newcomer Lo are set to wreak serious chart damage with their soaring club anthem, "Heroes (We Could Be)," and Lo's beautiful vocals provide the backdrop for what is another fantastic track from the young Swedish DJ.
Taking about the message behind the lyrics, Alesso said "I believe that the best experiences in life are the ones you share with others. We wanted to write around that topic, when you feel a special bond with someone and can drop everything else to just be yourself together with that person. And especially to encourage one another, to push yourselves forward an appreciate each other's." The song's lyrics are taken from "Heroes" (1977) by David Bowie and the David Bowie-interpolating floorfiller made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 this week and is already shooting up iTunes. All it needed was a killer video and the Swedish DJ and the EDM superstar delivered the superhero-themed clip with a special effects-filled extravaganza, where the stunning Lo is a fallen angel, joined by a diverse array of cast-mates, who all portray superhuman powers while being held hostage in an asylum-type facility. In contrast to the radio-friendly track, the video is dark and ends melancholically (fitting for the Halloween season).
Starring the "Habits" hitmaker as a fallen/captured angel, the X-Men referencing visual centers around a bunch of young children who are interned in an underground research lab for their supernatural abilities. Happily, the super suave DJ makes a cameo appearance as the one who comes to their rescue and frees them, breaks Lo out before she literally lets him down. The storyline for the video is the perfect compliment to the powerful vocals of Lo, as well as the emotional instrumental. The ending was quite shocker though!

Tiësto's lost in lonely space in 'Light Years Away'

The Dutch DJ/producer Tiësto just recently unveiled a visually stunning music video for his new single, "Light Years Away," featuring American minimal techno DJ DBX, off of Tiësto's newest studio album, "A Town Called Paradise," which was released in June. Not only is the song beautiful, but the futuristic video is absolutely mesmerizing which showcasing a distant galaxy being explored by a team in search of organic life.
It's been a big year for the Dutch superstar producer, who continues to find success in anyway possible. He's been able to consistently find ways to break his EDM influences in to pop-culture with seamless execution. "Light Years Away" continues the Dutchman's crusade of emotionally charged crossover dance music, with the whispery sounds of DBX's vocals to a pop-influenced EDM blended track. The accompanying video reflects the interstellar imagery of the track's title. Slick effects and colorful imagery serve as a fitting visual for the track's big hooks and addictive melody.
Set in a strange and unknown universe, the clip focuses on the life of a young lady living on a very distant lonely planet with the help of her robot assistant, as she examines her surroundings and searches for other forms of life. She is seen conducting research and using advanced technology to look for any signs of organic life on the bizarre planet she inhabits. She is clearly unhappy with where she lives, as is made evident from both scenes and lyrics "I don't know where I'm meant to belong/ I'm lost in space."
A robot loyally helps her with her research and takes care of her when she gets injured. At the end, she comes to realize the love the robot has for her and together they melt into a strange electronic screen where they dance and the woman finally finds happiness. The beat and tune both work well with the futuristic-like video and the story is interesting enough. It ends on a particularly compelling note with space and electronics combining.

Benny Benassi's back for "Let This Last Forever"

The dance music icon Benny Benassi returns with a beautiful visual for his new summer jam "Let This Last Forever" performed by Gary Go. The music video is a synchronized swimming dream and is bound to stimulate every man's senses with an erotic dose of synchronized swimming. You're probably at the end of a long, exhausting week. Well, skip the espresso machine Monday morning, enjoy the video and get ready for a full dose of electro house induced energy, and let this last forever.
Benassi pools talents with British singer Gary Go, who lends his vocals once again. Their new upbeat collab, a more relaxing tune, beams summertime vibes. The single will be included on the Italian producer's upcoming album, due out later this year via Ultra Music. It's a shimmery, uplifting dance song that's a perfect segue between afternoon day drinking and late night partying. "Let This Last Forever" boasts Benassi's beloved signature sound. Coupled with Gary Go's inspiring, summertime lyrics, some acoustic strumming and a soaring melody, this is sure to please dance fans across the globe.
If you aren't familiar with the world of synchronized swimming, the Aqualillies are who you call. Remember the Nicki Minaj pool scene in the Justin Bieber "Beauty And A Beat" video? That was the Aqualillies synchronized swimming behind them. They are usually a part of a production, but in the video for "Let This Last Forever," director Bryan Schlam makes them the center of attention, focusing the entire video on some of the Aqualillies performing in a pretty amazing looking house overlooking Los Angeles.
The clip depicts graceful water ballet and sensual pool frolicking on a hot and sun-drenched afternoon that features the Aqualillies, a way glamorous synchronized swimming troupe, and alternates between mesmerizing, kaleidoscopic shots of the ladies doing formations in neon, floral print bikinis and swimming around au naturel. Schlam plays that up in the video with plenty of strategically placed shots and lingering slow motion. It's simply stunning, and in this case, might as well keep your head underwater. The Chainsmokers want to be living like "Kanye"

The Chainsmokers, the NYC-based DJ and production duo of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall skyrocketed into the music scene earlier this year with the infuriatingly catchy "Selfie," a track that splices the filter-obsessed voices of selfie-takers over bouncy dance synths. A gazillion or so YouTube streams later, the pair are back and released 'Maid in Manhattan'-style video for their hard to classify, meme-able follow-up single, "Kanye," and it's a cinematic experience somewhere between Maid in Manhattan and Cinderella.

The song, which features vocalist SirenXX, is all about how you can be exactly however you dream of being. Just like Kanye, but the message of the song doesn't reference West's oft-controversial rants. Instead, it draws from West's best quality: His complete and utter originality. Overall, "Kanye," throws a hugely positive vibe of self-empowerment and living life on one's own terms, something The Chainsmokers say was important to them to convey with their latest project. "We look at the word 'Kanye' as an adjective," Pall explained via email. "The song is about what it means to be like Kanye. It's about just owning it no matter what you're doing."

"Whether you're on top of the world partying in a penthouse or you're driving an old car playing your favorite song, it's about enjoying the moment you're in and feeling like you're the king," Pall added. "'Kanye' is a special video for us in that it represents the ideal that every person should live their life the way they want to," the duo said. "Like Yeezy, do what you believe and makes you happy and be confident regardless of what anyone else thinks. "We hope the video conveys just that, the message of self-assurance and living out life on your own terms... and of course the story, our story, starts where #Selfie left off."

The sequel to their iconic "#Selfie” video, directed by Ike Love Jones, is surprisingly down-to-earth. It starts in a hotel room where a chambermaid is scrubbing the floors outside of the bathroom where you can hear the conversation of two girls from "Selfie." Quickly, the maid realizes she doesn't want to scrub the floor - she wants to be like Kanye, and she helps herself to put it on the Selfie girls' fancy clothes and furs, and is soon out on the town with the other socialites for one night only live the life of glamorous girl and enjoy the perks of the good life. After she's spent some time drinking champagne and wearing a tiara, the maid realizes the lifestyle isn't for her and makes her way back to her job at the hotel and go back to her house.

Steve Angello released "Wasted Love" ft. Dougy

Steve Angello released his new video for a killer new track "Wasted Love" to his many eager fans in Times Square on the Sony jumbo-tron Monday, posing for pictures with his loyal fans, and handing out T-shirts customized "Wild Youth" T-shirts in anticipation of Angello's upcoming album due this fall via Columbia Records. The 31-year-old dance music innovator and globally acclaimed producer/DJ needs no introduction when it comes to pushing creativity beyond limits and made no exception for the premiere of the "Wasted Love" video taking it as big as it can get - the center of New York.
"Wasted Love" is his the first release from "Wild Youth," and this love ballad finds Angello linking up with the anthemic Australian band The Temper Trap's frontman Dougy Mandagi and adding guitars and strings to his usual EDM mix. The pair originally met in LA in late 2012. "We just wanted to have a song where our worlds collided a little bit, something that speaks to all of us, so I wanted to create something that was different but also honored The Temper Trap style," Angello told Rolling Stone. "I also wanted to find a great balance between dance and indie, and I kind of held back a lot just to create that moment where it's about the melodies and the songs."
"Wasted Love" takes you on an emotional roller coaster that leaves you in awe. Dougy's powerful voice and delivery of the lyrics and Angello's control of the energy in the melody and beat of "Wasted Love" build us up to a drop that rocks you to your very core. "It's always really interesting to see something really un-traditional happen," the former Swedish House Mafia member explained to MTV News this fantasy land is not a dream, but the video game of life. "We got a lot of initial pitches from different directors and we tried to find something that's very visual and different that ties together with my art direction of the album."
The new video, directed by Lance Drake, is a cinematic experience that seems to fall somewhere between a dream and an alternate reality, features an iconic cameo from Angello and an epic performance from Dougy. In the clip, we step into a vast "desert landscape meets art installation" world where we observe a video game of life being played. Viewers move from level to level during the song, experiencing the many stages of life, each obstacle represents birth, death, struggle, love, until the game is over.

Eric Prydz taking you under ocean in "Liberate"

With announcement of his Epic 3.0 show at Madison Square Garden later this year still reverberating around the tri-state area, Eric Prydz wastes no time in releasing another piece of media to satisfy his always hungry fans. His recent single "Liberate" now gets a summer-ready music video treatment, taking you under the ocean and into the depths of rolling waves. A summer anthem, that was handpicked by BBC radio 1's Zane Lowe as his "Hottest Record In The World," needs a video that suits the euphoric mood, and now the Swedish producer has delivered just that.
One of the kings of house music, the 37-year-old Swede has an enviable knack for writing anthems, and he might just have done it again with this one. Following the classic Prydz sound, "Liberate." has those punchy and clear drums, some encompassing vocals, and an awesome drop that house fans will love. His big room sound, yet distinctive and emotional to the ear, is something unique in the EDM world.
Whenever you lose faith in the progressive house scene, you need to just look towards Prydz for that new beauty. His latest single, "Liberate," has a brilliant sentiment to it: it's emotional, it has a throwback '80s flair to it, but it still works in today's scene. It's bigger than "big drops" or whatever you're looking for, but the emo ravers in the crowd who might shed a tear can get close to this one, trust. We figure you'll be rewinding this one for a bit... soak it all in.
The track comes to life through an underwater video, which spends much of its predominantly time submerged beneath the water as two friends frolic and swim underwater along Jervis Bay on Australia's east coast (where Prydz toured for the first time this year), and the track itself from Prydz has summer hit written all over it. It's guaranteed to make you yearn for a summer vacation. Fans who witnessed Prydz's set at Ultra Music Festival in March will remember the galvanizing effect of "Liberate," and it's been a feature of his sets ever since.

Cascada sings living life to the fullest in "Blink"

After the huge disappointment that was the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest for them, German-British dance music act Cascada and her lead vocalist Natalie Horler are back and ready to burn the dancefloor again with a new single from what is hopefully a new album. The EDM-ready "Blink" was released on iTunes on March 28th via Zooland Records alongside the same day premiere of the music video. This is the first single from the band since the release of its fourth compilation album "The Best of Cascada," a year ago.

The track is a cover of the original song recorded by English dance-pop duo U.V.U.K. and released in 2012. However due to the song not being commercially successful, it was therefore given to Cascada for release a few years later. The new version was produced by DJ Manuel "Manian" Reuter and Yann "Yanou" Peifer, who managed the dance project since its inception, and it's confirmed as the lead single taken from the upcoming fifth studio album, planned to be released this summer.

As always, Cascada brings the party, glamour, and heavy bass beats. With the premier of "Blink," that trend continues. The infectious backing track makes for another dance-floor staple. This dance song is in tru Cascada style, features slick beats, massive dance and juiced up production, your regular dose of up-lifting lyrics, and, of course, Horler's infectious charm and powerhouse vocals. The lyrics are fairly simple, and the message is relatable: there are some moments in life that are so nice yet so sudden that they can be gone in the blink of an eye. So living every second of your life to the fullest, and 'to the fullest' means that you don't even have time to blink! Live, live, live it up!

The video starts off with Horler singing to the screen in numerous positions mainly using lots of hand gestures. The scene eventually goes with Horler inside a box like small area where she swings around slowing whilst singing the song. During the chorus, Horler is pulling off her famous moves and hand gestures whilst over dancers break-dance behind a futuristic wall reminiscent to the Pyromania video. Throughout the song, Horler is seen to be lying on the ground, in the box area, in the futuristic area dancing with other dancers whilst singing. Zedd runs away from scary crows in "Find You"

After a long wait, and snippets of teasing clips, Grammy award winner Zedd has finally released a music video for the official extended mix of his new progressive hit "Find You," which features vocals by Carly Rae Jepsen's boyfriend Matthew Koma and up-and-coming Swedish singer Miriam Bryant, dropped back in January. The song's been re-surfacing frequently, over the past couple of months, as acoustic mixes and independent remixes. It's kind of the perfect mix of dance music video meets pop love story. And the colors of course are just wonderful.
This EDM song finds Zedd linking again with "Clarity" co-writer Koma, who provided vocals on another track, "Spectrum." This time Koma shares the singing duties with Swedish vocal powerhouse, Byrant, whom Zedd first heard on German radio. They previously worked together when the German DJ made a remix of her song "Push Play" for the deluxe edition of his debut studio album "Clarity." Speaking on Vice's Thump channel, Zedd said this is a very different tune from any that he'd done before. He added: "It's a song you could easily play with a full band instead of just a DJ."
Zedd debuted a 15-second snippet of this song during the January 26, 2014 Grammy's music awards show. He performed the entire song live for the first time with Koma and Bryant during the episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on February 3rd. The song can be heard during Bud Light Platinum's "Turn Up Your Night" campaign, which aired for the first time during the 2014 Super Bowl. The song also featured on the soundtrack of the futuristic action-adventure film "Divergent." It's a massive hit and major dance floor bomb in one.
As for the music video, it's so high-budget and features a beautiful storyline as well as breathtaking shots of the three artists. Opening scene sees a girl dramatically getting her head out of the water in a bathtub. Bryant, Koma and Zedd will have scenes, the last two playing the guitar and the turntables, respectively, against white backdrops. The girl from the first scene and a friend will then try to save their life riding and running away from a flock of scary crows who are chasing them. How will it all end? Click 'play' below!

Calvin Harris, Alesso & Hurts are 'Under Control'

The massive trifecta of Scottish deejay Calvin Harris, fellow Swedish DJ Alesso and British synthpop duo Hurts' frontman Theo Hutchcraft have teamed up and unveiled the official music video for their collaborative huge progressive anthem, "Under Control," which will be released on November 24. The video is colorful, vivid, and entertaining. The trio lark about as the apocalypse draws near, and it answers anyone wondering what these guys would do if the world was ending.

The track was originally premiered at Alesso's set in Ibiza at the beginning of August, which was broadcast live on BBC Radio 1. Alesso originally revealed the collaboration back in May, tweeting that the song is "sounding big." The track is a true Euro club banger, with a relentless 90s house beat and rave synths forming the foundation beneath Hutchcraft's trademark melodramatic vocals, while while Harris and Alesso deliver a masterpiece of musical production, with epic builds that climax into a burst of synergistic energy.
The banging EDM adventure "Under Control" has that perfect medium that isn't too chill, but still makes you bounce as you listen. As is normally the case with EDM anthems, they get even better when paired with a good video. You can find all three guys featured in the 'end of the world' style music video as they head into the big city for one last show before the meteor to destroy Earth hits. And of course, they pick up a couple ladies along the way to help them party the right way during their final hours on Earth.
Shot in Los Angeles, and featuring phenomenal vocals from Hutchcraft, the accompanying music video depicts a meteor coming to Earth and all three artists looking moody, pissing about and performing live in the face of the oncoming apocalypse as we see the trio brace themselves for a meteor strike by playing a gig in a limo with girls they picked up on the side of the road to mark the end of the world.  After a few tense seconds, we're treated to a happy twist ending perfect for the uplifting tune.

Avicii finds love at a roller rink in "You Make Me"

Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer Avicii premieres the official music video for his upcoming smash, "You Make Me," the second single from the 24-year-old DJ's debut studio album, "True," which is out now in the UK and today in the US through PRMD Music/Universal Island. Underpinned by a driving electronic beat, this bold and bright anthem is more of a traditional House music track than the Swedish EDM artist's previous chart-topping worldwide hit, "Wake Me Up," which blended Country and Dance elements.
The song features a vocal from Salem Al Fakir, the Swedish Soul-Pop singer who sang on Avicii 's 2012 dance tune "Silhouettes." Al Fakir is best known in his home country for his Top 3 hit "Keep On Walking," which was runner up in the 2010 Melodifestivalen final, the Swedish national selection for that year's Eurovision Song Contest. The song is catchy, and has the words 'commercial success' and 'club smasher' written all over it. The beat is a tad generic, but it's exciting, though. The auto-tune applied to Al Fakir's vocals in the choruses in the electro-pop song is also kind of nice, in the sense it goes well with the atmosphere created.
As for the "You Make Me" music video, a hospitality industry romance turns into a full-blown love story that features Pairs love and rollerskates and ends with a twist, tells the story of tragic love triangle, with a battle for love taking place in a roller-skating club. Avicii isn’t known for big budget video extravaganzas but that's about to change with his new "You Make Me" visual. Imagine Saturday Night Fever on roller skates with some cheesy Kung Fu moves thrown in for good measure to get some idea of what's in store for you. It's a cute concept and completely ridiculous but extremely well-executed and lots of fun.
In his new video for "You Make Me," Avicii hits a New York rollerrink for a showdown of slick dance moves and fierce fighting. The story follows high-rolling Henry as he fixates on the object of his desire Mercedes, a waitress serving up drinks. Henry hits the floor to strut his stuff and Mercedes is impressed – too impressed for her jealous ex-boyfriend Chang's liking. Chang and his cronies storm the floor for a fight, and the rink becomes a ring as the opposing crews battle it out. Will Henry win out and the good times resume?  It's an age-old question of love, sound-tracked to Avicii's poppy new single.

Avicii takes on the country in "Wake Me Up"

The disk jockey Tim Bergling, aka Avicii partners with Ralph Lauren for an All-American adventure in the new clip in support of his latest single, "Wake Me Up" the lead single off Swedish DJ and producer's upcoming folk-inspired debut studio album, "#TRUE," arrive in September 17. The track is a different take on the DJ's usual pounding electronic tunes, featuring a soulful vocal performance from Aloe Blacc and guitar riffs from Incubus' Mike Einziger. The two lost souls find themselves through music in "Wake Me Up" video which mixes the then and the now, is like the song itself, which features folky, lived-in vocals and of-the-minute beatsmithing.
Pick-up trucks and horses might not be the first images that come to mind when you think of Avicii. The 23-year-old Swedish progressive house superstar is more associated with massive outdoor festival stages than a country road. Avicii made the choice with "Wake Me Up" to step out of his EDM comfort zone and produce something noticeably different from his other cuts, as the DJ describing it a "complete change in style," features bluegrass-inspired guitar riffs coupled with Avicii's trademark sweeping house music chords to dive headfirst into uptempo folk.

"Wake Me Up" has scored the fastest selling single of 2013 so far, is a collaboration track with glam-pop artist Adam Lambert and musician Nile Rodgers. The disco song, which he has previously played at various music festivals in recent weeks, is a feel-good tune that showcases the "American Idol" alum's powerful vocals. As chart-friendly EDM continues to reach the furthest corners of the globe, staying ahead of the pack can prove a tricky task, especially when more and more acts arrive on the scene turning out mixes with identikit build-ups, tired lyrics and uninspired breakdowns that newcomers to the arena lap up with excitement.
The arguably Oz-esque narrative-driven video, directed by renowned fashion and celebrity photographer Mark Seliger, is an escapist fantasy in multiple ways. It feature two sisters, a little girl and a young lady who ventures out and finds a way out of a boring, hostile past into a party-laden big city and they celebrate finding their rightful place, they join a rave party similar to Avicii's massive outdoor festival performances. As she arrives on a horse, she comes into hordes of other soul-searching folks bearing the same Avicii logo as hers and her younger sibling, whom the big sister goes back for and fetches, having found the place where they belong.

Lune Wants To "Leave the World Behind"

Swedish singer Lune unveiled the music video for her haunting reinterpretation of Swedish House Mafia's 2009 hit song, "Leave The World Behind," starring Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. In addition to featuring Lune in the updated version, Volvo Cars will also have a starring role in the music video, as the automobile company uses "Leave the World Behind" as the theme for their upcoming advertising campaign for the new Volvo XC60.
Lune is a music project fronted by Linnéa Martinsson, who has collaborated with various electronic acts. Rooted in the dance and performance world she started young, writing simple songs with two chords and simple, direct lyrics about art, fighting, sport, love and sex. "Leave the World Behind," features her moving, soulful rendition of  the trio's earlier hit. This one, opposite to the original, is totally stripped down to one of the most moving pieces of music you were to hear.
"Lune is not a regular house act but when I heard it I immediately knew that it was a project that I wanted to get involved in” says Ingrosso, “It’s a project that one shouldn't try to influence too much - it really has it's own unique qualities that shouldn’t be tampered with“," he continues. So very deep and so very pensive, it's lyrics make you want to let go of a fast paced, stressful life and move on to an easier, calmer and more remote one, just like the trio in the video. The video does what Lune's facebook page had been proclaiming over the last few days. Delivering the sound from the Balearic Isles to the Norwegian fjords is a feat Lune achieves perfectly.

The highly teased and anticipated new video compliments the entire mood of the song perfectly and we see a glimpse at a simpler life, away from the bright lights and booming bass. Directed by Adam Berg, it’s beautifully made on ideal locations and trio's home ground in Scandinavia, and its setting theme seems to imply that boys from Swedish House Mafia quite literally left the world behind and returned to their roots and a simpler life. The cinematography is absolutely touching as each and every frame helps you picturise the exact emotion of with which this version was created. The end is even more haunting with Ingrosso playing a beautiful yet eerie tune on an old grand piano and Axwell clanking his metal cup while sailing on a boat. The huge house classic fits the chilling yet serene video. Take a look at it yourself, it'll definitely make you want to leave the world behind you.

Zedd took us on an emotive journey in "Clarity"

Anton Zaslavski, known primarily by his stage name Zedd premiered a new music video for the acclaimed tune, "Clarity," which heavily features vocalist form Foxes (UK-bred Louisa Rose Allen) in an on-screen love affair. The song is the title track for Russian-German electronic dance music producer and DJ's debut studio album. "Clarity" has hit No.1 on the iTunes Dance Chart, and had the biggest first week for a dance artist's album in the last 10 years.
After producing smash-hit remixes for the artists like Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas and Skrillex, 23-year-old Zedd is ready to spin it to the next level. His debut album, "Clarity," is the one of the most intriguing and successful dance albums of the year, offering a wide range of electronic-musical styles, the album is a fully realized statement from an artist whose sound is far more mature than his 23 years would suggest. With roots as an electronic dance DJ and producer, Zedd has recently expanded his reach and drawn from dubstep, complextro and progressive-house traditions to create his own uniquely entrancing sound.
The title track, is more mainstream pop with a dance edge. With the song's energy and sentimental lyrics the experience is captivating and leaves viewers entrapped, which was the Germany's EDM sensation's idea all along. With silky smooth piano notes and Foxes' powerful vocals are especially impressively sweet, and become the main highlight of this electro house track. With deep lyrics this is a mellow track that displays a different and even more creative side to the producer/songwriter. The video plays a lot to the hectic separation and being back together that is described in the song, but isn't too chaotic to follow.
The Jodeb-directed video works as a visual into an electronic and ties together perfectly with the track. The video jumps from gorgeous scenery to intergalactic designs, and crashing visuals that are intoxicatingly stunning. The emotive journey the video took us on was two lovers torn apart by distance and difficulty and want so badly to be together but something just keeps them apart. It featuring a love story with the main character chasing after his beauty until they finally end up together. Zedd takes a background role and Foxes plays the role of the heartbroken female in the video, while her lover pursues her through cities, mountains, and deserts.

Avicii vs. Nicky Romero I "I Could Be The One"

Swedish and Dutch sensations, Avicii and Nicky Romero have been two musicians that have glamored the masses and taken dance music by storm. The duo have teamed up yet again to bring us a incredible hilarious music video for their hot new remixed track, "I Could Be The One (original as 'Nicktim')." The duo have decided to take that record to the next level by adding a beautiful vocal from Swedish pop singer Noonie Bao over the already stunning house beat.

Dance music isn't always for everyone, but everyone can relate to getting frustrated. Pairing Avicii's infectious melodic talents with Romero's big, high-energy sound, the result is a electro/progressive house anthem from two of EDM’s fastest rising stars. This is one video that I can honestly give a raving review. And if you cannot afford to let loose, enjoy watching this vivacious character live life to the fullest and laugh. The clip is epic to say the least and the ending is brilliant! It makes the song utterly relatable and downright amusing.
"What are we doing with our lives?" In life, sometimes you just have to break out of the every day and do something fun. The featured character is an average female who has her standard job, her standard routine, and her standard irritations with life. She puts up with the stress and hum-drum of life. She's dejected and uninspired, making adjustments to consistently accommodate the life she clearly isn't happy living. A dream sequence offers her an escape, where she suddenly is surrounded by beautiful men, luxurious getaway locations, and an appreciation for her self-image that she never knew existed. It is this flash of adventure and happiness that prompt her to have higher expectations of her environment, and not care.
Now, it sounds like it could be a decent video, but until you witness the character initially and watch her explode with rage and excitement, you realize her excess lifestyle post-realization is humorous beyond words. She eats what she wants whenever she wants, dates who she wants whenever she wants, and lastly, tells off her co-workers, who certainly did not give her the respect she should have received. I personally appreciated the fact that this dance song was able to have such a profound meaning and elaborate plot line. Suddenly, music that people often find hard to relate to becomes applicable to almost anyone.

Krewella living life to the fullest in "Alive" video

Chicago EDM group Krewella has been around for the better part of half a decade, which means they have plenty of friends in the business. That comes in handy, it turns out, when putting together a 8-track remix EP, "Play Harder," the band's first EP, topped Beatport, dance music's biggest retailer, out December 10. The Electronic dance music group have let loose a brand new official music video for their hit single "Alive," one of the many soon-to-be-banger-tracks with a few remixes off of their EP.
"A lot of the remixers are friends that we know personally and reached out to," the electro trio composed of Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf and Kris "Rain Man" Trindl said in an email to The Huffington Post. "We are blessed to know so many talented producers." Calling in friends and confidants is a smart move for Krewella, who embrace a certain DIY approach to music and the consumption of it. "We're going to keep putting our music out for free, but if we sell certain records, we encourage our fans to grab our music in any way possible," the group wrote before adding, "*cough cough zippyshare.*"
Krewella's EP contains a wide range of EDM styles including dubstep, electro & progressive house, drumstep, and moombahton. And perhaps that makes their success even sweeter. "Alive," is a huge melodic electro house banger, and an track full of rebellion and living life to the fullest. I don't think there's any doubt 2013 will begin with an enormous Krewella takeover.  Moving quicker through the EDM ranks than two hot girls can drag their guy friend to the front row of a show, their rise to success has been impressive.
The Brian Schlam directed-video takes place in a run down desert which leads to breaking stuff, partying, and burning a stuffed panda bears, depicts three band members and co. causing a ruckus in post-apocalyptic barren lands. This clip for "Alive" is all about that teenage fantasy of having a dilapidated Instagram-y crash pad in the desert, where you and your friends can spraypaint, make out, and burn stuff. Yasmine and Jahan's vocals are on point, and we're also not complaining about the sexy "rocker meets leather biker at the apocalypse" look they've glammed up for the clip.

Calvin Harris Gets "Drinking From the Bottle"

The infectious, heart pounding, club sounds of Calvin Harris returns and teams up with Tinie Tempah unveiled a unique, eye catching, hectic and controversial video for their radio-friendly collaboration, "Drinking From the Bottle," the sixth song from Harris's latest third studio "18 Months," available in stores now. The 28-year-old Scottish DJ tries to show us a different side of Hollywood in his new video.
The dance track, where Harris writes about life's excesses through his lyrics, finds Harris linking up with the English rapper, who declaring he's being "busy for the next top model / Who's wearing something new and something old / And something borrowed / I know this crazy life can be a bitter pill to swallow / So forget about tomorrow / Tonight, we're drinking from the bottle."
Directed by Vincent Haycock and AG Rojas, Harris and Tempah take us on an emotional roller-coaster through Hollywood in the visuals, and its plot centers around, you guessed it, The Devil, who wanders around Los Angeles, observing people and engaging in all possible vices, including booze, drugs and even cannibalism throughout what ends up turning into a monologue inclusive short film.
Take a tour of Hollywood's sleazy side with the devil himself, the fantastic clip opens up with two fellas on the street having an interesting conversation about Joan of Arc before it breaks into the track. As the video progresses, we see a man dressed as the devil going through his daily routine of intriguing activities. Meanwhile Tempah is somewhere dark, surrounded by thick, beautiful women who are shaking their assets to the track. Aside from it's main character, themes of sex, drugs and alcohol are at the forefront, causing some fans to question what they just watched.

"When Love Takes Over" Features Kelly Rowland

Producer, hit-maker and worldwide ambassador of club culture David Guetta has premiered the video for his new single "When Love Takes Over" featuring main vocals by American R&B singer Kelly Rowland on Yahoo! Music. With three chart-topping albums to date, "When Love Takes Over" is the first single from French DJ's latest fourth studio album, "One Love," released on August 25 by Astralwerks.
Guetta is a name synonymous with the world's greatest house and dance music, and has sold over 2 million albums worldwide and over 3.2 million singles since 1992. Rowland demonstrates that she has the classic diva vocal pipes to be a major star and that "When Love Takes Over" is just the push she needs. Fusing classic dance beats with a heady, emotionally-charged vocal, it's a world away from the midtempo R&B numbers with which she started her solo career. With its exhilarating pop melody and uplifting, powerful beats supporting a ringing vocal performance of impeccable clarity and rousing emotion by Rowland, "When Love Takes Over" became a No.1 smash, topping charts in 10 European countries, as well as top on U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs charts, and is slowly crawling up the Hot 100, mainly due to heavy-airplay at radio-stations. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category for Best Dance Recording for the 52nd Grammy Awards.
The ex-Destiny's Child Rowland met Guetta while attending one of his shows in Southern France during the summer of 2008. She later met up with him and asked him to show her one of his tracks and what he showed her was a "pop number built around a lush piano loop and throbbing percussion" which was the early works of "When Love Takes Over". The beat moved Rowland to tears. "I felt so much emotion from the track; something happened the first time I heard it, and it was just beautiful", she said. Guetta, meanwhile, is banking on the single to garner a stronger stateside following. The piano part is noted for being similar to that of "Clocks" by Coldplay. "The track with Kelly has made me experiment with a more American urban influence", Guetta says. "Musically, it's opened a new world for me. It's pure pop with a lot of detail, and Kelly had this Whitney Houston vibe and nailed it."
The beach party themed video which was shot at Venice Beach, CA on May 19 is the latest video by ground-breaking director Jonas Akerlund, who perfectly captured the essence of the track. In the clip you can see Rowland walking alone down a road, and singing on the beach as the sun is setting. Guetta is seen pushing his DJ equipment around town until they meet at a party. "They share that love and share it with the other people to make that big party", said Guetta. In the end Rowland and Guetta meet up and finish the song at the party.
