Robin Thicke Pine Over Ex in Sad "Get Her Back"

Robin Thicke released a truly depressing video about his breakup with his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton, from whom he became separated in February. The R&B singer looks like he's in a lot of pain, battered, bloodied and bruised, inside and out, physically and emotionally, in the newly released video for his current love ballad, "Get Her Back," much of the reaction was to the imagery of the clip, which suggests a violent fight between the couple, over Thicke's plea for a reconciliation. The "Blurred Lines" singer met Patton when he was just 14 and they became high school sweethearts.
This heartfelt pleading ballad, "Get Her Back", the lead single from his upcoming seventh album, "Paula," due out next week, appears to be a plea and making his strongest appeal yet to reconcile with his estranged wife, as we find Thicke trying to convince Patton to forgive him for not showing more appreciation for her and his desire to get back with her. Lyrically, the protagonist expresses regret and sadness over his part in a failed relationship and and how he is willing to reconcile and make amends with his lover: "I should've kissed you longer/ I should've held you stronger/ All I wanna do is make it right/ I gotta get her, go get her back."
Thicke needs a hug. Interspersed throughout the highly personal clip, directed by three-time Grammy Award-winner Jonas Åkerlund, are graphics in the form and shows a series of uncomfortably personal text messages seemingly exchanged between the 37-year-old singer and his wife of eight years. "I kept trying to warn you you were pushing me too far..." the text messages read at the beginning of the video. Other texts shown include "You drink too much" and "You embarrassed me."
In the mostly black-and-white video, a shirtless and disheveled singer croons his love-lost plea directly and sensually into the camera, plaintively singing such lyrics as "I gotta treat her right, I gotta cherish her for life," while the clip often cuts away to a sultry brunette woman who resembles Patton, but barely shares any scenes with Thicke as he grasps his wedding ring while singing "I gotta get her back, get her back, get her back." Thicke appears with a black eye and bloody nose, which could be a metaphorical symbol of his broken heart. The video ends with a text message promising, "This is just the beginning."

DJ Cassidy dancing party for "Calling All Hearts"

At any given point during a night at the club, you'll only find a fraction of the clientele actually dancing, while the rest order drinks and chat in the periphery. Cassidy's vibrant new video for his feel good upbeat party anthem, "Calling All Hearts" is a disco inspired Dance hit with some R&B flavor and is about to be a R&B dance party! The exuberant retro song pays tribute to the golden era of Club music, and like the rest of Cassidy's upcoming debut LP "Paradise Royale," due in May, it honors the disco era of late '70s and early '80s by purposely avoiding modern studio techniques like sampling and recycling established material. "Four years ago, I set out on a mission to bring the greatest and most universal dance music of all time back to the airwaves, back to nightlife, back to the dance floor," Cassidy told Rolling Stone.
The X-directed video was shot in London and is equally epic affair, which begins and ends with a storyline that features Cassidy and a girlfriend. Initially she leaves him after forcing him to make a difficult decision, but after Cassidy enters a hat store and gets a complimentary hat, she changes her tune and they reunite. The celebrity DJ gets dumped by his girl in the black-and-white intro before he's whisked away to a pink soundstage after buying a magical hat. It's like 'The Wizard Of Oz' with a disco soundtrack!
Aiding in dancing away Cassidy's pain are pals Jessie J and Thicke, not to mention a 13-piece band in preppy sweaters jamming on a 52 square-foot flamingo-pink lacquer heart-shaped "Paradise Royal" stage, surrounded by flamboyant pink flamingos and palm trees, while Cassidy rocks the CDJ's in a lime green tuxedo jacket and his signature 1920's boater hat. The jubilant song bounds along on a pop-funk-disco euphoria, despite all the hangdog mugging that opened the video. Robin Thicke parties with showgirls in 'Feel good'

Robin Thicke looking dapper and trots out the glitz, glamour and chorus showgirls in the brand new video to his piano-fueled flashy "Feel Good," the third single from his 2013 smash LP "Blurred Lines," nabbing his first No.1 on the Billboard 200. The "Feel Good" video is all about showgirls. And gambling. And dealing with a pretty bad hangover. It actually looks like a pretty entertaining show! From the mega-success of "Blurred Lines" to his three Grammy nominations, the 36-year-old Canadian R&B crooner has every reason to "Feel Good."
The Will.i.am-produced EDM-tinged single is an odd mix of blue-eyed soul and club-ready synth-pop, which might explain the kooky visual. It finds Thicke interrogating his lover asking her if she'd still love him whatever he does. Thicke told VH1: "I actually got to sneak in some of my problems on this one. It talks about if I party too much, or if I'm not perfect, or if I'm depressed, will you still stand by me, will you help me get through those times or will you leave me?" The new clip shows Thicke in a tuxedo at a sparkly piano; he's later joined by a troupe of female dancers, but they remained fully clothed. It definitely not risqué and surely won't get banned at this time.
"Blurred Lines" star shows off Liberace swag in celebratory clip which opened with Thicke in formal wear in an unbuttoned shirt and loose bow-tie as he sniffed a sparkling red rose. And Thicke was next shown at a large black Baldwin piano tickling the keys on a stage as puffy clouds glowed behind him. Eight dancers had their hair pulled back, dressed in long-sleeved leotards and wearing ballerina shoes joined him onstage danced in synch in a line behind Thicke. The scenery switched to a casino where Thicke sang at the edge of a roulette table as the dancers in their long-sleeved leotards looked on.
Capturing a vibe somewhere between Broadway and an over-the-top Las Vegas show, the clip finds Thicke doing the ol' song-and-dance routine amid a cadre of high-kicking chorus girls, grooving atop a rooftop and winning big at the roulette table. While all the boozing and carousing leaves Thicke writhing in a drunken, perhaps broken-hearted daze midway through the clip, our valiant hero somehow finds the will to crack a smile, pop a few more bottles of champagne and bust out a not-half-bad Carlton groove. Robin Thicke plays football field in "Give It 2 U"

Fresh off his much talked-about MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus on Sunday, Robin Thicke puts on the referee stripes (in the form of a tight-cut suit) for his new gridiron-themed video for "Give It 2 U," the second single from Thicke's new sixth studio album, "Blurred Lines." The 36-year-old R&B singer told Radio.com about the song which featuring vocals from rappers 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, "It's very exciting," he said. "It's very Michael Jackson, Prince but also pretty hip-hop. It's a big, shiny pop record. It's fun."
In order to stay on top of the news cycle, Thicke is back and hoping to capitalize on the same success, controversy, and parody that accompanies "Blurred Lines." His new not-so-subtly song, "Give It 2 U," is made for twirling the final nights of summer away. The synth-infused half-spoken/half-falsetto track features a bass line that's eerily similar to that G6 track from three summer's ago, but we're not pointing any fingers. Remaining true to his aesthetic, Thicke entertains us with hot girls once again. But, the song happens to be pretty awesome too.
Thicke added that rather than write about his own life as he has done in the past, he decided to focus on just having fun on "Blurred Lines." "I've written so many songs about my insecurities, my fears, my failures, my relationship problems, my personal issues, my issues with God and the universe," he said. "I've written about everything. I think that's why this album I was like, 'I don't want to write about myself anymore. I just want to write stuff that makes people feel good.' This is the most fun, feel-good music I've ever made."
Set on a college football field in Los Angeles and directed by Diana Martel, the twerk-heavy, dance-crazed video features a cotton candy mascot, a plenty of twerkin' dancer teams from Albany and Alabama State, cheerleaders in football jerseys and dance uniforms all while riding around on parade floats with pompoms shimmy around Thicke. Chainz also makes an appearance, delivering his verse in front of a giant monument helpfully labeled "Ass Float" onscreen; Lamar raps while riding around in the back of a toy truck. The video also features a scene where an actress strokes Thicke's cheek with a foam finger, echoing Cyrus' antics with the same kind of prop at the VMAs.
