Nina Nesbitt has dropped "Way In The World"

She first piqued our interest earlier this year with her single "Stay Out" and now folk's newest darling Nina Nesbitt takes us on a trip to the seaside and in the music video for her beachy "Way In The World," the infectious lead and tilte track from Scottish singer and songwriter Nesbitt's next fifth EP, due out July 22nd through Island Records, as well as the next single and third taken from her upcoming untitled debut studio album that's scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group. It's a slice of summer with the acoustic feel and funtime video. Be warned though you may hop in the car and make your way to the seaside before you even realize it's raining outside!
It's been a fantastic start to the year for Nesbitt, the half Scottish, half Swedish singer-songwriter, who is still only 18. She started her music career by writing and recording songs in her bedroom and uploading the videos to her YouTube channel and her rise has been remarkable. After going back to basics and all emosh on her last piano-ed track, Nesbitt is back with a summery slice of acoustic pop about finding yourself and all that malarky. And it makes us wanna go to the seaside, have a go in the 2p machines and eat a massive stick of rock with 'Sugarscape' running through the middle of it.
Written by herself, "Way in the World," is the perfect follow up to "Stay Out" with its whip-smart lyrics and catchy chorus. It has a lighter, more summery vibe than its predecessor, and both were co-produced with Jake Gosling and Iain Archer. "Way In The World" takes another step forward in lyrical prowess with the delivery bounding with unmatched skip. Despite the acoustic guitar being Nesbitt's weapon of choice since the beginning, "Way In The World" is her tentative first step into the world of folk and, as you can expect, it's an impressive dance. Nesbitt is on the rise and "Way In The World" is the track to bring her all the way up.
That's pretty much what happens in the video too, actually. Dan Henshaw delivers this carefree and charming promo for "Way In The World," shot in Worthing on the English south coast. The director manages to capture a rare sunny day in Blighty, follows Nesbitt and her friends as they lark about under Worthing's decaying iconic pier, on the beach at twilight and around a campfire. Kina Grannis | "The One You Say Goodnight To"

Acoustic pop artist Kina Grannis reveals her latest music video for her current single, "The One You Say Goodnight To," from the re-release of her 2010 debut album "Stairwells." The track was recently reviewed as "sweetly hooky" in a recent Entertainment Weekly feature, promising to leave you "humming this song for the rest of the day." As usual, Grannis's signature charm, beauty, humble, fun and elegance shine through in this sweet, infectious video, which finds she playing an adult version of hide-and-seek with her potential love.
Grannis soared to fame via YouTube. She entered and won a singing contest for Doritos which lead to her being featured in a commercial during the Superbowl, and received a Interscope Records contract in 2008. The Youtube chanteuse is a very relatable young spirit, who's charmed her way to nearly 60 million pageviews with songs like "Valentine" and "World In Front Of Me." The 25-year-old makes sweetly sung, acoustic tunes. "The One You Say Goodnight To" is the follow-up single to "Valentine," which has also amassed nearly 9-million views on Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter's YouTube Channel.
After kicking off the lilting, acoustic track with her band in a bucolic field, Grannis retreats to begin the metaphorical dance with an Abercrombie model dressed as a dork. Anyway, Grannis gets sold out by her bandmate and begins a cat-and-mouse courtship game, forcing our Clark Kent look-alike to make exasperated faces and run around a bevvy of picturesque spots Norman Rockwell would have painted. You can probably guess how this one ends, but it does teach a valuable and eternal lesson about courtship: The harder it is to attain, the more guys want it.
Now, Grannis proves she's more than just "that Doritos girl" in her newest video, featuring her friends Chester See, Keith Tutt II and Derek Rock. All she needs is a smile, a guitar, and a soothing voice to effectively captivate the hearts and minds of thousands of fans all over the world. The love song is a catchy song with a good beat and melody. It offers a storyline where Chester See, a handsome fella as the dude who keeps missing her, and desperately seeks out Grannis in the country side woods, as she sings and plays her guitar. It's a beautifully shot video incorporating the environment to enhance the feel of the song.

Colbie Caillat Says 'I Do' With Airy California Vibe

Colbie Caillat premiered the music video for "I Do", the official lead single from the California singer's upcoming third full length, "All of You," which is slated for release on May 3. The upbeat cheery tune, was released on February 7, and it hit No.1 on iTunes store its first day. The Grammy Award-winning pop singer said "I Do" is supposed to be sort of a joke but it is hard to explain and it is about marriage.
Caillat is one of the few in the business that really radiates genuine character that is only concerned with being who she is. She hasn't been one to push new genre envelopes or try to innovate in a completely new way. Instead, she remains true to herself and this works fantastically. Caillat's music has always had a soft, supple flow and "I Do" is no exception. The three-minute track plunging in cold feet and all. Caillat develops a smart and uncomplicated acoustic sound in the upbeat, happy sunny-day song, which was written by Caillat and Toby Gad and has infectious, finger snapping beat that dances around the hallowed marital vow – all the way to an unexpectedly sweet, teasing finally. Background vocal lines weave across auxiliary percussion beats as Caillat's lead lines carry the tune through three breathless minutes, with only the briefest of pauses.
The acoustic arrangement, the shuffling beat, and the vocals floating along like they are propelled on a gentle ocean breeze are unmistakable trademarks of a Caillat song. If there is a modern California sound, songs like "Bubbly" and "Falling For You" would fit that mold, and "I Do" is a welcome addition to the genre. "I Do" continues this tradition with the protagonist contemplating spending the rest of her life with the one she loves. While a lot of songs that have to do with marriage end up being ballads, "I Do" captures the joy of realizing that you are with the person you want to spend your life with, and boasts a massive hook that will embed itself into your brain.
Caillat smiles head to toe about relationships and taking them to the next level because they are fun, spontaneous, loving and tender in her latest video "I Do." Love the energy and visual warmth from director Ethan Lader in Caillat's fuzzy feel good "I Do." Now she does what Malibu California girls do best - smile, giggle, flirt and enjoy the lightness and mystery of life that comes from being in love in "I Do" video. Lader does a stunning job of bringing this feeling to romantic light in the video, which begins with a lazy warm wake up call that we have all experienced - happy and excited to be alive. As Caillat plays guitar and sees real intimacy between an eye-grabbing black and white coupling of two facial close-ups spending timeless time in bed. It all adds up to give you "I Do."

Poema Premiered A Catchy Rhythm Single "2 AM"

The sibling acoustic pop duo Poema are out with the video to their new catchy rhythm single "2 AM," a lead song off their debut EP "Sing It Now," in stores and online now on Tooth & Nail Records. Two teenage sisters from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Elle and Shealeen write and perform their acoustic/pop songs that range from serious to silly, from being in love to changing the world. They love serving up these melodic slices of life to a broad audience. "2 AM" replays the events and insecurities of a night's date, worrying if the guy is still interested.
Although they didn't necessarily know how it would play out in their future plans, music has always played a key role in their lives, who've discovered that songwriting is a pretty great vehicle for saying exactly what's on their minds. Elle is the bands captivating lead vocalist and acoustic guitar player. She sings and plays with dynamic that is stunning for a girl of just 17. 19-year-old Shealeen sweetens the music with her tasteful harmonies, classical piano playing, and subtle lead vocals.
Unlike many siblings who spar and fight at the drop of the hat, Shealeen and Elle's don't use their songs to vent their frustration against each other. They aren't the Gallagher brothers from Oasis, after all. Instead, the lilting melodies and memorable harmonies they've created only underscore the beauty of collaboration. The girls have many musical influences. Some of their favorite artists include Switchfoot, Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, Jack Johnson, Phil Wickham, Paramore, John Mayer, Johnny Cash, and Eisley.
"We really loved music, but we never thought there was a future career in it," Shealeen says. "But that particular show was such a turning point. We'd played a couple of original songs, nothing that really seemed all that special to us, but the audience really responded. After a standing ovation, half of the people actually came up to talk to us after the show. Later, they asked us if we were trying to 'make it' as professional musicians. And we were like 'No.'" Describing their sound as "happy, acoustic-pop," the girls felt that "Poema" was the perfect name for the group. "We really wanted our name to be one word, something that would really define us."
Poema has been a band for just over a year and already the sisters have poured their hear and soul into their debut EP, which has a happy vibe to it, also managing to be upbeat as well as acoustic. From the very start, there are absolutely no pretensions that this is a "ballad-y slow pop project." "2 AM" leads off the record with a long night gone awry and boy problem lyrics laid on top of the album's most aggressively catchy music, only challenged by "City Boy." Usually getting lost in some sort of mid-paced sway, the acoustic guitar and piano do perfectly accompany both girls voices and provide a foundation for what you could ultimately call adult contemporary pop/rock.
