Kellie Pickler | "Someone Somewhere Tonight"

In between foxtrots, rumbas, sambas and waltzes, the country singer and former American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler has found time to record and release new music. While enjoying her recent "Dancing With the Stars" victory, Pickler has released a new video for her pining ballad, "Someone Somewhere Tonight," the lead-off single from her upcoming fourth studio album, "The Woman I Am," which she promises will be "Kellie Country," due out November 12th. Hopefully, she'll still pull her dancing shoes on from time to time, since she's obviously gifted at both singing and dancing.
The track, finds Pickler singing about the power of love and redemption, was previously recorded by Kenny Rogers on his 2006 album "Water & Bridges" and Pam Tillis on her 2007 album, "RhineStoned," though neither version was a single. The song's lyrics contemplate what different things people in the world are experiencing at the same time, contrasting between good and bad scenarios (such as someone tasting their first kiss versus someone suffering with alcoholism). It is performed from the perspective of a narrator singing to their significant other, and requesting in the chorus that they just lie down together and be still.
The poetic lyrics are lovingly performed over a burning, emotive melody with Pickler showcasing why she's such an engaging vocalist, the kind of vocalist who was born to sing songs like "Someone Somewhere Tonight," a widescreen power ballad with the kind of lyrics. The 27-year-olf country music artist's performance is just short of the magical tear-jerking performance one feels coming from the first note, but still amongst the best and most genuine of her career. It's refreshing to hear her sing from a place of love as opposed to a place of pain as she did early in her career with ballads like "I Wonder."
The Roman White-directed video reunited Pickler with her Dancing With the Stars partner Derek Hough as we see the pair dancing a choreographed routine to the song around an empty house. It was incredibly intimate and overtly sensual, with lots of gorgeous natural light and suggestive dancing, but according to Pickler recalled to Rolling Stone, that the real reason the ballad's video seemed so personal actually had to do with another video playing in the background - her wedding video.

Kellie Pickler debut 'Makin' Me Fall in Love Again'

With a charming personality and an ear for some catchy tunes, Kellie Pickler has managed to move from American Idol runner-up to gold-selling recording artist on country radio for 19/BNA Records. Her three previous singles from her self-titled sophomore album have all managed to get inside the Top 20 with her 'duet' with BFF and tour partner Taylor Swift and now she's following it up with song that really recalls something that Pickler's idol Dolly Parton might have recorded. The blonde beauty's fourth single "Makin' Me Fall in Love Again," is about finding true love. Pickler choses a 1940s era theme to bring "Makin' Me Fall in Love Again" to life. Pickler has visited the Persian Gulf and other locations in support of the military.
"Makin' Me Fall in Love Again" is an up-tempo song, featuring a production with prominent electric guitar. The song's female narrator describes being in love and despite being told that it will fade, she finds the love rejuvenating every moment she spends with him, as if he's "makin' [her] fall in love again" each time. In an interview with The Boot, Pickler felt the song was a reflection of her current relationship. Pickler looks at her latest single as a blessing, because it was one that came in under the radar and was close to being too late to make her album. "This was the last song that we recorded for the album," she explains. "It just barely made it. We were ready to send it off to be mastered and to get it ready to be packaged for the shelves, but ["Makin' Me Fall in Love Again"] just made it barely. I was actually surprised how it did make it on there. I'm glad it did... It completed the record."
The music video, which was directed by Roman White, was filmed in Los Angeles in April, and premiered on GAC on May 14, and May 17 on CMT. In the video, Pickler is shown surrounded by members of the USO, and performing in various outfits that resemble fashions of the 1940s. The video's concept was chosen by Pickler, because she felt the 1940s celebrated the female figure: "I don't feel there was a pressure to be skinny and so deathly looking as what the pressure is now. The women were more 'womanly'-looking. They had curves. They had beautiful fair skin. It was just more natural."
Written by James Slater, Karyn Rochelle and Shane Stevens, "Makin' Me Fall In Love Again" has a catchy melody, a vocal that finds Pickler completely invested in the lyrics she's singing, as if she truly is falling in love over and over with her man. It's a song that anyone in a great relationship will relate to while it also is the kind of relationship people really want to find themselves in. Perfect for the lighter, feel-good summer radio playlists, the song has the potential to be Pickler's biggest hit to date and it could really give her some great traction at both radio and sales.

Kellie Pickler Debuted "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You"

The new music video for Kellie Pickler's latest single "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You" directed by Roman White, debuted on CMT on September 11. The song is the third single from 23-year-old country artist's self-titled second album, written by Chris Lindsey, Aimee Mayo, and Troy Verges, and was released in August. It is a power ballad, backed primarily by piano and electric guitar. The female narrator describes the feeling of losing the one she loves, and how she can't believe the reality that he's really gone.
The song was originally featured as a track on Pickler's debut album, "Small Town Girl." It was later re-recorded and included on Kellie Pickler, from which it was released as a single at Pickler's request: "I love 'Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You!' I was gonna put it on every album until it was released as a single. I guess they figure this might finally shut me up."
The most powerful songs are often born from exposing a simple truth that is the root of a given emotion; they are born when their writers break through the barrier of convolution that stands between what we know how to say and what we feel, when clouded and distorted context makes way for raw essentiality. There is no more essential post break-up question than Pickler's "Didn’t you know how much I loved you". It's a great hook, and great enough that we're not going to remember how average the rest of the song is, only the tremendous power of those words.
Kellie Pickler is turned out to be one of American Idol's most successful contestants. She turns 'American Idol' fame into country music career. The video was shot on a beautiful beach in the Dominican Republic. It begins with Pickler sitting on a bed, before making her way outside to a balcony. She is then shown standing among ruins, and then walking along the beach. Kellie’s video ranks No.2 on on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown.

Kellie Pickler | "Best Days Of Your Life" (Video)

Kellie Pickler (born June 28, 1986 in North Carolina) finished in 6th place on the 5th season of American Idol in 2006. "Best Days of Your Life" is the 2nd single off her sophomore self-titled album, and co-written by Taylor Swift. It was released on December 1, 2008, and has now become her 1st Top 10 hit and her most successful hit.
The song is an up-tempo country pop mostly backed by electric guitar, played by Taylor Swift. It tells about a former boyfriend who cheated on her and is going to get married and build a family with the lover. Although, she wishes them to be happy and have a nice life, she says that he's already had the best days of his life with her, and the new partner can never top it.

The music video was shot last month in Nashville, and is directed by Roman White. It was released on March 25 to members of Pickler's official fanclub, and then to CMT today. In the video, Pickler goes out to the movies with her friends for her birthday and sees her boyfriend cheating on her, so she leaves. Later on, her ex gets married to the girlfriend, but he is completely unhappy with his new life and has many flashbacks of him and Pickler. One day while he and his wife are walking, she reveals that she is pregnant; he runs across the street and tries to make it up to Pickler, but he is hit by a bus and put in the hospital. Later, Pickler visits him and signs her name on his body cast and leaves. Throughout this, Pickler is shown singing alongside Taylor Swift with Pickler's ex watching through his television set.
