Cascada sings living life to the fullest in "Blink"

After the huge disappointment that was the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest for them, German-British dance music act Cascada and her lead vocalist Natalie Horler are back and ready to burn the dancefloor again with a new single from what is hopefully a new album. The EDM-ready "Blink" was released on iTunes on March 28th via Zooland Records alongside the same day premiere of the music video. This is the first single from the band since the release of its fourth compilation album "The Best of Cascada," a year ago.

The track is a cover of the original song recorded by English dance-pop duo U.V.U.K. and released in 2012. However due to the song not being commercially successful, it was therefore given to Cascada for release a few years later. The new version was produced by DJ Manuel "Manian" Reuter and Yann "Yanou" Peifer, who managed the dance project since its inception, and it's confirmed as the lead single taken from the upcoming fifth studio album, planned to be released this summer.

As always, Cascada brings the party, glamour, and heavy bass beats. With the premier of "Blink," that trend continues. The infectious backing track makes for another dance-floor staple. This dance song is in tru Cascada style, features slick beats, massive dance and juiced up production, your regular dose of up-lifting lyrics, and, of course, Horler's infectious charm and powerhouse vocals. The lyrics are fairly simple, and the message is relatable: there are some moments in life that are so nice yet so sudden that they can be gone in the blink of an eye. So living every second of your life to the fullest, and 'to the fullest' means that you don't even have time to blink! Live, live, live it up!

The video starts off with Horler singing to the screen in numerous positions mainly using lots of hand gestures. The scene eventually goes with Horler inside a box like small area where she swings around slowing whilst singing the song. During the chorus, Horler is pulling off her famous moves and hand gestures whilst over dancers break-dance behind a futuristic wall reminiscent to the Pyromania video. Throughout the song, Horler is seen to be lying on the ground, in the box area, in the futuristic area dancing with other dancers whilst singing. Amelia Lily having a blast night in "Party Over"

Amelia Lily seems to posses some time-traveling smartphone in her latest full promo for her ravetastic new single "Party Over," the third single from British singe's upcoming debut studio album, "Be a Fighter," which is due to hit the shelves on April 29. Now, she's supporting Girls Aloud on their arena tour while putting the finishing touches on her debut LP, and let's hope the party isn't over with this new release.
Lily isn't a household name here in America yet, but in her native UK, the 18-year-old blonde bombshell is managed to ascend to superstar status with remarkable speed. Since rising to fame on the merits of her gorgeously smoky pipes and irrepressible energy as a finalist on The X Factor in 2011 - she placed third - the teenage chanteuse went on to sign a three-album deal with iconic English hitmakers Xenomania and immediately notched a smash single with her debut track "You Bring Me Joy."
Lyrically is about the ending of a relationship, "Party Over" is a hot EDM tune thanks to its outstanding beat, and Lily's soaring vocals and energy. It's a big fat drum and bass record dipped in the shiny synth-pop of Xenomania. The production is mammoth, but Lily's shouty voice is powerful enough to keep up with it. Her sound is almost Rihanna-like in parts of the verses, somewhere between the aggressive pop-rock of Pink and the frenetic pep of Cher Lloyd, with occasional shades of Kylie Minogue's dreamy disco, but as the tempo speeds up for the chorus with its big beats, Lily's now familiar powerful voice belts out the words and proves that the party is far from over.
Lily goes back and forth in time and having a blast with her buddies in a house party in the video, which was shot in Los Angeles on January 30. Kicking off with Lily dropping her cellphone in a sink full of water while doing make up, and then her phone changing the hours during the night, where she parties hard on a big night out with her mates, featuring drinking games, swimming pool shenanigans, a pillow fight and animal masks. The video ends with she stepping on and breaking her phone. Cue a flashback to the night before and the end of a party. Lily asks whether the party is over, and we have to be honest Lily, that certainly looks the case.

Usher felts like a failure and paralyzed "Numb"

Usher, turns 34 today, gets personal in his brand-new heartfelt music video for his up-tempo dance ballad, "Numb," the fourth single to be lifted from his newest seventh studio album, "Looking 4 Myself." The visual reflects his hardships and looks back on all the loved ones that have passed away. Usher is doing what he does best, dancing, to distract himself from the painful emotion bottled up inside him.
"Numb" is a dance-pop, electro-pop and euro disco song with R&B elements which contains revolutionary pop music influences. Lyrically, the club-oriented production is an inspirational song about finding one's destiny, and becoming numb to the negativity and just following your dreams. The song received generally positive acclaim from contemporary music. Everything is included, from his breakdown when he was booed for walking off stage during a concert in Berlin last year to the passing of his father and stepson, complete with some fancy choreography.
The song finds Usher singing lyrics about forgetting your troubles on the dance floor. It does have the mind-numbing, body-activating effect the song is so explicitly searching for. These are his confessions. Usher explained that the cut, "is about having no fear. Sometimes we take for granted moments that allow us to make it thru, ability to just wake-up every morning&take a breath." Usher added the song, "is what happens when you encounter that wit's end in life, like the only way to move forward is to allow yourself to go numb and go for what you feel."
Directed by Chris Applebaum and Grace Harry, the clip is a fast-paced montage of Usher's life in the near past and features several dramatic scenes of him including taking care of his sons, standing towards a microphone unable to perform and lying towards a woman in a hospital. It begins with a footage of Usher walking offstage during a show part of his OMG Tour in Berlin. From there, the video shows both the glamour of Usher's life, as well as those darker moments as he tries to shake off the pain by channeling his energy into a passionate dance inside a glass cube.  "I felt like a failure, hopeless, paralyzed, numb," Usher shares, and the video ends with he managing to break that glass cube.

Nelly Furtado Shows Her "Spirit Indestructible"

Glory to the human spirit, Nelly Furtado's the scenic visuals to her hypnotizing new track "Spirit Indestructible" has arrived in a magical blaze! It is the second single and title track taken from her forthcoming fifth studio album, "The Spirit Indestructible," a follow-up to her 2009 Spanish language album "Mi Plan," and we cannot wait till her mystical, musical tale of soul-strengh album unleashes its power September!
Furtado explained that the Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins produced song, "is an ode to the spirit, which resides in all of us and triumphs over anything. It is inspired by people I have met, and special moments in history that I have read about. This song means a lot of things to me 'cause it does have a spirituality to it and a positivity," the 33-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter expressed. "It's meant to be empowering, it's mean to be a tribute to all of us. We all have indestructible spirits."
Furtado's spirit soars in the Aaron A-directed picturesque visual, which begins with all eyes on Furtado as she takes the center stage with a spotlight shining directly on her for an intimate performance in a theater with a little boy on a mini piano before the Portuguese-Canadian songstress is magically transported to the top of a beautiful snowy mountain in Vancouver, where the singer twirls around while conjuring up her own unbeatable inner strength and soaks up the stunning surroundings.
Furtado then switches into a sick gold leather jacket and leads a crew of shirtless drummer men to a beach for a spiritual drum circle session and a dance around a bonfire. Furtado ends up back atop the mountain, and the snow has melted away, and just as she stands victorious, she is turned into dust and carried by the wind. The song speaks to Furtado's perseverance, and the nature-set video caters perfectly to the song's overall message of unbreakable strength.

Victoria Justice Brings It In "Make It in America"

How do you make it in America? Well, starring in a hit Nickelodeon show can't hurt! Nickelodeon's Victorious star, Victoria Justice along with the Victorious cast unleashed another music video for their infectious single, "Make It In America." The track, available now on iTunes, is featured on the upcoming series soundtrack "Victorious 2.0," has been featured in 'Tori Goes Platinum,' an one hour special episode of 'Victorious' on Saturday.
"Make It In America" is a country-tinged ditty about Hollywood dreams and showing skin. The 19-year-old Nickelodeon starlet explained, "My mom was on the phone and I had overheard her talking... about someone breaking big and making it in America. That title just kind of stuck with me... that's such a powerful message."
Justice can be seen regularly on the hit Nickelodeon show 'Victorious,' where she plays an aspiring singer, Tori at a performing arts school. Nickelodeon gave her the chance to show the world what she is made of. In Saturday' special episode, Tori wins a contest to sing the opening number at the Platinum Music Awards! "[Fame is] flattering, but what blows me away is the fact that the show airs around the world. That's incredible," Justice has said about the success of her show.
The video for "Make It in America" is pretty light on story, which features Justice driving around in a sun-drenched desert, grabbing some ice cream, before receiving a text message from her friends asking if she'll perform at a party that night, she says yes, and then she stops by to pick up three male friends along the way before heading off to the nighttime party in the desert. Not a bad life.

Carishma Debuts Her First "Glow In The Dark"

Carishma has premiered the debut music video for the track "Glow In The Dark," the first single off of her upcoming debut album. It's 21-year-old up-and-coming American pop chanteuse of Indian descent, Carishma, who's making all the right moves to get into the spotlight! Carishma's no stranger to the spotlight.
Produced by Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, the dance/pop song about the sparks that fly between a boy and a girl, makes quite a statement and sets the stage for some slaying. "Glow In The Dark," mixes old-school Britney bubble gum with a dreamy guitar riff and sexy, hypnotic beat that perfectly matches Carishma's dance goddess-y persona. It's a simple song about having a strong love and passion for somebody. I love the beat, and her voice is sultry. The guitar riffs really go well with the song.
A singer/dancer/actress who starred in the HBO movie "Star of Jaipur" at the age of 9, Carishma complements her smooth-as-silk voice with a glammed-up yet natural look that more than justifies the video's many costume changes. The dance-pop newcomer who recently teamed up with Timbaland on the track "Keep Hangin' On," and is all set to release her debut album soon. Everyone knows that all epic romances are born at middle-of-the-night beach parties where some crazy-eyed, body-paint-streaked dude bangs away at his bongos while the rest of the guests writhe all around him. Or maybe not. Still, sparks are seriously flying in the Taj Stansberry-directed video, begins with Carishma dancing alone on an empty beach and daydreaming about the boy she's crushing on. The video cuts between shots of Carishma and her dude before bringing them together at that bonkers beach party.

Victoria Justice Premieres "You're The Reason"

Victoria Justice has made her brand-new visual grand premiere for her hit song "You're the Reason" on Nickelodeon Saturday, right after the airing of her Nickelodeon show's Christmas special episode of 'Victorious,' with the piece mainly comprised of Justice perched behind a piano.
The 18-year-old budding solo singer is going unplugged and giving us her special unplugged version of "You're the Reason," which is from the Victorious soundtrack. Justice has performed a more uptempo version previously, but this version is a ballad and she says it really let her get more into an emotional level of singing. The Nickelodeon star laid it all on the line as she belted out her song behind a piano.
The video was shot in Zuma Beach and also a place called the Enchanted Forest. The concept of the video is of Justice traveling with her piano. One little tidbit that fans out there should know is that there are "no" guys on this video - although Justice laughingly tells us that guys are cute and all but this video is purely herself. Along with the visual, Justice says her style in the video was so in sync with what she likes - lots of fun fashion and of course her favorite - feathers. When it comes to who she is thinking about and singing this beautiful ballad - Justice tells us that when she performs the song the person who she is dedicating the song to is her mom, sweet!
The new video was directed by none other than Wayne Isham, who has worked with huge stars like Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, and Bon Jovi. Justice is seen looking as lovely as ever in a red dress, sitting at a piano customized with light bulbs in the video, which spies the ravishing red carpet stunner playing piano in a number of outdoor locations that it looks like it'd be hard to get a piano to the beach, a forest clearing. The new video will showcase a version of the same song that appeared on the recent 'Victorious' soundtrack.

Jason DeRülo Is Feeling Blue In "Breathing"

Jason DeRülo has just unleashed a music video to support his latest dance track "Breathing," the third promotional cut taken from his sophomore set "Future History," which he once said, "People talk about the second album pressures all the time, but when you're writing your own material I think the pressures go away." The singer called the album the "greatest accomplishment in my life right now." The "Watcha Say" hitmaker is coping with a heartbreak and he visualizes it in his dark video.
Surprisingly, this video was quite engaging for a Dance/Pop release and thanks to clever vocal production, his voice sounded great. DeRülo once said: "There's a song on album called 'Breathing' where a lot of influences took part: African chants, Euro-dance, rock guitar and bits that you can't even hear on the finished version." He continued: "That song means a lot to me as it's serious and heartfelt, but the melody is the exact opposite. It's about my cousin, who recently passed away."
The 22-year-old Miami native explained why he made such an uptempo song about his cousin's death: "It's partly about my cousin's passing and partly about a relationship I was in. It has a positive-negative vibe to it. If you're going through something you don't have to dwell in it. You can pick yourself up and that was the thought process behind writing this song and during the recording process, during the writing process it was pretty emotional and pretty rough for me. I was actually in tears when I was making the record."
DeRülo brought back director Colin Tilley for "Breathing" video, and exposes his inner turmoil so thoroughly in the video he's practically iridescent. He's stuck in an old chair surrounded by cobwebs singing about his lost love. When he reaches the climactic yell of the chorus, stretching out the word "breathing" for several seconds, he starts twitching and finally jumps out of his chair and shows off seizure-stimulated moves to the rhythm of the tribal-sounding music. Well produced and a far cry from the cliche ridden affairs that have been his previous efforts, the song and the video are impressive from start to finish.

The Saturdays Unveiled "My Heart Takes Over"

The British-Irish girl group The Saturdays have unveiled their new video for their Pop ballad "My Heart Takes Over," which is the third cut to be lifted from The Saturdays' upcoming fourth album "On Your Radar," slated for a November 21 release. "My Heart Takes Over" is a heart-wrenching breakup ballad, and the video visually translates the emotional weight that the sorry carries.
The girls have abandoned their previously favored club sounds for the new track - a powerful ballad which shows off the band's tremendous vocal abilities. The song finds the gorgeous quintet harmonizing about letting go and letting love take over. This is one of several ballads on "On Your Radar." Speaking to Digital Spy, The Saturdays said of the LP: "The ballads this time are very strong. There are quite a few tearjerkers on this one. Our last album (Headlines) only had one ballad. This time, we have a few more and they are very singalong."
The Saturdays look as glamorous as ever in skimpy outfits despite the freezing cold in new promo for "My Heart Takes Over" on the black sand beaches of Iceland. The video sees the five-piece face heavy gusts and cold temperatures as they sing their lungs out on the hillsides of the Icelandic stormy countryside. Throughout most of the video, the girls are pictured alone as they each face their own personal obstacle, which are represented by natural elements like strong winds, rough tides, and a downpour of snow.
The quintet flew to freezing cold Iceland in late September to shoot this new video. Although the video is meant to invoke feelings of loss and heartache, it's hard to believe that any of these girls have had their hearts broken. The Saturdays' designer gear, perfectly tousled hair, and overall supermodel appearance isn't the most convincing "scorned lover" act - far from the smudged mascara, puffy red eye look that the average girl sports after a breakup. Simple, stunning, cinematic, the clip reaffirms the saying that sometimes less is indeed more.

Coldplay Unveil "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall"

Giving a visual taste of what's to come on their upcoming fifth studio album, Coldplay released their simple, yet colorfully rocking video for their dance-friendly new single, "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall." The track was released earlier this week on British alternative rock band's just-released the three-song collection EP and also will be the lead single on their still-untitled record, due out this fall. The song itself is full of life and energy, and the music video reflects the same feel.
It's an uplifting Coldplay track with some catchy guitar riffs and the lead vocalist Chris Martin was inspired to write the upbeat song after hearing the 90's classic "Ritmo de la Noche" by Lorca during a nightclub scene in Javier Bardem's film "Biutiful." Martin's lyrics are very much about the power his old records possess; they imbue ordinary life with the extraordinary. Just like Martin sings, every siren can be a symphony and every heartbeat can build a cathedral. The track has a shaky, excited energy and the sort of optimistic, romantic lyrics that have made Coldplay one of the world's most crowd-pleasing rock bands.
Coldplay touches up an abandoned building in their stop-motion paint animation for new track, the colorful clip shows the UK rockers dancing along to the upbeat jam, playing in front of various backdrops sprayed with colorful graffiti. In the video, the band fully embraces that influence with animated tags and drawings that mark the walls and ground around them as they rock out in a bombed-out industrial zone. Eventually the band winds up in a dark room lit by a strobe light, and then finally outside the building altogether, as the paint begins to color the dingy exterior of the rundown structure.
The video is wildly colorful and decorated with stop motion, graphics, graffiti, and street art, playing off of the single's artwork. It is a recurring theme in the band's upcoming album, and is a video that shakes you to life. Though "Every teardrop Is a Waterfall" may sound like the title to a somber ballad, the song and video are anything but. With "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall," Coldplay prove that they're always on message, even when they're making a glorious mess.

Novaspace Premiered "Don't Look Back" Video

German-based Eurodance project Novaspace is back this year with a new single called "Don't look back," and the 4th song with Jenny Marsala as vocalist. Originated in 2002 by the record producer Felix Gauder, and it's a big name in eurodance industry, and covered several 1980s hits, such as "Time After Time," "Guardian Angel" and "Beds Are Burning." They have reached the Top 20 in Germany, Austria and Australia.
Sometimes all it takes is covering the right '80s hit single to birth an international Dance hit, and the out-of-this-world dance project did exactly that when they formed in 2002. Marsala was choose after Felix saw her performance on YouTube in 2008. Overwhelmed by her charisma and her unique voice, he immediately engaged her as the new lead vocalist for the planned rebirth of Novaspace. Since then, Marsala stands nearly every weekend live on stage and brings the international Clubs to a boil with her unique stage presence.
Novaspace also celebrates a remarkable success in 2010 with their single "Close Your Eyes" and now, Novaspace introduces their new single "Don't Look Back," which is worth having a look back at the unprecedented and lasting success story of the Dance Pop Duo.
Marsala (she pretty much is Novaspace) released this Britney-esque video for "Don't Look Back" and it's looking pretty tight. The video was directed by Niels Laupert and supported by the fabulous dancers of the New York City Dance School in Stuttgart. Marsala looks and sounds great here. Very catchy song and visually catchy clip as well.

Britney Spears Keeps Dance "Till the World Ends"

Britney Spears is back with an apocalyptic vengeance in the new video for her pulsing single, "Till the World Ends," taken from her newly-released 7th studio album, "Femme Fatale," and released as a follow-up to chart-topping single "Hold It Against Me." Produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin, and penned by Ke$ha, the equally club-friendly jam is composed as an uptempo dance-pop and electropop song with a chant-like chorus, where Spears sings about dancing until the end of the world.
"Till the World Ends" is a swirling, "beat the beat" track, the 29-year-old pop princess delivers confident and breathy vocals on the fast-paced party jam. Her main intention with her new single seems to be keeping the dance floor pulsating with sweaty bodies. The stadium-rocking pop anthem sets the pace of "Femme Fatale." Spears says, "I think 'Femme Fatale' speaks for itself... I wanted to make a fierce dance record where each song makes you want to get up and move..."
Spears dances away the apocalypse in her 2012, endtime-inspired video, which was directed by Ray Kay and filmed inside a basement in Los Angeles. Spears goes to the future, December 12, 2012 to be exact, while Spears appears strutting in an underground party wearing a studded leather jacket and stockings. It is set in a time when the world falls apart and Spears leads people to escape the madness by throwing an underground party. Several people are seen running to a manhole and enter the sewer system to arrive to the party. This is followed by a dance routine in which Spears is wearing a sequined bodysuit and a small jacket, while accompanied by female dancers.
It's no secret that in her 12 years, Spears has been the master of surprise. From that schoolgirl ensemble, to her eventual rise back to the top, she's become a bona fide expert in keeping the pop world waiting with bated breath. "Till the World Ends" is nearly the 40th music video Spears has made in her career. When asked if she feels she needs to top herself with every project, she responded, "Not really. I feel like I've made so many videos that I'm at the point that I genuinely want to enjoy myself, and I have such a good team of people with me. we just have fun. It was a lot of fun. I had never worked with Ray Kay before. I was really happy with the work we did."

Nelly And Kelly Rowland Pair Up Again For 'Gone'

The star-crossed lovers we met Nine years ago in Nelly and Kelly Rowland's Grammy-winning collaboration on "Dilemma" are back, and rekindle the flame in the duo's video for their new match-up "Gone." The Jim Jonsin-produced and Rico Love-penned R&B-ballad mid-tempo serves as the official third single from the St Louis rapper's sixth studio album "5.0." Reunited artists frolic on a beach in flirty new clip and both their talents are definitely exhibited in this 2011 version.
Another "stellar duet" from Rowland and Nelly, the lovey-dovey tune "Gone" is the sequel to Nelly's 2002 worldwide No.1 single "Dilemma," also with Rowland. The predominately R&B-ballad contains elements of pop music. Like on "Dilemma," Nelly and Rowland address one another by name as they sing about having the hots for each other over a relaxed R&B melody. This new slow groove is harmless enough, and even boasts a similar beat to its predecessor. It's a rather familiar mid-tempo urban pop ballad – albeit this time about re-kindling lost love.
"Gone" extends the story of the duo's earlier single "Dilemma". Nelly told MTV that "Gone" was not just a sequel. He said "I don't want to say it's a sequel. I don't want to diminish anything with 'Dilemma' or have an expectation you can't live up to when you do that. When you do that type of thing, there's people who are already, 'I don't wanna hear it... It's one of those things where we did reconnect. Our chemistry has already proven to be good, whether it was onstage or in the studio. It was something that we wanted to reconnect with... It's a cool joint. I think people will get it."
That theme is reflected in the video, which was directed by Marc Klasfeld and filmed in early February in Mexico on a sandy beach. The synopsis of the video shows Nelly and Rowland both vacationing on an island resort and cozying up on the beach and getting intimate poolside in the steamy scenes. As video plays along, Nelly spots Rowland lounging out in the sun and is stopped in his tracks, lowering his sunglasses. Throughout the video, they take turns courting each other, but also pining for the other. But will the older and wiser Nelly and Rowland turn their flirtations into a lasting relationship, or will they fizzle after a fling? You'll just have to watch the sexy co-stars heat up the screen once again below to find out.

Victoria Justice clubbing in 'Freak the Freak out'

The Nickelodeon 17-year-old star Victoria Justice and the rest of the cast from her show "Victorious" made a music video for the song "Freak the Freak Out," which shares the same name with the newest one-hour special episode of the hit Nickelodeon show "Victorious" that aired last night. The Nickelodeon teen star was also on a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and later appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show to talk about being in the parade and to promote her show. The video shows Justice, who is unsurprisingly working on an album, making the rounds in a warehouse/club with her co-stars to freak out.
Set inside a downtown Los Angeles warehouse, the video features the Nickelodeon star is joined by the whole cast of "Victorious" as they each gets their moment to show off their best moves in a dance-off with other clubgoers to the title track. Justice talk about the making of the video: "It was really amazing. It was shot, for the most part, in a warehouse space in downtown Los Angeles. The creative sounded great to me, but I wasn't sure of how the sets would look. When I walked in, I knew then that there would be a very cool vibe to the video, which was what I was hoping for. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. The whole cast was there and it was like one big party. I loved the choreography and I love the song. It has such high energy that it'll make you want to get up and dance. I really hope everyone loves it."
"Victorious" stars Justice as a talented teenager who attends a performing arts school. In the "Freak the Freak Out" episode, the teens go to a karaoke place for a competition, but find that the contest is unfair. So she and the gang have to figure out a way to expose the cheating girls and show everyone who can really sing. Cat fights will be mixed with some singing and dancing scenes in this one-hour special. Beside acting and contributing on the soundtrack, Justice herself is also preparing her own debut album. "I'm still working on it. I will say that a lot of songs that I've written are from my own personal experiences which are special to me. One can only hope that people will like it," she stated.
At just 17, Justice stars on Nickelodeon's hit show "Victorious" as Tori Vega, a student at an elite Los Angeles performing arts school. She sings, she acts, and this Thanksgiving, she made her debut live performance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Premiering her music video for "Freak the Freak Out" exclusively on PopEater and setting the tone for her upcoming one hour TV special with the "Victorious" cast, Justice is having a blast.

Katy Perry Inspires And Explodes In "Firework"

Showing her care and concern for fans, the newly married singer Katy Perry has not only unveiled the video for her single "Firework," but also wanted her new video to inspire people and she even dedicated it to the "It Gets Better" campaign, because she feels "everyone has the spark to be a firework." This inspirational dance jam is the third single from her sophomore effort, "Teenage Dream." The video is part of a huge cross-promotional deal with European telecommunications group Deutsche Telekom, who hosted a series of competitions for fans to win the opportunity to feature in the video.
The amazing Perry told Billboard magazine that the inspiration for the song came from an unlikely source. "Basically I have this very morbid idea... when I pass, I want to be put into a firework and shot across the sky over the Santa Barbara Ocean as my last hurrah," she said. "I want to be a firework, both living and dead. My boyfriend(now husband) showed me a paragraph out of Jack Kerouac's book On The Road, about people that are buzzing and fizzing and full of life and never say a commonplace thing. They shoot across the sky like a firework and make people go, 'Ahhh.' I guess that making people go 'ahhh' is kind of like my motto."
That certainly is an explosive video by the newly wedded Mrs. Brand. Perry's most recent tweet states that her grandmother is her firework: "The firework in my life is my grandmother. She raised me and taught me everything about life. She is one extraordinary woman." Perry said "Firework" is her favorite song on "Teenage Dream." She expressed that: "People are coming back and almost adopting it as their own anthem, and it's hard, I think, to write an anthem that's not cheesy, and I hope that this could be something in that category. I hope this could be one of those things where it's like, 'Yeah, I want to put my fist up and feel proud and feel strong. But I also don't want to be cheesy, it's a fine line, and I think 'Firework' would be like the opus or my one song, if I had to pick a song to play, 'cause it has a great beat. But it also has a fantastic message."
The pop superstar spreads love to her fans in a joyous dance party to empower youths and make them comfortable in their own skin. It's a straight up self-empowerment anthem wrapped in a Coldplay-on-poppers club banger from the Stargate team. The video opens with the camera panning in the beautiful city of Budapest in Hungary before Perry emerges in a lavender gown, standing on a balcony singing. Soon, it is intercut with stories of people who need to find their inner firework. with Perry in the center of the action, belting out the song's inspiring message as fireworks explode around them all. Perry is sending a message: empower yourself and embrace your inner firework. As always, Perry's songs are instantly catchy, and we support such a positive message, and we kind of need it nowadays.

The Saturdays "Missing You" Big Ad For Summer

The British/Irish girl group THE SATURDAYS have released the music video, the dance routine matches for their lead single "Missing You" from the girlband's forthcoming third project "Headlines," a total of five new songs for the eight-track mini LP. "Missing You" is released on August 9, followed by "Headlines" on August 16.
"Missing You" comes with a b-side song, "Ready to Rise," and features the five girls on storming form. It's an R&B-ish ballad from the girls and the chorus gets stuck to my head after the first listen. A commendable effort, the song is great for the radio. The bittersweet lyrics are an ode to a lost love, sung beautifully over some monster synth riffs, perfect for a summer smash. Fittingly, the video was recently shot at the end of May in Malaga, Spain. It's basically one big advert for summer, and the band walk around on a beach and dance in a rock pool (with artful splashing) dressed in a variety of beachwear.
Within in the music video Frankie Sandford is seen wearing a cropped white top and white shorts, Frankie walks casually through a field in the video, seemingly unaware of the attention her astonishing six pack is receiving. Una Healy also displayed her toned stomach in a white bikini top, denim waistcoat and long skirt, while Mollie King shows a modest hint of her tummy in a cropped shirt. Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman are the only two members of the band not to flash their midriffs in the new video.
Believe it or not, it's just over a year since THE SATURDAYS touched down on Planet Pop and quickly set about redecorating it in the neon shades of their sparklingly fluorescent hyper-pop. Since then a combination of nifty, killer tunes, super-tight performances and pure, hard graft has taken Frankie, Mollie, Rochelle, Una and Vanessa from bright-eyed pop ing'enues to permanent fixtures on the UK charts. Whatever scepticism and lazy comparisons greeted them initially have simply been swept away by a tireless ethos of getting on with it. The fact remains, since their debut last summer, THE SATURDAYS have had more hits than any other girl group in the land.
It's not gone unnoticed that music's needed a bloody good kick up the arse for some time now. Indie and R & B are all well and good, but what the hell are we supposed to dance to? Well wonder no more, because THE SATURDAYS's are about to throw themselves headfirst into your consciousness like a five-woman whirlwind, and bring back some much-needed, shameless fun to the charts. They're pure pop and just proud of it.

Nathalie Makoma Released "I Just Wanna Dance"

Congolese-Dutch singer Nathalie Makoma has just released new video for her second single "I Just Wanna Dance." Makoma was the runner up of Dutch Idol 4, back in 2008. This dance pop song is an English version of Girls' Generation's (SNSD's) "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)," is just released in The Netherlands.
"I Just Wanna Dance" is a great R&B, Pop, Dance track with an uptight beat. Not only is this a great song, but it is completely legit! The song was rightfully bought by Sony Entertainment from the composer, so SNSD's song as well as Nathalie's are 100% legal. Dancetunes with Makoma's vocals are suiting her very well, this how she likes it!
Makoma is an up and coming star with a story. She was born in Kinshasa (DR Congo), and raised in both Netherlands and Germany, Makoma's deep cultural roots rush through her soul in everything and anything she sings–and it is amazing. She is by far one of the most inspirational voices that I've ever heard grace the Idol stage. In the Netherlands she is known from her performances during Idols 4. Against all her expectations she knows how to convince the jury and later on the audience in the Netherlands. The jury calls her the new Tina Turner and a real dancing queen. Makoma makes it to the finals and becomes second of Idols 2008. In Africa she is known for being the lead singer of the best gospel bands, "Makoma." But Makoma is more then an energetic diva with a great voice. She is a sweet, shy personality as well. On stage she becomes someone else who isn't afraid of anything.
After Idols, Makoma gets a record deal at one of the biggest record labels in the Netherlands, Sony Music. With her Idols colleagues Nikki and Charlene she gives a tour through the Netherlands. The three artists give away over 150 shows in four months time. Her first single "I Won't Forget" is out in stores right now! Makoma will do anything to become a very big star. And she will be, because when Makoma wants something she goes for it, not for a 100% but 200%.

Shakira' Song 'Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)'

Anticipation continues to build for the 2012 FIFA World Cup, the premiere international soccer tournament that occurs only every four years. It's set to kick off this Friday, June 11 in and around Johannesburg, South Africa. Though there is no doubt the soccer will be excellent, it'll also be thrilling to hear the music coming out of the month-long tournament. Several artists have created official World Cup anthem songs, including R. Kelly and K'Naan, but Shakira's latest tune "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" is perhaps the best of them all. She just premiered the video for "This time for Africa", better known locally as "Waka Waka," and it's a delightfully colorful affair. Joined by South Africa fusion band Freshlyground and a bevy of dancers, Shakira rolls through the funky, inspirational tune with her usual blend of jittery energy and engaging charm. It also doesn't hurt that she's an excellent dancer, as are the performers who flank her throughout the clip.
It was her first visit to the country and is also an ambassador for the One Goal Education Initiative and wants to visit some schools, the Colombian Pop sensation Shakira will take center stage for the Official World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert (via Billboard) taking place at Orlando Stadium on Thursday, the eve of the opening match of the tournament. "I am looking forward to seeing all the South African artists who will be performing at the Kick-off concert. I especially want to see their dance moves. I am looking forward to stealing some dance moves as well," she said. She will perform alongside homegrown sensation Freshlyground, who she has collaborated with for "Waka Waka," which is Written jointly by Shakira and John Hill, and an adaptation of a traditional soldiers' song named "Zangalewa."
The 33-year-old singer works it out in this new music video, all the excitement on the field is mashed up with frisky dance and performance and shows off the joy on the field when the goal is scored and disappointment when it's failed. The music video also features cameos from such football players as Lionel Messi, Dani Alves, Rafael Marquez, Gerard Pique and Carlos Kameni among others. "The FIFA World Cup is a miracle of global excitement, connecting every country, race, religion and condition around a single passion. It represents an event that has the power to unite and integrate, and that's what this song is about," Shakira said in a statement. Her excellent belly dancing moves have made her more popular in the music world.

"It's On" From Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato

The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato just released their new music video for the track, "It's On," off the TV-movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" soundtrack Friday on Disney Channel. The Brandon Dickerson directed video gives fans a glimpse on what they'll see in the upcoming movie, and also showing Lovato and popular hip-hop artist Matthew 'Mdot' Finley go head to head. Choreographed by the movie's Rosero McCoy, it's the first-ever concept music video from the leading channel for kids, tweens and families.
The new video, features Lovato and the three Brothers rock out with the rest of the cast of Camp Rock 2, was made just after they wrapped the Disney movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," which will premiere September 3 on Disney Channel, the guys say that the video perfectly encapsulates the vibe of the sequel. "We shot [the video] back in September, October, and it was a great experience," Joe Jonas told MTV News at the Young Hollywood Awards on Thursday night. "We were able to get back with the cast, and the video was really fun. Joe added that the video, which was directed by Brandon Dickerson, will give fans a taste of what they will see in the flick. "It has a lot of pieces to the puzzle to what people will see when the movie does come out," he said. "I think it's also a little something of what people are going to see when we go out on tour."
"The video is a really cool concept," Kevin Jonas continued. "It takes on the aspect of the music and just the intensity, the high energy of what the song is. What's cool is just the passion of all the people who are singing." Nick explained that it was a bit of a high-intensity shoot since they filmed "It's On" at night. "It was good. It was a long night. We shot it overnight, 'cause we wrapped the movie with night shoots so from basically 10 [at night] to 10 in the morning every day [we shot the movie]," he said. "And after the movie wrapped, we shot the video, so we had to stay on that schedule. We stayed up all night and then [had] a flight on the next day. It was [an experience] we'll never forget."
The movie's soundtrack, meanwhile, will be made available for purchase nationwide on July 27 on Walt Disney Records with 15 original songs that span hip-hop, pop/rock and dance, and is the biggest, broadest music yet for a Disney Channel Original Movie. In support of the TV movie and the theme songs, Jonas Brothers will be going on a tour with their co-stars beginning July 27 in Dallas, Texas. In addition, the band along with Lovato will perform on "Good Morning America" this coming Tuesday, May 18.

Esmée Denters Debuts "Outta Here" Music Video

New artist Esmée Denters, the 21-year-old Dutch songstress, and the YouTude Protege of Justin Timberlake has finally put out a music video to support her new single "Outta Here", the first release and title track off the Dutch pop singer's debut album, released in the UK on January 11, 2010 and features the previous 2008 charity duet with Timberlake, "Follow My Lead" as an additional bonus song.
Before becoming a singer, Denters was a pancake house waitress from Westervoort, and a regular cover-artist on video-sharing website YouTube, where she covered songs from some of the biggest charting artists like Alicia Keys, Pink, and Natasha Bedingfield until she caught Timberlake's attention. From her webcam at home to 70,000 people in Holland's Amsterdam Arena supporting Timberlake, she's had a big step up in her career. Her YouTube videos have racked up over 133 million hits. Her debut album "Outta Here" shows not only her voice, but her writing talent as well, creatively collaborating with Timberlake on a big part of the album, which is a mix of Pop and R&B with both ballads, and uptempo tracks.
The single "Outta Here" is part pop, part R&B with a twist of soul that the internet sensation says encapsulates who she is. Speaking about the inspiration behind its songs, Denters stated: "I wanted my album to represent exactly who I am. Because I'm a 20-year-old girl, sometimes I just wanna go out and have fun with my girls. So that side of me naturally appears on the record. But then there's also a deeper side to me that's in there too, where I talk about relationships, getting your heart broken, feeling betrayed... So yeah, I guess I basically just wanted to vent all my personal issues on the record, while at the same time giving people songs that they can relate to."
The music video mostly features Denters having personal troubles with her boyfriend, she then starts to remove him from her life. Later in the video it shows her celebrating in a club and then flashes back to an image of Denters in a corner crying, ending singing to the camera laying on her back, wearing headphones. Denters herself has confirmed something along these lines, saying, "it has a strong message that says when someone treats you bad, just get out of that situation and think about yourself first." YouTube sensation's voice is very current and the amount of control she has when she does those runs is incredible! With her look, talent and the backing of someone like Timberlake, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of her!
