Mariah Carey released "You're Mine (Eternal)"

Mariah Carey is back, timed the release perfectly and brings the sexy to Valentine's Day with all her diva glory in the breathtaking music video for her new love-themed single "You're Mine (Eternal)," and it just in time for the holiday of love. Perfectly crafted Valentine's Day treat, the understated love ballad is the third single to be released ahead of her upcoming album, "The Art of Letting Go," her first album in five years, out May 6.
"We wanted to make a modern classic that made you have an emotional response and yet was still something that could play on radio now," Carey told MTV's Sway of the ballad, which she wrote and produced with Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. The mid-tempo tune is a breathless, throbbing quiet storm of a song that relies more on its hypnotic charm than Carey’s vocal pyrotechnics. Instead, she's fairly subdued throughout much of the song relying on a very deliberate delivery to draw in the listener. Listen carefully the impressive whistle at the end of the song. This is a reminder that no one can outrun the supremacy of Mariah Carey in the high notes.
It's a gaseous, breathy, enjoyably straightforward fluffy ballad that feels like a direct descendent of the song that rang in her mid-career renaissance, 2005's mega-hit "We Belong Together:" plinking piano melodies, a typically fluttering Carey vocal take, and a very similar beat. It also fits right alongside the effortlessness of "Beautiful." While not as immediately catchy as that song, this one's got a nice, lilting beat and should keep fans satisfied about the direction she's going in for this latest era. The 43-year-old R&B songstress proves why she's still the fiercest diva in the game.
The Indrani-directed clip finds a topless and glitter-covered Carey embracing the outdoors and lounging near a waterfall in the Puerto Rican rainforest. Whether it's straddling a rock alongside a babbling brook, taking a dip in brilliant blue water or sitting beside an abundance of foliage, fog swirling behind her, Carey travels all across the terrain to sing the praises of her lost lover, played by a shirtless Trey Songz, who is posing for a photo shoot back in New York City, and only looks mildly happy about life, clearly missing his Carey. At night, Songz goes to bed alone. "I want you to take away from this any romantic moments you're having this Valentine's Day and eternity," she said about the video.

Mariah Carey, Miguel go for joy ride in 'beautiful'

Mariah Carey teases her sexy collaborator with a playful dance routine in a fun and sweet simplistic video for her new popping duet with R&B throwback crooner Miguel, "#Beautiful," the lead cut from her forthcoming as-yet-untitled fourteenth album, and the long-awaited follow-up to her 2009 recording "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel." The pop/R&B diva, the best-selling female artist of all time with more than 200 million albums sold to date, recently told Billboard her new album "has more raw ballads than people might expect."
"#Beautiful" is a mid-tempo and stripped down pop, an nod to the old school-flavored and soul track, and blends the two singers' vocals into a sticky-sweet ballad. Carey and Miguel embark on a motorbike cruise during the night, as Miguel begins it and boldly crooning about her beauty. Carey does not enter the song until a third of the way through, she matches Miguel's glorious tone with the confidence of someone who knows she can lift her verse to equal whatever comes her way. "#Beautiful" ends at the exact moment it should with a textured layering of both singers' vocals which gradually fade as the song draws to a close.
The retro-tinged, breezy guitar-driven number is gritty and vital, filled with a crawling, dirty bass line, a seductive, immediately embeddable guitar melody and just enough tambourine to get the engine running. The song's lyrics called for Carey to be dressed in sexy attire, and her big vocals combined with Miguel's signature eclectic rock and roll sound results in "#Beautiful" having an old school vibe to it reminiscent of the Stax Records/Motown Records era. Miguel's soothing R&B pipes and Carey's 1991-sounding ethereal vocals make "#Beautiful" such a winner!
Filmed out in Los Angeles, the visual takes us on a motorcycle ride with Miguel behind the wheel and Carey riding shotgun suited up in some beautiful leather attire. Director Joseph Khan seamlessly superimposed the pair onto the countryside backdrop along with shots of Carey seductively propped on a big bike in front of a giant tree for a very light and breezy feel and mood for the video that matches the sweet ballad. The 43-year-old superstar isn't messing around in what's probably her hottest music video yet and looks as young and fresh as her 1997 "Honey" video days in the playful dance routine she does for the younger 27-year-old neo-soul singer.

Mariah Carey feeling of reaching "Almost Home"

Just in time for the release of the Disney's fantasy adventure film "Oz The Great & Powerful," Mariah Carey unveils the uplifting music video for her newest empowering anthem, "Almost Home," which was written as the lead theme soundtrack for the motion picture. Aside from co-writing and co-producing "Almost Home" and being a panelist on 'American Idol,' Carey is currently in the studio working on her forthcoming 14th studio album, which contain a "lot more raw ballads than people might expect," the singer says, due in May.
"Almost Home" is a pop and electropop song, with elements of other music genres such as R&B, hip hop, and EDM. The 42-year-old songstress keeps delivers an inspirational message with the upbeat tune, and Carey is placed right in the mythical land from the famed movie. "'Almost Home' has a message that works beautifully with the film," Carey says. "It's a feel-good record; it gives you the feeling of reaching your home and being with people that you love."

Carey looks ageless and you'd be surprised to learn that she turns 43-years-old on 27th of this month.
The Pop diva looks stunning and keeps it simple and classy for this photographer David LaChapelle-directed black-and-white visuals, which has glimpses from the fantasy lushly colorful film, as sensationally glamorous Carey in a beautiful couture gown with a wind machine whipping back her hair and croons her way through the Stargate co-produced motivational ballad alone in an empty room. It has a surprisingly minimalist vibe and is an absolutely abysmal way of promoting the movie, but alas, music lovers, that's just the modern age and the world we live in.

Mariah Carey hits ring in "Triumphant (Get 'Em)"

The pop diva and prospective American Idol judge Mariah Carey may be emancipated, but she makes 'triumphant' return in front of the lens shooting a new video for her current rap-heavy anthemic track, "Triumphant (Get 'Em)," which features rappers Rick Ross and Meek Mill. Carey's honeyed voice is perfectly matched by Ross's lower rumble and Mill's bold, energetic delivery. Ultimately, it's a classic Carey track, lacing potent R&B beats and vocal patterns with an urban street edge.
Served as the lead-off single from Carey's hotly anticipated fourteenth, yet to be titled comeback campaign (the first since 2009's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel"), "Triumphant (Get 'Em)," is a midtempo R&B and hip hop inspirational song. Lyrically, the song is uplifting and positive. The 42-year-old revealed that she penned this song when she was going through a difficult time and it helped her get through it. She later stated that she wrote it when her husband Nick Cannon was in the hospital with acute kidney failure.
In a landscape that is dominated by uptempo, synthy tracks loaded with overly processed vocals, it left us wondering exactly where Carey's vocal acrobatics could or would fit in in 2012. Carey uses her best asset that gorgeous voice to her benefit, but thankfully, she's not overdoing it and shattering glass with her mega octaves. There is a time and place for that, but it’s not in the space of this particular song. Instead, Carey exercises taut control and that’s why the song is pretty incredible. When Carey does turn it up, she's on-point, a self-help guru with a five-ctave range.
Having a 1960s vibe with the word “TRIUMPHANT” boldly splayed across the back of his golden robe, Mill stars in Carey's husband Nick Cannon-directed clip as a boxer heading into the ring and hoping to demolish and triumph against his competition, a fitting metaphor for the song, while Ross watches from the front row with ever-glamorous Carey, who basically plays a cheerleader and does not disappoint in the pictures, looking like a Hollywood starlet in diamonds and a curve-hugging gleaming golden glory dress.

Mariah Carey Premiered "Angels Cry" Feat Ne-Yo

American R&B/pop singer Mariah Carey has premiered music videos in support of her remixed singles "Angels Cry" which officially impacted Rhythmic, Urban and Urban AC radio, featuring fellow Island Def Jam artist Ne-Yo on Wednesday night on VEVO.com. The track is the second single taken from the upcoming thirteenth studio album and second remix album "Angels Advocate," a collection of newly remixed duets with artists performing songs from her current CD "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel," will be available in stores across U.S. on March 30.
When it rains, it pours Carey's videos. She weathers the storm and sharing screen with her collaborator Ne-Yo, singing in the rain. Apparently, angles only cry when Carey is arching her back in alley while wearing a white tank top. Or at least that's how director and her husband Nick Cannon (aka Mr. Mimi) spins it. But not only does Carey get wet from the rain, in a classy product placement moment, she douses herself and one of her pals in the video with her own M perfume. Ne-Yo maintains his usual suave composure while tinkling away on the piano and offering up one of his trademark spins. The video will debut today on MTV and BET, and all other platforms starting Monday, February 1.
Carey is currently touring to support the second installation of the double-A side combo. The revamped song is supposed to satisfy both markets - Hip Hop and Adult Contemporary. She has kicked it off on January 2 and is going to wrap it up next month on February 26. The tour and remix album are named "Angels Advocate" which is inspired by the song "Angels Cry", originally featured on "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel."

Mariah Debuts New Music Video For "H.A.T.E.U"

Mariah Carey has always had a thing for gorgeous beaches and beautiful scenery, which is also obvious in her just released brand spankin' music video for her new single, "H.A.T.E.U.," the third single off the 39-year-old singer's latest 12th effort studio project called "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel."
The video for "H.A.T.E.U."(abbreviation of "Having A Typical Emotional Upset") was shot on the beach in Malibu last month by filmmaker Brett Ratner, a longtime Carey collaborator, whose videography with her stretches back more than a decade to 1998's "I Still Believe." Over the years, Ratner also helmed her videos for such as "It's Like That," "We Belong Together," "Touch My Body," and most recently, for her platinum selling No.1 single, "Obsessed," along with big-budget, big-screen releases like "X-Men: The Last Stand."
The video features the pop diva truly seems to be feeling the heartbreak, walking down a long wooden staircase, first in a deep-V black silk swim gear and then a white one, more elaborately cut, and wondering alone on the beach, singing forlornly to the camera, while obviously in pain after a breakup. It contained in the words of the song, and that serves as a distraction from the fact that there is no story to it to begin with. The video runs over a minute less than the length of the song's album version, closes with Carey writing "HATE U" in the sand with her finger, then spreading sand over it with an angry flick.
The song, "H.A.T.E.U." currently on radio, and its official remix is produced by Jermaine Dupri and features additional verses from OutKast's rappers Big Boi, Gucci Mane and OJ Da Juiceman. The album was released in September this year and has not moved as many copies as was expected. It could only debut at No.3 on Billboard Hot 200 with 168,000 units, so Carey is remixing the entire album and is expected to come out in February 2010. Swizz Beatz and Christopher 'Tricky' Stewart will step behind the production desks, while the likes of Trey Songz, R. Kelly and T-Pain will lend their vocal. Undoubtedly, coming out with videos like this one will also help bring back attention on the album, and then again, that is something that only time will tell.

Mariah Carey's "I Want to Know What Love Is"

Madame Butterfly Mariah Carey has unveiled a new music video on her official website to accompany her recent cover of Foreigner's classic 1984 ballad "I Want To Know What Love Is" as the second single lifted from her twelfth studio album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," was out November 16. The single has helped Carey reached another milestone, made new album hit her 20th top 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart Wednesday, only been beat by Celine Dion (21).
The single, produced by Carey, C. "Tricky" Stewart and James "Big Jim" Wright, was released in the US for digital download September 15. Before it was re-recorded, the song has been covered by other artists, such as Tina Arena, Clay Aiken, David Phelps and Gloria Gaynor among others. Mick Jones said of her version: "I think she's actually retained the integrity of the song. You know, the arrangement is very similar to the original. They haven't tampered with the song too much. She's captured a certain emotional thing, a feeling."
The Hype Williams directed CG-heavy video was shot in New York City and captures Carey making a live performance in an anonymous baseball stadium, whilst shots are intercut with people who have had tough times in their past, who get quite emotional watching her perform, where a particularly lanky-looking Carey sings into an old-school mic atop a giant butterfly emblem in the field as the True Worship Church Choir provides backup vocals. Mimi looks at least ten years younger in the clip, sporting her Unplugged-era perm-tastic hair and a notable lack of Hello Kitty clothing. This incredible Carey inspire-a-thon clip is so corny, almost magical and really breathtaking.
Career-wise, the 39-year-old R&B singer is almost as powerful as she's ever been. The single has garnered very positive reviews, with many critics praising Carey's version of the classic ballad. Australian magazine "Rhyme & Reason" stated that "While Carey stayed true to the original, this piano-led remake is less an overhaul of the classic '80s hit than it is a modest but impressive update." Bill Lamb from About.com said that "Mariah Carey's new version could leave you speechless. The diversity of vocal coloring expressed in this recording is stunning. This single is a reminder of just how formidable Carey's talents are given a strong production and arrangement."

The five-time Grammy winner, Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970 in NY), was the most successful artist of the 1990s and ranked as the best-selling female artist of the U.S., with sales of over 200 million albums worldwide. The new quasi-hit "Obsessed" is the lead single from her 12th forthcoming studio album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel", is due out Sept 15. The singer described the song as an "uptempo fun summer record", pop diva said that even though she wanted to release a ballad, "Obsessed" had to come out 1st because she wanted "a fun summer moment to kick off the album."
Mariah has played a lot of parts in her music videos, usually opting for a vixen of some sort. But the video for "Obsessed" directed by Brett Ratner, she took on a whole new role as a male stalker. The pop star relished the idea of going incognito and spending some time as a regular person on the streets of New York. Mariah alters her appearance to play her stalker by wearing a fake goatee along with male clothing. The video was inspired by scenes from the 2004 film, "Mean Girls". The video was debuted July 15 on "America's Got Talent" show. Mariah will also perform the song on the August 5, episode of "America's Got Talent" and will make a performance at the 26th annual MTV Video Music Awards, will be held on September 9, according to Rap-Up.
