Nickelback Has House Party In "This Afternoon"

Canadian rock band Nickelback have streamed the video for their latest single "This Afternoon," the band's legendary house party, off their album "Dark Horse." Ever party until 6 in the morning with all your friends? Wake up in a room full of empty beer bottles only to bring them back so you can buy some more? Ever have the cops come by to break up your shindig, and join in the fun instead?! The ultimate party - that's what Nickelback pays homage to in the new video for "This Afternoon," which makes it's iTunes debut on Tuesday with 48 hours free download, and just in time for the Summer.
"This Afternoon," a summer party anthem song, the lead vocals Chad Kroeger sings about a carefree life, boozing and lighting up with friends. The track is the eighth single from band's 2008 'Mutt' Lange-produced and critically acclaimed sixth studio album "Dark Horse." The song is an upbeat country rock song reminiscent of "Rockstar". The bass guitar Mike Kroeger commented on the influence of country music on this tune: "It's a big-time part of our background, that whole laid-back, barroom kind of feel. Where we grew up everybody listened to Country."
A Music video for the song has been confirmed and according to Roadrunner, "Get ready to see the band like you have never seen them before." During the build up to the video, Roadrunner Records have been running daily screenshots of the video as teasers. The pictures have included many young women at what seems to be a party. It suggests an extremely feel good atmospheric video which features the band playing on a propped up stage above the festivities. To say the video will bring a happy laid back feel is an understatement, reflecting perfectly what the song is all about, living the life of a normal, working class person, having the best times with friends, however having little or no money and struggling to pay the rent on accommodation. The video certainly looks like encapsulating that whole feel good nature that the song does so well. "We never take anything for granted," says Chad Kroeger. But this is one band that certainly could.

Miley Cyrus "Can't Be Tamed" In Sexy New Video

The Disney teen-star Miley Cyrus has left Hannah Montana behind. In case that wasn't obvious by the singer's choice to exit the Disney Channel show this year, Cyrus makes it abundantly clear in her just released new video on E! News for "Can't Be Tamed," the first and title track from her upcoming third studio album, hits stores on June 22. The 17-year-old Disney star dances around a pole in a giant birdcage wearing a burlesque-style outfit of hotpants, corset, knee-high tassled-boots and long gloves.
Hollywood Records described "Can't Be Tamed" as a "a self empowering song in which Miley asserts that she has to stay true to herself in relationships." The track serves as a solid dance song that has rhythm and beat to it and is clearly representing her new view and claiming her independence and stating to everyone that she "Can't Be Tamed." When you take the time to listen to her new single, you'll realize that she has sort of skipped a whole portion of her life. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Cyrus said: "The reason I loved doing this video is because I wanted it to be something different for a female artist. It is a sexy video, and you can't really take that away from it, but it's not the premise."
Cyrus has evolved from a teeny bopper's idol to a full-fledged pop star. She also evolves into a bird in Robert Hales-directed new video, which features Cyrus performing with backup dancers throughout a museum. She is first trapped in a giant cage, being observed by spectators, and then escapes and trashes the museum. In regards to the video's theme, Cyrus explained, "I think [the video] explains my life but it doesn't exclude other people's lives. It's not just about how fabulous and glamorous and all this. It's about explaining the song and living the lyrics. I don't wanna be in a cage. I want to be free and do what I love." The 17-year-old pop sensation appears to be flaunting about the fact that she is a grown woman now. As if her stripper pole "performances" and risqué Vogue shoots with her dad weren't enough, reining teen pop star has to let the world know yet again that she isn't Hannah Montana.

Beyoncé Dresses Up In "Why Don't You Love Me"

Beyoncé is still doing her best to keep her music flowing and has just dressed up like a 50's pin-up housewife attire and raging red lips for her brand-new music video, "Why Don't You Love Me?" which is the ninth video overall and the song features as a bonus track from the deluxe edition of her latest album, "I Am...Sasha Fierce," and just premiered yesterday via her Vimeo page. We love her Rosie the Riveter look and the 1950s sitcom intro music!
Queen Bey stuns again! This time the singer flaunts her bootylicious body in tiny Daisy Duke style shorts, a checked shirt, shows off a toned midriff and sported a cute 50's style hair do. In a nod to classic American television, the clip opens with a narrator — in an advertising-styled voice-over — introducing B, "starring as B.B. Homemaker," who struggling to fix her broken down car in a vintage style production executive produced by the starlet herself, "Why Don't You Love Me" is giving us everything we need. The singer looks hot as she smears oil on her face, fans the smoking engine of her car and poses with a wrench.

Why doesn't whomever she's talking to love her? It makes no sense!

Gabriella Cilmi Disco-inspired "Hearts Don't Lie"

After the top 10 UK success of her brilliant single "On A Mission," Australian singer Gabriela Cilmi is now back for a second serving and re-team with English pop production house Xenomania for "Hearts Don't Lie" from her latest disco drenched sophomore album "Ten," which Cilmi describes as "lots of uptempo funk and disco-inspired numbers designed to make people groove." The album is preceded by the single "On a Mission" and marks Cilmi's foray into more 1980s inspired music.
"Hearts Don't Lie" which she likens to a Bee Gees song, doesn't escape the 1980's sound Cilmi's trying to achieve. It's more of a soul-dance-jazz fusion. The track is got a touch of funk bass, a great disco beat and has one very big chorus. Clearly Cilmi's intent on conquering dancefloors across the world with this new sound. Another great 70's-inspired pop song, and I still love her new direction, which is absolutely spectacular and I can definitely see a future for her.
While everyone seems to be droppin' their draws left right and center, Aussie pop princess is bucking the trend and keepings things fun and flirty in her new video, which which was heavily inspired by seventies/eighties disco, Blondie and the gays. In the Studio 54 inspired video, Cilmi transforms herself into a modern day disco diva to get down to the sounds of the seventies, showing that it's easy to be utterly drop dead sexy and completely classy at the same time. It's important to enjoy the music for what it really is, meaningful and entertaining art.

Jason Derülo "Ridin' Solo" Straight To The Club

After whipping the studio audience into a frenzy with an electrifying performance of his hit single "In My Head" on American Idol April 7, red-hot pop sensation Jason Derülo is gearing up to release JR Rotem-produced new third single, "Ridin' Solo," to pop radio last Wednesday, and now premiered the video for his new single off his self-titled eponymous debut album, which has been made available for purchase across US since March 2. "Ridin' Solo" is originally sampled "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve, however the sample was not cleared and was subsequently replaced with electronic motifs which are featured throughout the entire song.
The Miami-born Derülo has quickly established himself as one of the breakout stars of 2010. He goes to club, singing and dancing like there is no tomorrow, and takes the literal approach to the track as the beat kicks in, leading him to break it down on the dancing tip as he gets his Michael Jackson on in front of a wide screen of flashing lights. But he doesn't ride solo for long, taking it to the club where a pair of girls log on to PlentyofFish.com on their Apple iPad. Soon, Derülo grabs the ladies and hops into the whip before riding out the track.

Justin Bieber & Sean Kingston For 'Eenie Meenie'

Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston get caught in a love triangle, but not for long in their "Eeenie Meenie" video, which premiered last Thursday on Vevo. The rooftop pool-party video telling the story of the Canadian teen pop star and the Jamacian-American hip hop singer are flirting with the same girl at a Hollywood Hills party. Does one lucky girl get to catch a Bieber by the toe? The suspense is killing us!
"Eenie Meenie" is the first of two songs that Bieber and Kingston have collaborated on to appear on their respective albums. The song is the first single from Kingston's third Untitled studio album. It's also included on Bieber's "My World 2.0" album. The song was released on mainstream radio on March 16. The "Eenie Meenie" music video was filmed on March 30 in Beverly Hills, and directed by Ray Kay who also directed Bieber's "Baby" music video. Kingston told the press that working with Bieber was awesome. He stated, "Shooting this video with Justin was awesome. When I met him two years ago, we just clicked, so it was only a matter of time before we got together in the studio."
In the much hyped video, the two musical artists arrive separately to a swanky pool party filled with teens who are popping, locking and holding plastic cups that we can only assume are filled with non-alcoholic drinks. Unbeknownst to them, though, they're getting attention from the same girl, a cute brunette who can't seem to make up her mind between the two. She sits on Kingston's lap and caresses his face, then plants a kiss on Bieber and lets him twirl her around. The back and forth continues until Kingston and Bieber finally catch the bad chick by her toe and send her packing, enforcing a long-held rule: bros before "eenie meenie minie mo lover." The dudes are cool with it. Well, they're not cool with her playing them, but they seem to remain friends despite both going for the same girl.
"Eenie Meenie" melds Kingston's island-inflected dance-pop with Bieber's sweet tween R&B. It utilizes the children's rhyme "Eenie Meenie Miny Moe" throughout, especially in the chorus and in the half-sung, half-rapped breakdown. It's one of the first releases of the spring to point toward a more summery sound. Kingston has that singer, rapper, reggae fusion type of style that works perfect with Bieber and his singing. Kingston told MTV that how his collaboration with Bieber came about: "I met Justin about two years ago, before he was the teenage phenom that he is now. I don't really have that same chemistry with some celebrities. God just made it happen." Whoever produced this made a great decision to include Bieber and get all of his fans vibing to the song.

Christina Aguilera Released "Not Myself Tonight"

Christina Aguilera, the sexy, brassy diva of the bunch, is back and dirtier than ever! The pop single has released a insanely hot and video on Vevo for the lead single "Not Myself Tonight" off her forthcoming fourth studio album "Bionic," out June 8 and it is quite provocative. Aguilera shows off her big blonde curls and a sexy dominatrix outfit in her much-anticipated video. "I'm more confident and comfortable in my own skin," she said recently. "I think I'm even a more sexual Christina." A lot of people seem to think that the video is very Gaga or even Madonna inspired.

And rocking various sexy lingeries, latex outfit, dominatrix gear and shows off the different facets of being "Not Myself Tonight."
"It's a very sexy video," she said in an interview with Us Weekly. "It was about different facets of being 'Not Myself'," she added her comment on the video which is filled with racy scenes. Aguilera is a pop-cultural reflection of the world. She breathes in culture just like all of us, but expels [it in] a deliciously fresh and exciting and superior way to all that have come before and all who have come since. Aguilera is the one to beat: beauty, brains, rhythm, voice and charisma to boot! Hopefully next time she steps in front of the lens she'll be more herself and less like everyone else.
