Far East Movement Party It Up In "Live My Life"

East L.A. hip-pop outfit Far East Movement team up with LMFAO's Redfoo dropped a new video for their Justin Bieber-assisted fist-pumping jam "Live My Life," the lead single from the Electro Hop and Hip-Hop quartet's upcoming fourth studio installment "Dirty Bass," coming out on May 8th. The group has bridged the gap between underground party records and mainstream hip-hop and pop since 2003.
The RedOne-produced party anthem is grinding and a little dirty. "We're thrilled to have Justin be a part of Dirty Bass," rapper Kevin Nishimura told RollingStone.com about the club-busting collaboration. "Far East Movement has always focused on unexpected collaborations and mashing up musical genres, which keeps making music exciting. 'Live My Life' is a song we think both Far East Movement and Bieber fans will enjoy together." Talking about the song, he gushed, "We [wanted] to make a song that bridges that gap between the young audience and our audience, and the club audience that pops bottles and gets crazy."
Shot in Amsterdam earlier this month, and Redfoo making his directorial debut, was the man behind the lens. Features dance thumper tune and its "Party Rock remix," the clip follows Far East Movement and Redfoo as they throw a street party and lead a troupe of people to do a flash mob with a bunch of fans in the new video, which carries on the Party Rock vibe, and lots of bright colors and zebra print, and plenty of G6-like shenanigans, but Bieber is nowhere to be found in the visual.
"Word spread quickly that we were shooting the music video around the city. Kids were out of school because of a teacher strike," said Nishimura, who kicks off things by looking over one of the city's many bridges before turning on his boombox and walking the streets to pick up one of his favorite girls. From there, he runs into his electro hop group members, who hit a switch in their mini car and transforms it into a party bus and it's on from there. They're having so much fun that they even get a cranky old man to join in on the party.
