Nerina Pallot Unveiled "All Bets Are Off" Video

Nerina Pallot is kicking 2012 off with a new music video for fan favorite "All Bets Are Off," the third cut and is one of the most soulful, passionate tracks from her stellar fourth studio LP, "Year of The Wolf," in the same she talks about a Love Affair, which showcases her sweet vocals combined with the regret of a failing love affair. The album shows exactly why Pallot is one of the UK's finest and most in-demand songwriters.
Pallot's career to date hasn't exactly been smooth. Written by herself, the new single "All Bets Are Off" has become a live favorite with fans on Pallot's UK tour this year, which strips away all extraneous detail, leaving just Pallot and her piano."'All Bets Are Off' is about the beginning of the end of a love affair," explains the 36-year-old. "When you know its over but you keep hoping for a miracle that never arrives."
Revolving in the languishing string-laced grandeur of strings and classy retro-pop flavors, the track is the crystallization of everything the album stands as a beautiful personification of human emotion and every aspect it can betray of ourselves. As the unexpected little harp refrain creeps in at the tail end of the track, you're left with an intense, aching longing. It's like the last days of Christmas, as the tree comes down and work beckons again - those few dreamy weeks cut short once again.
Beautifully shot with Pallot on horseback, while snow falls quietly around her, the delicate, snowy video makes us wish it was still Christmas, the smell of roast dinner and pine trees wafting through the air. With good company and good cheer warming our hearts. Pallot is currently spending a lot of time in Germany where she starred as a guest mentor on German talent show 'The Voice.' where she was reduced to tears by the performers. This simple and affecting performance should hopefully put Pallot's career back on track.
