Chris Medina Shares Story In "What are Words"

Medina's new song, a powerful ballad and a heartfelt music dedicated to his fiancée Juliana Ramos, who suffered brain injuries in a car accident just before they were scheduled to be married, is primarily made up of old and new footage of Ramos, shots of Medina crying, and footage of Medina crying looking at old pictures of his fiancée. Whatever you may think about the choices he made for the video, there's no denying the genuine emotion in Medina's lyrics. He's stood by her side and his story was so inspiring that his music career has already soared despite not making it on American Idol, and won the hearts of America!
"What Are Words" is a song that tells the story of Medina's everlasting love and support to his fiancée. "The song embodied what I'm going through and the promises that I kept," the 26-year-old contestants told about "What Are Words." "It's a song about making promises and fulfilling them, about telling someone you love that you'll be there and having them be able to count on you because you said it. Because the words that you say really mean something. It's a powerful song."
"That's the biggest gig other than American Idol that I've ever been a part of. I'm hoping to nail it," Medina said. "And after that, I just wanna write music, release it, make people happy - just sing from my heart and do what I love." Medina makes his break during the Milwaukee audition, Medina and his fiancée Ramos's touching story has brought America into tears. By then, Medina becomes one of the judges, critics and viewers favorite. He gives outstanding performances in Hollywood week to his final solo performance, but Medina was cut out to the best of the best 24 semi-finalists.
