Sara Bareilles Premieres 'King Of Anything' Video

Jersey Shore enthusiast Sara Bareilles clearly subscribes to the notion that a picture is worth a thousand words in her music video for bouncy piano-driven tell-off song "King Of Anything" the lead single off her forthcoming sophomore album "Kaleidoscope Heart," which is due out in September.
The Neal Avron-produced tune "King of Anything," manages to ever-so-sweetly punch all of the 'unsolicited advice' Bareilles has ever received in the face since 2007 when 'VH1 You Oughta Know' artist wrote a sarcasm-coated, not-so-romantic "Love Song" that wound up soaring to No.4 on Billboard's Hot 100, and she received two Grammy nominations for her triple platinum selling hit single, and catapulted her to become one of the most interesting and promising new artists of 2009.
A gifted singer and a versatile pianist with no formal training, Bareilles burst onto the pop scene with a naturally skilled voice that ranged from powerful and soulful to sweet and gentle, earning her instant comparisons to Fiona Apple and Norah Jones. Bareilles' vocal range registers from contralto to mezzo-soprano. I like Bareilles's delightful bitterness. "King of Anything," is much like her enormous hit single "Love Song," it's a catchy tune that will certainly burrow itself into your brain. The immensely addictive and charismatic pop driven track featuring her extraordinary vocal prowes. Bareilles has said of the song, "I've had more unsolicited advice on my life than I care to mention, and this was how I dealt with it. It felt empowering to turn that frustration into music, especially a song that doesn't even sound angry. That's sort of what "Love Song" was as well. Apparently, I don't get over things very quickly."
The music video was filmed in Vancouver, Canada, and features the 29-year-old California "Lovesong" singer singing in a number of different places accompanied by a brass band, and appears framed in various photographs throughout the clip while riding on a bus, hanging out in a musical instrument store and dancing around while wearing a ballerina dress in a garden. It's now her turn to be happy and celebrates it in every place she visits.
