Sara Bareilles Dances In "Gonna Get Over You"

Sara Bareilles is notorious for slamming the airwaves with irresistibly catchy love tunes, but as of late, she's been popping out addicting music videos to match. The 'Uncharted' hitmaker channels 'Grease' in her newly released video for her dance-happy "Gonna Get Over You," which was directed by comedian Jonah Hill, who marks his directing debut with this clip, and Bareilles unleashes her inner dancing queen.
The bubbly song "Gonna Get Over You," is the third official single from her sophomore album, "Kaleidoscope Heart," and lyrically the songs speaks about getting over an ex-lover. The track will also sure to make the listener want to tap their foot. The 31-year-old Songstress writes her own material—yes, and keeps things simple and realistic. From her breakout hit, "Love Song," to her heartbreaking ballad, "Gravity," to "Kaleidoscope Heart," it seems like she can really do no wrong—and she seems to stay humble and fun through everything.
The exact visual translation of the chirpy, perky piano tune. With the power of her imagination, Bareilles's transported into a world in which she looks like Skylar Grey and acts like a manic pixie dream girl who can transform surly grocery shoppers looking at corn on the cob into singing, dancing extras with just one shove between the shoulders. Set in a Mexican supermarket, the video is a cute, simple journey of a girl through the aisles who happens to pick up some backup dancers along her way.
Takes it to the street in a badass leather jacket, skin-tight jeans, a sky-rocketing hairdo and a classic car that screams 'Greased Lightning,' the Sing-Off judge shimmies around a grocery store, and then proceeds to have a highly choreographed dance-off with her fellow West Side Story wannabes, While the folks in store are unsuspecting, no one puts up a fight when it comes time to catch the toe-tapping fever. Just one touch from Bareilles, is all it takes and men and women, young and old, are on their feet, shuffling to the choreographed moves in matching clothes right alongside her. Bareilles has been dancing her heart out all by her lonesome, completely imagining the flash mob around her. There's also a hilarious twist ending: sadly, she gets kicked out of the store, but we can't help but love her more than ever.
