Destinee & Paris Show Their "True Love"

The teen pop duo Destinee & Paris recently released the fun and energetic music video for their debut catchy new tune, "True Love," a beach blanket romp which has already been proven to be a hit on YouTube gathering over 425,000 views. "It's all about the beach," Paris siad. "We are on the beach and we go into this dream and it's our version of a beach party. It's like in Madonna's video "Vogue," when you have all the different people doing different sorts of poses, and then you see us and we're on the sand and in front of this amazing background, it's awesome."
Destinee & Paris, a fresh sister duo who recently seceded from their parent group, the legendary Clique Girlz. This stellar pedigree should be enough, but it doesn't hurt to note that Destinee & Paris are also effortlessly hot. It's the second coming of Aly & AJ. The singing sister duo, who hit the road alongside their idol Britney Spears opening on her Femme Fatale tour this summer, and will head back out with Spears for the European leg of the show next month, and admitted to being in awe of the singer's work ethic.
More importantly, their first single, "True Love," is actually a delicious pop nugget. Produced by Rami, Carl Falk, and Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello, "True Love" blends ambient-synth instrumentation with a crunchy, explosive singalong chorus - sounding, variously, like the best parts of Nicole Scherzinger's "Don't Hold Your Breath," Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," and One Direction's incomparable "What Makes You Beautiful" wrapped up in one perfect little confection. "We're really excited about it," Paris said, "It's a fun song and I think a lot of people will be able to relate to it.
Featuring actor Grey Damon as a love interest, the video captures the slick, bright, glossy, sexy moments of summer. "We immediately had a connection with [director] Steven Antin," say the sisters. "He totally gets us, visually and creatively. He's amazing, it was great to work with him." The video is more or less incomprehensible - the narrative is quite muddled, but I think it's vaguely nautical, and there's umbrellas and bright colors and hot boys in tank tops and cute choreography, and overall I'm not mad about it.
