John West Drops "Loved You Tonight" Video

Def Jam R&B Sensation John West premieres the second video for his mellow joint "Loved You Tonight," from soul singer's three-song bundle that marked his Mercury Records debut EP, available on iTunes since August 2nd. True to West's style, the video is simple and easy on both the ears and the eyes. Not to mention, the song showcases West's incredible songwriting skills and acoustic performance skills. So basically, he's like Robin Thicke all over again.
The Louisiana native attended Columbia College in Chicago where he studied English and Art and planned to pursue a career in cartooning. After college, West returned to Los Angeles to focus on his music career. He went on to sell out shows at popular Hollywood venues. West's talent quickly attracted the attention of many record label executives and was signed to Mercury last August. West has been recognized by the LA Times and featured in USA Today as a "pick of the week."
"Loved You Tonight" is so sugary sweet that your teeth are going to rot and you won't even care because you'll still be swooning after the song finishes. Mixing the worlds of R&B, pop and soul perfectly, the rising R&B crooner's melodious tune spotlights West's penchant for simple yet penetrating lyrics: "We don't have to judge each other / We could just be / We could just breathe / Maybe wait and see." West hit us with another visual treat for his song "Loved You Tonight." Taking another shot at romance, West keeps it wholesome in his pursuit this time around.
The video for "Loved You Tonight" just piles on more sweetness as a girl tries to hunt down West in another part of town. The feel-good new summery visual follows his "Lovely" video, which featured Pusha T from G.O.O.D. Music. West kicks it old school for his new video, features Ashley Rich, a contestant from 8th season of So You Think You Can Dance, who is rocking a walkman bumping the song. And a dude break-dancing to the song off his boom-box.
