Shrek & Donkey Released Video For 'Darling I Do'

To celebrate the release of the DreamWorks Animation's "Shrek Forever After" Motion Picture soundtrack collection on May 18 and the movie Shrek The Final Chapter in 3D hits theaters this Friday, the exclusive new video for the new song "Darling I Do" has just premiered on Myspace! Tens of millions of Shrek fans around the world are counting down the days until Friday's premiere. "Shrek Forever After," is the fourth and last installment of the animated powerhouse Shrek franchise. The Oscar-winning animated series has grossed over $2 billion in worldwide box office since its launch in 2001, and its previous three feature film soundtrack albums have sold nearly 4 million copies in the US alone!
The single "Darling I Do" was written and performed by Unsigned singer-songwriter Lucy Schwartz and RCA artist Landon Pigg, off the Shrek Forever After Soundtrack. They are starting a trend of mixing music into their movie dealings. In this great new video, the song transforms both singer's rehearsal studio into Shrek's magical forest - the perfect setting for love to bloom. The duo also recently performed the song on The Tonight Show.
Like its three predecessors, the new "Shrek Forever After" soundtrack album will be a savvy cross-generational mix of tunes by new and established artists. In addition to "Darling I Do," the Shrek Forever After Soundtrack also features tracks from The Carpenters, Scissor Sisters, Lionel Ritchie, and Weezer's cover of "I'm a Believer," as well as appearances by all your favorite Shrek characters. It is available now for download on iTunes, with physical copies sold exclusively at Walmart.
After challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess and saving your in-laws' kingdom, whats an ogre to do? Well, if you're Shrek, you suddenly wind up a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks. Whats happened to this ogre's roar? Longing for the days when he felt like a "real ogre," Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all he's done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.
