CélineDion's "Alone" Is A Power Ballad Cover

Céline Dion... It's almost enough to say her name and there's an instant hit. But when she's singing the enchanting "Alone," she's unstoppable... Dion's beautiful single "Alone" is very spiritual to listen to as her fine vocals exude such a depth of feeling, delivering the meaning behind the poignant lyrics in a way that will leave them resonating in your heart and mind. But you can't help thinking that she wouldn't have to try too hard to get any red-blooded male alone!
Dion's "Alone" is a power ballad cover of the Heart classic with an ambient twist and is produced by Ben Moody (formerly of Evanescence), it became a worldwide hit in 1987. The song was released as the second single in Europe and North America, and third in the UK from her 2007 critically-acclaimed Top 5 platinum studio album "Taking Chances." "Alone" was also covered in the 2009 TV series "Glee" and included on the Glee: The Music, Volume 1. Fabulous notes, great song, terrific music! there is something of the mystique of Dion with "Alone." Pure and simple. And wonderful.
"Alone" induces so many cringes that you'll need a dozen Botox jabs to clear the wrinkles from your face after listening to it. With horrendous lyrics that sound like they were nicked from a Hallmark Valentine's Day card ("But the secret is still my own, and my love for you is still unknown... alone") and Dion showing off her spine-chilling holler in all its terrifying glory, this track is the aural equivalent of a train wreck. Even if she sells another 200 million records, it won't justify this charmless monstrosity.
French-Canadian singer has always been one of those talented singers who cannot fail to be noticed. Rising from humble beginnings in the small town of Charlemagne, Quebec, Dion became one of the biggest international stars in pop music history, selling more than 100 million albums worldwide. Dion's longest tenure on the pop charts would come in 1997, when she recorded "My Heart Will Go On," the theme song for James Cameron's blockbuster movie "Titanic." The song became omnipresent on the radio as "Titanic" fever swept the world, and by then, Dion had the power to gather a supporting cast of stars, and bring her a whole new world of fans.
Although Dion has been performing in her record-breaking Las Vegas engagement for the past five years, which has been documented on the DVD "A New Day: Live in Las Vegas," it has been close to ten years since she last toured the globe. But if there's just one certainty in this uncertain world, it is that Dion will never cease to be loved and will never be Alone...
