Zoë Badwi Unleashed UK Video For "Freefallin'"

Aussie dance-pop starlet Zoë Badwi had a club hit with "Release Me" across Europe last year, and is certainly working hard to make a name for herself outside of the dance music community. She's now back with the UK edit of the video for her more pop oriented single, "Freefallin'," which is bound to be another success story in the clubs, as well as blasting across the radio waves and making a thunderous storm up the club and dance music charts. The video is a simple affair with Badwi being handcuffed by gay dancers in a flooded sewer but she looks pretty and it's good to know that studded jackets are making a comeback.
In a stark contrast to the hands-in-the-air club vibe of "Release Me," Badwi takes "Freefallin'" in more of a light bouncy electro Euro direction. And it suits her vocals just as much as "Release Me" does. Penned by English singer/songwriter Amy Pearson and produced by Aussie club duo Denzal Park, the track gently nudges Badwi out of her dance music comfort zone into the radio friendly world of pure pop. You can tell Pearson had her fabulous butterfingers all over this. The lyrics are relentlessly upbeat and the chorus is an absolute monster.
with an incredibly powerful, heady vocal, "Freefallin'" is both bright and uplifting packing a punch from the very first listen. What lifts "Freefallin'" into a triumphant pop moment is Badwi's emotionally charged vocal performance and positive, life-affirming lyrics that will breeze their way into your heart. Whilst Badwi sings of liberating yourself from heartbreak and leaving the past behind, the anthemic piano-laden backing pushes the track into a fantastic singalong chorus. This is celebratory dancefloor magic, tinged with the inspiration of stepping out into the unknown and loving every minute of it!
After a slow start to the year, the Australian pop scene has caught fire with a bunch of hot new tracks on the way from some of our favorite divas. She has finally struck gold with "Freefallin'," which is a certified dancefloor-filling stomper with 100% crossover potential that clearly demonstrates she has the vocal pipes & charisma to be a major international star. Badwi's catchy and uplifting vocals quickly take up residency in your head, and you'll be humming along before you know it.
