Emily Osment Gets Futuristic In "Lovesick" Video

Disney child star Emily Osment's premiered music video leaked two weeks early for her new single "Lovesick," the lead track and second single, from her debut studio album "Fight or Flight," which hits stores on October 5. A few weeks ago, Osment announced plans for a photo contest for her single, "Lovesick," asking fans to submit their own "lovesick" faces. Fans that participated were told they could be featured in an upcoming video and now that promise has become a reality.
"Love Sick," has a catchy dance beat, which is what the teen star was trying for. She previously tweeted about the release of her new album saying as soon as it's released, "dancing should commence immediately." In "Lovesick," Osment compares uncontrollable love to the feeling of a nonstop party. The Hannah Montana star takes a departure from the pop rock sound she displayed on previous hit singles like "All The Way Up," and "You Are the Only One," opting instead for a much more club-friendly, electro-infused approach. It's precisely this electrified sound that gives the song its persistent and infectious energy.
The new video is very different from anything we have seen from Osment in the past. The Hannah Montana star gets futuristic in her new music video for "Lovesick," and she literally lights up in this new video from the making of her music video, "Lovesick." The 18-year-old singer revealed about the idea behind the video, Osment explained, "My entire idea for the music video was based around a robot concept about robot love and how love is universal and all that."
Osment rose to fame playing Lilly Truscott on the popular Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" alongside Miley Cyrus, and she has actually been making music almost as long as she's been acting. As she takes her fans along her adrenaline-fueled ride, we find the songstress truly wrapped up in a very serious kind of love. If you're into high-energy dance pop songs, you're in for a treat. "Lovesick" features Osment's sultry vocals and a beat that just won't quit. The 18-year-old singer experiments with rounds in the song, which has a super cool effect on the overall track. Those of you whole love the Disney star's edgy vibe will have plenty to grab onto here, but instead of rock jams, Osment's churning out club bangers now. "Fight or Flight." The choice is yours. Osment has already made hers.
