Michele de Wilton Debuts "Myths and Legends"

New Age composer, pianist and storyteller Michele de Wilton has recently released her debut studio album, "Myths and Legends." In this new era of conscious entertainment, one would be challenged to find more positive music than her mystically beautiful album. Hailed as "New Age piano at its best" by industry veterans. It attracts critical acclaim, Radio airplay and national retail distribution now.
The inspirational, transporting and melodic new age album includes her stunning work of 13 original compositions conveying compelling stories with 55 minutes of sophisticated and soothing music share both well-known and obscure tales from around the world, and sure that will inspire the imaginations for piano music fans of all ages. The stories behind each of the 13 intriguing tales are explained at the "Musical Journey" page on the artist's beautiful interactive website.
Ohio-based mother of two and lifelong pianist has always been fascinated with the piano as a way of giving voice to her emotions. Since that time, piano composition has been an integral part of her life. I like to try out many new artists and music genres, and I have to say de Wilton is an extremely and incredibly talented new age piano composer! She creates beautiful melodic compositions that are dramatic, relaxing, full of emotion and lush with tales of love, yearning and adventure that transport the listener away from daily routines which soothe you during times of stress.
Below you will find one of the tracks off her album, a lover of performance, the pianist herself is featured in a popular music video of "The Ice Maiden," a Norse myth and sophisticated interpretations of classic tales, which tells the story of Gerda, a frost goddess whose beauty enchanted Freyr, god of sunshine and rain. But Gerda refused to meet the god until Freyr's servant threatened to put an unbreakable spell on her. Freyr, however, was able to thaw her heart. The music is brought full circle to reflect Gerda's serenity when she comes to love her new husband.
