The sexy Georgian country-pop Jessie James debuted two music video for "Boys In the Summer" on Friday as a part of CMT Big New Music Weekend. The special videos are aimed to promote the country mix of the song, while the other is to support the pop version. "Boys In the Summer" was produced by John Fields and is the lead single from her upcoming sophomore studio album, is a refreshing reminder of the singer's unique ability to blend pop music tropes with rollicking country guitars to create a sound that's truly her own.
"Boys in the Summer" is one of those rare tracks that seem to capture everything good and pure about summer. The 22-year-old Georgia stunner James in case you hadn't heard is on the cusp of becoming country music's next 'it' girl, after having garnered critical and popular acclaim with her debut eponymous EP, which came out in 2009. The music video was shot on May 18 and directed by Roman White, who's previously shot several videos for Carrie Underwood. Taylor Swift, as well as Kelly Clarkson. The two music videos are similar, highlighting the joy in summer when the boys go shirtless and the girls come out in shorts. Under the shining sun, they are seen frolicking on the grass and swimming in the lake, not to mention selling lemonade on the front yard. It's a great fun clip, but the song itself is even better.
