Whitney Duncan Is On The "Right Road Now"

Nashville Star Whitney Duncan premiered a special video for the song & title track "Right Road Now" on AOL's The Boot in support of her new major Warner Bros label debut album, which is set to hit stores this coming Tuesday, April 20. The video will be available to all digital partners and available for purchase on iTunes the same day as album release. I really like this one and hope it does well on the charts for her.

Born in the small Tennessee town of Scotts Hill, which might explain the blues-rock edge heard in her songs. Duncan developed a passion for music as a child and was soon singing in church, expanding to performing at local talent shows, fairs, and festivals, and even traveling to neighboring states like Kentucky and Missouri to sing at events. In her late teens, country music icon Kenny Rogers asked Duncan to duet on "My World Is Over," which she wrote. Furthermore, establishing her songwriting abilities, she penned songs for LeAnn Rimes, Crystal Shawanda and Lee Ann Womack to name a few. Duncan shows a depth and vocal prowess in her songwriting that most young women can only dream of achieving.
After joining forces with producers Mark Bright and John Shanks, Duncan attracted label interest from Warner Bros., and the trio's work together resulted in her debut album, and she co-wrote every single song on "Right Road Now." Duncan is an intriguing voice in contemporary country music, and she didn't say "I want to be a country music singer" with her very first words, but she might as well have.
