Jennifer Hudson | "This Isn't Love" (Video)

Jennifer Hudson was born on September 12, 1981 in Chicago. She was struggled to gain popularity in the early stages of American Idol's 3rd season in 2004, and finishing the competition in 7th place. Post 'Idol', however, Jennifer made her film debut in the 2006 film "Dreamgirls" and won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award, among many others.
"If This Isn't Love" is the 2nd single from Jennifer's eponymous debut album, "Jennifer Hudson". Her voice is smoothed out through the fluttery "If This Isn't Love", nearly unrecognizable until the point where she belts. If This Isn't Love' succeeds at sounding completely modern without eschewing the standard adult-contemporary song structure that's tailor-made for pipes like her. Jennifer sings soulfully, with recent events making the lyrics particularly resonant. Combining modish beats with a cool, breezy chorus.

Jennifer shot a music video for the track in Los Angeles on January 26, 2009 with director Diane Martel. The video premiered February 11, 2009 on AOL, Entertainment Tonight, and 106 & Park. Jennifer made history with "If This Isn't Love" when it earned its 2nd consecutive week at #1 on the Urban Adult Radio Charts. Jennifer joins a group of only 5 other women in urban adult history to reach this accomplishment. I also like Jennifer's single "Spotlight" and "Invisible".

Ingrid Michaelson | "Breakable" (Video)

Ingrid Michaelson (born 8 December 1979) is a New York-based indie-pop singer-songwriter, is out with a brand new video "Breakable" on Cabin 24 today. Seeing as that tomorrow is Valentine's Day, perhaps it's only appropriate that Ms. love song herself. Ironically however, "Breakable", the 3rd track from her 2nd studio albuma "Girls and Boys" off 2007, directed by Josh Forbes, isn't something you'll want to be playing for you significant other this time tomorrow.

Much like 2007's smash hit, "The Way I Am", the video for "Breakable" is fairly low key, mostly featuring the Brooklyn based singer/songwriter walking around town as she sings about obtainable love, though considering how gorgeous Ingrid is. But hey, it's catchy and pleasant, and at the very least, provides some nice background music as your trudging through your Friday. A few songs of the album have been featured in the TV series, such as "Grey's Anatomy" and "One Tree Hill". The "Breakable" was also featured in "Staring at the Sun", and "The Real World: Denver".

Carrie Underwood | "I Told You So" (Live)

Carrie Underwood (born March 10, 1983 in Oklahoma) is the winner of the 4th season of American Idol in 2005, since then Carrie has become one of the most popular performers in the nation. Carrie is currently climbing the country airplay charts with her most recent smash, "I Told You So" which is the 5th and final single released from her 2nd studio album "Carnival Ride" today.

This music video for the single was during a performance at the Grand Ole Opry House on March 15, 2008. Carrie was invited by her idol, the songwriter Randy Travis, who sneaked up on her as she was finishing her version of Travis' song "I Told You So", to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Before the performance, she states that "I Told You So" has always been "one of her favorites growing up". After the performance, Randy comes out from the back of the stage and compliments Carrie.
Other favorite from Carrie? "Don't Forget to Remember Me", "So Small", "Do You Hear What I Hear?", "Before He Cheats", "Just a Dream" and "Wheel Of The World". Find more at her Fansite and MySpace.
