He replied: "The song's also reflective of us on the road, away from home and our families. But I do think creative people, in general, are romantic by nature." The Dublin trio impress once again with this heart-rending tale of love and loss, all the while showing that their hearts are as big as their choruses. Subtle hip hop inflections lend the lovelorn track a contemporary edge.
In the video, we watch the Irish outfit perform inside a circle of folding chairs representative of an alcoholics anonymous meeting or the like. This is intercut with the story of a woman being trapped in a world she can’t leave, but a loving stranger on the subway decides to step in and take her to a meeting to get help. The song is so touching on its own, and the accompanying video definitely does the lyrics justice.

David Guetta & Nicki Minaj Unveil "Turn Me On"

Taking a pile of machinery and building the rap superstar, David Guetta flips Nicki Minaj's switch and literally turns her on in the pair's new video for a steampunk-inspired affair "Turn Me On," the fifth single from French disc jockey's fifth studio album "Nothing but the Beat." and the song will be also featured on Trinidadian raptress's upcoming sophomore CD, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded."
The uptempo club song, with heavy beats features Minaj singing the chorus with her own (maybe slightly auto-tuned) pipes. Guetta told UK newspaper The Sun: "People don't really know her as a singer and she's killing it on that track. People know her for her crazy rapping but that shows what she can do as a singer. Sometimes I meet people by accident or they call me up but with Minaj it was me chasing her. For a year I wanted to work with her and she was hard to reach. But the moment we got into the studio and had the music it was great."
It's cool that Guetta is going for a little bit of a different sound, but different for him sounds like what everybody else is doing in the dance music world. Still, having Minaj sing makes the tune worthwhile, even if “sing” must be used in quotes because of all the voice-processing. The best results come when Guetta mercilessly rips artists from their comfort zone - take Minaj in songbird mode on "Turn Me On," which showcases a suspiciously melodic performance by the calmer side of Harajuku Barbie, with massive hooks that somehow let her make the transition from freak to diva.
Guetta plays a mad scientist creating his very own Minaj from scrap parts in the Sanji-directed ‘Frankenstein’ feel promo, which opens on Guetta trying out some early cosmetic-surgery tacticsin an old-school lab, putting the final touches on his Minaj doll plans, and unleashes it onto the world as she slowly transforms into the very human-looking Minaj. The clip ends with Minaj continuing her journey through town, as other female dolls make their escape chasing after Minaj.

Feist Debuts Cinematic "The Bad In Each Other"

Last year marked a fine return to form for Canadian indie songstress Feist with her fourth powerful post-blues LP "Metals," and now the fantastic album opener “The Bad in Each Other” has a beautifully somber video, which build towards the song's climax with explosions of emotion, from the joyous fireworks careening through the air to the intimate connections between lovers and friends. Feist makes an appearance as well, walking through the streets, looking slightly dejected.
Tangled long-term relationships is the topic of this opening cut. The 35-year-old sings about how, "a good man and a good woman bring out the worst in the other and also that she and her lover, "had the same feelings at opposite times." Feist was in a long-term relationship with Kevin Drew when she recorded the album, but rather than being about their partnership, the song appears to have been inspired by observing what happens to other couples she was friends with. The singer explained to The Observer how she noticed that after a few years together, its often the case that they are unable to see each other clearly anymore.
Even the simplest life has its wrenching complexities. Feist's new video for stompy folk-blues "The Bad in Each Other" captures the tiny dramas that comprise everyday life without explaining its characters' motivations, how they got to where they are, or whether they're interconnected at all. The somber figures populating this video's universe just are - experiencing intense emotions of despair, frustration, elation, companionship - as the soft-pop sweetheart winds through dusty scenes shot with cinematic perfection in Mexico by director Martin De Thurah.
Feist posted a statement on her website with a mess of feelings is really the point: “This video captures glimpses of something human, we get a peek inside something real between people - could be loss, longing and love. A lot of things which is about being a human being.... It is told in a way where it opens up more aspects than it concludes. Maybe something we can't grasp, but it points at it or touches it and leaves us with mixed emotions. You could think about the video like a song or a poem, and different people will connect to different things- and those connections might be different from time to time when they watch it."

Florence + The Machine unveiled a searing new live video for their latest creation "Lover to Lover," the most soulful track from English indie pop band's newly released sophomore record "Ceremonials." According to their official website, the frontwoman Florence Welch wants listeners to get lost in their songs, telling, "It's something overwhelming and all-encompassing that fills you up, and you're either going to explode with it, or you're just going to disappear."
While the majority of Florence + The Machine's music videos tend to lean toward the theatrical side, the powerhouse singer's visual for "Lover To Lover" concentrates less on fancy camera work and more on capturing raw talent delivered during a flawless performance. Evanescence have just released the new video for their uptempo rock ballad "My Heart Is Broken," is the official second single from American hard rock band's eponymous self-titled third album. Lee revealed that the song was written after seeing victims of sex trafficking. Lee explained: "A good friend of mine heads up an organization in New York that rescues victims of sex trafficking. My husband and I got involved and were really moved and horrified. As I was writing the song I was putting myself in that place - what would it be like to be trapped? Threatened? Alone? Vancouver songbird Louise Burns is excited to unleash her new music video to her single "Drop Names Not Bombs," the second single off 26-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter's solo debut full-length, "Mellow Drama," which is beautifully nostalgic in its sound and utterly modern in its sensibility, and culminated in its inclusion on the long list for Canada's Polaris Music Prize.
Burns, formerly a member of the band Lillix, has been building quite a buzz up in Canada for her sweet, country-tinged alt-pop. "Mellow Drama" is a well-crafted, precise record filled with tracks that both communicate the very singular experience of a thoughtful songwriter while also transcending the personal entirely. With a warm, strong, clear voice-like Patsy Cline's almost, but with less sadness, Burns writes songs about love, loneliness and most importantly, her own experience. Directed by Catherine Lutes, the video centers around a creepy drunken karaoke party gone spooky featuring Burns' close pals in her current city of residence Toronto. It reminds us of many a night out except a lot less sloppy. The clip was shot under the guise of "getting her friends drunk and doing karaoke," but that's not to say "Drop Names Not Bombs" is isn't without its darker edges. Burns notes the video's underlying creepiness, saying that "the contrast between brightness and creepiness unintentionally reflects the song as well, which sounds like a happy pop jam but was actually written from a pretty dark place."
"We liked the idea of doing a 'fun' video, as in getting our friends drunk and doing karaoke, but also tapping into a darker side; where something feels a bit off, kind of like the little girl in Poltergeist watching static on her TV," Burns explains. "In our case, there's a poltergeist in the karaoke video in the form of me (haha). The contrast between brightness and creepiness unintentionally reflects the song as well, which sounds like a happy pop jam but was actually written from a pretty dark place."

The electro hop and happycore song is an anthem to her female haters, the voluptuous rapper bounces and jiggles about and even throws in some falsetto singing in the end for good measure.
With director Hype Williams providing all the epilepsy-inducing strobes of his recent fare, the colorful and frenetic video features a handful of wild animals but none wilder than the 29-year-old eccentric rapper herself, who is in full Barbie mode and rhymes through the clip in a rainbow of pastel-hued makeup, oft-buggy eyes, assorted outfits with her signature pink wig and prosthetic body parts, and she even gets a little ferocious, morphing into a caged tiger.
Young Money's first lady gets up to her usual crazy antics, donning bright colored outfits and hair and make-up, while pulling strange faces. As she spews her rapid-fire rhymes, the shot changes to a wavy pink-wigged Minaj in the driver's seat of a hot pink convertible. Still, at least the production allows her to showcase that breathless rapping style, which is still something she does better than anyone. With the sexy, bubblegum effect of the video, it's almost easy to forget that the track throws a few harsh words at her female critics.
The animated Barbie rocks a closetful of wild and wacky looks in the explicit clip which perfectly matches for Minaj's manic stage persona. Minaj brings her signature wide-eyed facial expressions and frantic eye blinking to a brightly colored set filled with robotic female dancers. The rapper rips into any "stupid hoe" who tries to cross her while sporting pastel face paints and bending her body into contortionist poses. Minaj's gimmick is getting way past old now, but people really enjoy her music videos. The Young Money rapper will likely perform at Super Bowl alongside headliner Madonna.

Estelle Tells A Story Of Love Lost In "Thank You"

"The idea was to show how Naleigh changed our lives, Josh's life specifically," Heigl's directorial effort made it a family affair. The family's home clip opens with Kelley doing a performance with his band. Halfway through it, home footage of the couple's special moments with their daughter is flashed on the screen. It includes the one which sees the threesome enjoying a warm summer day and frolicking in the park. This latest offering pertinently demonstrates that she's heading in the right direction.

The Denton, Texas, foursome is still riding high on and having enjoyed immense success this past year with their catchiest country single "Crazy Girl," that topped charts for the latter half of 2011, "Even if it Breaks Your Heart" has a lot of expectations to live up to.
Instantly familiar, the new tune gets a heartwarming and aesthetically-pleasing video treatment. It was difficult not to slobber with envy when we saw that wall full of "beat up, old guitars." This track is strongly reminiscent of their first release back in 2002. The soft rhythmic guitar intro reminds me a lot of "Show You How To Love Again," and as always, Mike Eli's voice resonates smooth, honest, and full of soul that is both surprising and comforting. Filmed in Gruhn Guitars in downtown Nashville with the feel of a classic American country rock song, the Brian Lazzaro-directed video flashes between the band performing live in the shop and young people searching for fame and fortune in Nashville. It starts with what looks like a flashback of two young boys peeking and playing drums in the guitar shop, an older, more tattered guitar man from outside the shop comes into the shop to sell his guitar, as though he's just given up on the dream. But as he stands there with the fresh cash in hand, the boy comes up and gets him to autograph one of his records. And that changes everything. Inspired by this glimmer of a memory, the man hands back the money and picks his dream back up with a newfound hope.
"It's the message and the story of the band," drummer Chris Thompson told CMT. "It's twofold. Lyrically, the story relates to what the four of us have been through, developing our career - slowly, gradually building this thing. But the underlying message of the storyline is hope and optimism. We've always had a lot of hope and optimism in what we've done, and we've always believed in ourselves and tried to keep pushing to see what's around the corner. We're shooting for the next biggest thing, and I think that's the key to our success over a long amount of time together."

Shot last month in Franklin, TN, the TK McKamy-directed clip stars Tyler Hilton and his real-life girlfriend and actress, Megan Park. It opens with Tom singing about that moment of a budding relationship where a guy instantly regrets not making the move to kiss the girl he just had a great evening with and by the end of the chorus, he goes to the door and she's there waiting for him to kiss her. Reinert sings her verse by telling her story of the butterfly-inducing moment of the relationship. It's an effective telling of how a first kiss can be a nervous affair but in the end it is those nervous moments that make life worth living.

Together they make ambient dream-folk music with melodic bass lines and beautiful sax that has an excellent sound and great lyrics.
The EP. a dreamy and ambient piece in every sense of the word, is very relaxing from beginning to finish with both Morris and Roberts showcasing their vocal and instrumental talents evenly throughout. "Underground Love" opens the album with a soft electric guitar that echoes throughout the background. Everything about this band, right down to the album title that evokes a sense of longing and lost, is beautifully sensitive. The video fits the song perfectly.
The Harrison Sanborn-directed video depicts the journey of a tiny package as it travels from various hands until it reaches its final destination into the possession of a dashing lady in red. The sound of frontman Roberts' soft vocals sets a dreamy tone throughout the video up to its lighthearted ending. New York-based indie pop band FUN. have dropped a beautifully-made music video for "We Are Young." The first must-see music video of 2012 is a gorgeous, gasp-inducing thing, a swirling, slow-motion snow globe of imagery that gradually envelops the band, and guest vocalist Janelle Monáe, who recorded her vocals in Europe then sent them over to the band, who later in the year supported the singer on her Campus Consciousness Tour. This, apparently, is what FUN. looks like.

"Call It What You Want" is a melange of increasingly creepier images set to the band's characteristically up-tempo indie pop. It finds frontman Mark Foster singing about how in today's society, people are too ready to conform instead of being themselves and doing their own thing. It's probable the song was influenced by the band's irritation with the music industry's attempts to pigeonhole them.
Foster and his bandmates find themselves suddenly living in a mansion in the Ace Norton-directed clip, where, to say the least, they don't quite seem at ease. The imagery includes Foster shooting six female fans, whose shirts spell out "Foster," with his hand in the shape of a gun. Norton explained its concept: "The video is about the void you create in our life when you have everything you want. How with success, people tend to fill that void with meaningless things. The new video for "Call It What You Want" is the most lavish of their young career. On one hand, the clip, with its nondescript gaggle of female fans and Hollywood mansion setting, seems to be making a statement about the band's new-found fame following the surprise success of their Top 10 summer smash "Pumped Up Kicks." While on the other, there's just a whole lot of creepiness, with no rhyme or reason, going down.

The TriffidMs' Masterpiece Album "Calenture"

It's been in my collection for years and my estimation of it does nothing other than continually increase. "Calenture" is Australian indie band The Triffids' masterpiece. The depth of the songwriting and its observations, and the overall pace of the album all indicate that their lead vocalist David McComb, was an intense artist of the most elite caliber. Formed in Perth, Western Australia in the late 70s, The Triffids achieved some international success in the 1980s, notably in Britain.
The dictionary definition of "Calenture" is, once you have listened to the album a few times, a fairly good description of the major themes running through it. Like all The Triffids' albums, "Calenture" is not an easy album to appreciate, that may be because the production is more polished, for the depth and intricacy of the late McComb's lyrics have hardly changed at all. Indeed, if calenture the delirium is all about the effect of heat on the senses, then "Calenture" the album is all about the effect of passion on reason.
Thematically "Calenture" follows on from "Born Sandy Devotional" by being concerned with, in McComb's words, unrequited love. It would be a relaxed affair, completely low-fi, and maybe "not suitable for the likes of Virgin." Its lyrical tone is one of euphoric fantasy and delusion tempered with the deflationary confrontation of a lonely reality - tenderness and compassion wed bitterness and resentment. An ineffable sadness runs throughout this album as the singer's spiritual faith in human love remains unfulfilled.
The Triffids were never labeled as a Christian band, but there's an undeniably spiritual feel to several of the songs on their most opulent and ambitious album, "Calenture." Moreover, McComb spews his words with the fiery passion of a backwoods preacher. The striking images in "Calenture" illustrate the predicaments of each song's characters. This mixing of the dark and the light side of love and relationships features elsewhere and is a hallmark of the lyrical depth and subtlety of this album. The Triffids remain one of Australia's best-loved, post-punk groups.

The Fray are apparently still kicking around the music industry with their new music video for "Heartbeat," the first single off of the American Piano-Rock band's upcoming third album, "Scars And Stories," finds us revisiting familiar The Fray tearjerker territory. Though it's cleverly hidden beneath the sweeping sounds of orchestral drums and rock guitars, "Heartbeat" is driven by a gorgeous piano melody. Lead vocalist Isaac Slade's voice is in top form, and he demonstrates his massive range while singing about the best way to love someone.
It's been a tough couple of years for The Fray die-hards. The Colorado foursome hasn't put out a new record since the alt-rock troupe matured into deeper emotional territory on their Grammy-nominated 2009 self-titled sophomore album. Despite some obvious similarities to past works, "Heartbeat" is serious kind of heavy lyric with a big, upbeat energy and he capitalized on that energy with a bit more rock-driven, a catchy chorus, a nice mixture of Slade's melodic falsetto and quirky lower range, and a driving beat to back up the power chords.
Slade penned the song with guitarist Joe King. It was inspired by the singer's experiences whilst traveling in Africa about the awful carnage and the remarkable way in which the survivors are recovering. He explained: "That song came out of a period of my life when I was trying hard to be open to whatever came my way. I traveled through South Africa and Rwanda with a buddy, and at first it was really hard to stay open in the face of so much pain and heartache. But then I ended up meeting so many cool and inspiring people, and all these ideas for lyrics and melodies just started rushing in."
Shot on the beach at Los Angeles, the Justin Francis-directed beach themed video features the boys in the band ride out to the water and carry their gear down to the shore during a care-free night on the beach and performing bonfire-side for a crowd of crunchy-chic ladies and dudes while scary-huge waves crash in the background. The original concept was to shoot the clip with a sunny beach look but when a fog rolled in, it looked like the filming would have to be aborted for the day. Francis says he aimed to capture the spirit of a group of people "enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime evening together."

The soft-focus production finds 33-year-old R&B/Pop singer hooking up with Bedingfield. Colon penned the track with former Evanescence member David Hodges, who also co-wrote his winner's song on The Voice, "Stitch By Stitch." Bedingfield told Artist Direct what spoke to her about the song: "It's quite a realistic and relatable love story, and that's what spoke to me about the song. Looks like those "100" kisses finally wore off. Backstreet Boy Howie D looked pretty perky in his debut solo clip a few weeks ago while watching that lady dance all sassy-like around his house. Not so much now with the premiere of his video for "Lie To Me," the second single off of the singer's debut solo album, "Back To Me," is a sweepingly fanciful song about heartbreak and loss.
"Lie To Me," is a slower track that closely resembles some of Backstreet's more classic pop ballads. "At the time [I was putting the album together]," Howie D tells Entertainment Weekly, "I was really in this positive place in life, had lots of energy, between Backstreet-New Kids and my family. So a lot of the album is dance and up-tempo [music]. But there's definitely also the crooner ballads that people would know me for."
The Cazhhmere-directed visual was put together in Toronto, and features Canadian pop-rock quartet Neverest and tells the story of Howie D as he is reeling from a break-up as he's about to shoot his music video. Howie D goes the devastation route in his new clip, looking pained and forlorn while gushing to the camera and really showing us the meaning of being lonely. "Nobody told me we were too young/Nobody told me we couldn't love," he sadly croons during the devastation ballad's crushing chorus.
The black and white clip shows Howie D trying his best to stay busy on a set, responding to a lengthy text message breakup? with a broad statement resembling something of an invitation to chat. But talking is easier said than done, as he still gets distracted by instruments, inviting performance spaces and his compulsion to give artistic notes to any surrounding crew members, so he'll settle for singing his way out of this one. Released as the second single from her sixth studio album "Talk That Talk," "You Da One" is a mid-tempo pop and electropop song with elements of other musical genres, including dancehall and reggae, and it has simple lyrics talking about a comfortable relationship. The song starts in traditional Rihanna territory with building on a slow, skanking rhythm, expands with a starbursty chorus, then contracts nearly as quickly on a knotty, ratcheting middle, and also features a dubstep bridge before the final chorus.

After capturing the hearts of the nation as the first ever girl band to reach the final of the competition two weeks ago, Little Mix have released the music video for their debut single "Cannonball." The stunning and emotive track and their X Factor winner's single is a cover of Irish folk singer Damien Rice's song. The video itself takes an emotional look back at the X Factor journey from the moment they were put together to their victorious win, but many have noted the lack of any new footage whatsoever.
Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock all entered The X Factor this year as solo artists. They were given a second chance at the final stage of boot camp when the judges decided to form a new girl group, and Little Mix was born. David Guetta Riffs On 'Super 8' In "Titanium"

For the music video for "Titanium," the first of three promotional singles and the fourth single off of his fifth album "Nothing But The Beat," David Guetta takes a dip into the cinematic and recruits "Super 8" star Ryan Lee for another supernatural tale. The single features vocals by Australian pop singer-songwriter Sia Furler. The most intriguing hook-up on the album, "Titanium" sees Guetta giving the Aussie songstress some long overdue commercial appeal, while Sia's vocals bring a quirky twist.
"Titanium" is a strong, light and corrosion-resistant metallic element. "Titanium" alloys are used in aircraft, armor plating, missiles, naval ships and spacecraft. clever writing from Sia. "Titanium" is an emotional near-ballad which draws from the genres of pop, house and urban-dance. The song's lyrics are about inner strength. Sia's vocals on "Titanium" received comparisons to those by Fergie and the song was also musically compared to Coldplay's work. Critics were positive towards the song and noted it as one of the standout tracks from "Nothing but the Beat."
Guetta once explained: "That song is interesting because it's different from anything else on the album. All of the guests on the album are from pop and R&B, and 'Titanium' is a little bit like a UFO flying over it all because Sia is a more of an indie artist. I think she's the only white girl on the record [Laughs]. I fell in love with the song. At first, she wrote that song and demoed it. She wanted to give it to another artist, but I felt her voice is so incredible and the song is so emotional that I really wanted her to stay on it. The song also uses some acoustic elements which is very different from what I usually do. I think it makes it very interesting."
The video features a high schooler (played by Lee) running for his life after accidentally exposing his hidden power at his school. As the Sia-assisted single revs up, Lee's character slowly makes his way through a deserted, totally destroyed school hallway, eyeing a teacher who's stricken with fear. Earlier this year, the post-dubstep British crooner James Blake unveiled his self-titled debut album beloved by listeners, with delicate tastes and aesthetic sensibilities, and maybe read interviews in which he talked about the evolution of dubstep and pointed out the anti-testosterone current running through his music. But now, there is a clip to compliment the emotional roller coaster that this delicate piano ballad takes us on.
But 2011 is not over, and Monday, Blake released a striking music video that accompanies his beautiful rendition of Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You." His version first got attention back in February, when he covered it for the BBC, but this take is all cleaned up and very crisp sounding. Mitchell recorded "A Case of You" in 1971 from her album "Blue," during her early folk period, and it is one of her most well-known songs. Gathering a life of its own, the track gained critical acclaim and was added to the Blake's recent EP "Enough Thunder," as well.
Known for producing warped, woozy bass-led bouts of electronic introspection, Blake's debut album demonstrated a different side to his output. Covering Feist, the producer had a clear love for songwriting in a classic sense. Nothing makes it quite as comforting to wallow in our romantic woes around the holidays quite like Mitchell. The 23-year-old Blake has a similar knack for making sad songs we love, just in a more robot-who-can-feel kind of way.
Shot in London last week, it was directed by film-maker Seb Edwards, and featuring actress Rebecca Hall. The camera follows a young woman around her flat, seemingly documenting one side of a claustrophobic and turbulent relationship, and looks alternately sad and happy, and everything in between. The video features a first-person view from a lover's perspective, watching a relationship through a graceful fast-forward as cast in a one-bedroom apartment. It really makes us think about past lovers, just in time for the holidays.

Blige breaks down how women can spot the Mr. Wrong in their own lives. Co-produced by Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, the midtempo cut "Mr. Wrong" will serve as the follow-up to the lead single "25/8." "It's an extremely soulful song that expresses the true level of love that a woman can have for a man who simply is no good for her," Love tells Rap-Up.com. "I wrote it because in many ways I am Mr. Wrong." The video's glamour treatment suits the mellow and dramatic mood of the song.

It's only fitting that singer-songwriter Nicole Atkins' ethereal "Hotel Plaster" has an other-worldly music video. In preparation of their upcoming singles collection, electro-pop icons Goldfrapp has released a brand new track and accompanying music video for "Yellow Halo" from the U.K. electronic duo's forthcoming greatest hits LP "The Singles," will release on February 7th, a day after the collection arrives overseas via Astralwerks.
Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory are five albums into their career as Goldfrapp, meaning it's just about the right time to release a retrospective of their work together. The new LP "The Singles," is a career-spanning collection and will featuring two new tracks: the introspective and defiant new wave ballad "Melancholy Sky" and the aforementioned slow building synth-pop wonder "Yellow Halo." The other 12 tracks are comprised of singles from the entire Goldfrapp discography. Best characterized by Alison's soft, breathy sorano vocals , Will's multi-laters synth/string arrangements, the band have amassed a strong following over their 12-year career.
Their songs can be considered party anthems, fragile lullabies or plain experimental. Unlike most Goldfrapp songs, the synthed-out, intensifying "Yellow Halo," is euphoric and strung up somewhere in-between the earlier electro grooves the band practiced and the latter folky excursions on their fourth album "Seventh Tree." The song itself seems rather sentimental and tame but, as always, Alison's insane vocals are perfectly rendered.
The homemade clip for "Yellow Halo," was shot entirely on the road by British electro-pop band associate Lisa Gunning using only her iPhone, and mostly full compiled of footage of Alison traipsing around South America, and features concert footage and documentary footage of the band on the road, with Alison spends spare moments off stage bathing in glitter and eating little cakes, as well as atop a horse in the wilds of Buenos Aires. In this "indie" video, the wistful vibes and road-weary imagery seem to fit the tone of the song.

Hailing from Canada, The 33-year-old Alternative country songstress has been honing her craft for some time. Wayne drops a wink-nudge verse about getting blitzed, but it's B.o.B who lights up with a charming, tenacious flow. It definitely has a catchy, melodic chorus, but the rhymes hit hard, and the two voices and sensibilities blend well. Lyrically, the song is focused on self-promotion and dismissal of any haters.
B.o.B told Billboard magazine he chose the album title to reflect his maturity as an artist. "It's reflective of the growth, and how my perspective has changed. And 'Strange Clouds' is like a hybrid, the sci-fi with the organic. It's all about art, it's all about music, and I feel like this album is going to be a classic." He said the track was originally just something he wanted to rhyme on: "'Strange Clouds' could mean a variety of things from lacunosus clouds to unidentified flying objects to puffs of the most exotic of plants. He wanted to get an artist on it who could really bring that idea to life, and who better than Lil Wayne?"
With its infectious hook and braggadocious lyrics, the Motion Family-directed clip has an evening outdoors theme, and the two rappers performing under psychedelic natural light display which is apparently sending everybody in the hood crazy. The video finds the two MCs spitter swank about their meticulous rhyming in a green field beneath a sky of strange clouds, while T.I. drops in for a few appearances and everyone tries to figure out what's happening with those strange clouds up above. Once again, B.o.B proves that Young Money is still on top of the mainstream rap game.

Admittedly, she looks more flawless and glowing than any office worker we've ever seen, but we'll cut her a break.
Everything that can go wrong does. It's not her day, nor is it her life. Throughout the clip, the only thing keeping Swift sane is dreaming about her absent boyfriend, who makes a return by the song's end. "I had a very definitive idea of what I wanted this video to be," Swift told E! News. The overarching theme of the "Ours" video is that deep down, we're all looking to connect with people, be it on the surface, in a fleeting moment or something deeper. It makes you think about engaging in conversation with that guy you ignore in the elevator every morning or making eye contact with that person on the bus and sharing a smile. It's a really lovely, little video that captures the nice nature of the song. It’s those quiet ones you have to watch.

Honor Society encourage their devotees to give back to the community in a newly premiered Micah Weisberg-directed music video for their latest holiday tune "Spread the Love." The four-piece band have enlisted some fans and teamed up with the Salvation Army and they wonder the streets and parks and spreads papper-cuts in heart shapes to people passing by, to show the fans what they could do to help others.
The boys, who recently released their second mini album "A Tale of Risky Business (EP)." The band's backing vocals and drums Alexander Noyes shared in a statement, "We wanted our new album, 'A Tale of Risky Business: Part 2' to inspire change, both musically and socially, and to encourage the next generation of philanthropists. We are so fortunate to have this opportunity and to support the important work being done by The Salvation Army."
In the spirit of holiday, Noyes and his bandmates inspire others to help community members in need. honeyhoney Unveil "Turn That Finger Around"

Los Angeles-based indie roots duo honeyhoney has teamed up with FILTER to unveil the music video for "Turn That Finger Around" off their new sophomore full-length effort, "Billy Jack," primarily produced by Raymond Richards, finds twenty-something musicians Suzanne Santo and Ben Jaffe threading sweet melodies with big acoustic guitar sounds, percussive banjos and countrified fiddles. It's strong both lyrically and musically and one that both my bluegrass friends and indie rock friends could get into.
Baby mamas, shotgun weddings and good advice from a cool roots band, honeyhoney is the jazzy, twangy, rollicking collaboration between vocalist Santo and guitarist Jaffe. The two began holding informal songwriting sessions and soon discovered a musical partnership. Adopting the name honeyhoney, which Santo says Jaffe came up with, but once it was set, he said it "sounded like a 60's girls group and that people were going to think he was a pansy." Santo liked it because it reminded her of the South and the way she talked to folks while she waitressed at an L.A. BBQ joint.
"It's a song about the difficulty of living with someone who points the finger, but forgets their own past." The song great... it's not my favorite on the album, but I like the authenticity of it. It's a song that a lot of girls I know could have written," Santo said about "Turn That Finger Around." The song pretty much had us at the hello of the first 12 bars, even before a word had been sung or the track had really dug in. Call it intuition, but we sort of felt that something great was coming. We were right. It both shimmies and shimmers with some revved up alt-country sturm and twang as Santos' vocals ride the steel strings with both insistence and soulfulness.
The music video for "Turn That Finger Around" has a number of great subtle elements, from the soft tone on such a heavy-topic track, to the almost familiar countryside. honeyhoney sings about some daunting life changes for a young couple in this track. The up-and-coming band duo, backed by the crack rhythm section of bassist Pat Taylor and drummer Gerry Porter ripped through barn stompers, Santo and Jaffe turned in some smoky harmonies on "Turn That Finger Around," the alt-country tone of the song really showcases such a story.

The frontwoman Florence Welch and her band have landed themselves in hot water after allegations their latest video promotes racial stereotypes and demonizes a religion, The music criticism from around the blogosphere debate over suggestions that it has a racist subtext.
"No Light, No Light" was the first song penned by Welch and Isabella Summers for the album during the tour in Amsterdam. The song begins with lyrics talking about fighting with snakes, and it was one of the songs where Welch sets aside her usual flighty, dreamy, gothy lyrical go-to's ghosts, graveyards, devils, angels, myths, drowning for something a bit more personal. Musically, the song exudes utter strength; lyrically, Welch is on her knees.
Backed by a live choir, Welch showed off her vocal prowess as she rocked out to "No Light, No Light" and she told NME: "Most of my influences have been male singers and the people I grew up watching perform were all these garage punk bands who went to Camberwell Art College with male singers who were almost trying to exorcise the audience. The video, directed by Iceland-based duo Arni & Kinski, seems suggested a flirtation with dark magic, but any fascination Welch has with the occult is no longer the stuff of Manor Party games. There's some seriously life-threatening juju going on and as we watch Welch belt out the song from a skyscraper's rooftop, while elsewhere - perhaps far out of the range of her cannon-blast voice - a man painted black is convulsing through the steps of a voodoo ritual. The clip touches on the fine line between spiritual ecstasy and reckless abandon, is exploring a territory between Christianity and voodoo spirituality. It does not shy away from matching the music's melodramatic intensity.

She just debuted another sultry music video for her latest single "Dance For You," a bonus track off her latest album, "4." It will be the eighth video featured in the deluxe edition of her "Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4" DVD special anthology, which includes footage from live shows and interviews, out November 29, a week after its standard package was released.
"Dance for You" is a sensual number in which Beyoncé sexifies her vocals over echoing drum patterns and a lap-dance theme. Its clip is a detective style noir shot in black and white with lots of dancing around and on chairs with moves you'll recognize from club girls whose feet hurt and need to sit but just can't stop grooving. Filmed over the course of four nights at New York City's historic Roseland Ballroom, the video features the mom-to-be's road to success. If there's one thing we know for sure, it's that Beyoncé loves to dance for you, and the new "Dance for You" video is no exception.
It's a rainy night as Beyoncé enters her film-noir-style "Dance For You" video. Outside, a siren wails like a tired baby. And like any femme fatale in those old flicks, Beyoncé's nothing but trouble from the minute she walks through the door. Starring as a screen siren in distress, Beyoncé opens the steamy clip with a visit to a man's office in homage to what appears to be classic detective or private investigator shows. Beyoncé's got something to show him. Not clues, not evidence. She's there to show how very much she appreciates him (as the lyrics), by giving him an extended private dance.
As Beyoncé videos go, "Dance For You" doesn't compare to the spectacle of say, the "Run The World (Girls)" clip, but it is effective. Under a single light in his office, she shows off her sexy moves in front of the man she sets her eyes on. It's a mostly private dance until all those other ladies show up. Beyoncé unveils a line-up of backup all-female dancers, with an additional string section. At the end, the detective looks somewhere between completely unimpressed and totally satisfied. Jason DeRulo Gets Wet In "Fight For You" Video

The new album is another relentless tirade of club-ready urban tunes that blend in to each-other far too often. The 22-year-old R&B star once said, "People talk about the second album pressures all the time, but when you're writing your own material I think the pressures go away." Derülo has been making a mark on hip hop for the past few years, and his new video is actually ahead of the song's official release tomorrow. The song has an island-ly feel and is all about fighting for true love no matter what the circumstances are.
The RedOne-produced track "Fight For You," is an Earth-trouncing power anthem that tricks out a R&B power ballad with a refrain from Toto's "Africa," and features lyrics that contain declarations of love. But with little in the way of surprises elsewhere, his fans can only hope his move into acting is short-lived. It was the first song Derülo and hit-maker RedOne worked together on, and is the kind of sweet-as-candy R&B fodder that would fit in seamlessly on the High School Musical soundtrack.
The clip shows Derülo falls head over heals with his pretty girlfriend, starting with a scene in the kitchen as they go intimate while having a few drinks followed by steamy shower moments in the morning. Sweet moments fill the video like Derülo dancing for his girl inside the train, dancing with her in the subway while local performers play for them, taking her out for a lunch date, and more intimate scenes inside a cab as they tour around the city. The creative visual matches the song's upbeat vibe, using black and white scenes, silhouettes, night shots on a bridge, and slow-motion capture of Derülo while doing his crazy dance moves all sum up for a great dramatic effect. If you've been watching NBC lately, you may have noticed that as midseason approaches, they've been promoting their upcoming new musical drama series SMASH, an emotionally stirring drama, chronicling what it takes to get a new Broadway musical off the ground. NBC has released the first official music video from the series, featuring Katharine McPhee covering Christina Aguilera's cello-driven, classically-flavored ballad "Beautiful."
SMASH celebrates the beauty and heartbreak of the Broadway theater as it follows a cross-section of dreamers and schemers who all have one common desire - to be a 'Smash hit.' The series is set to premiere on February 6, 2012. The plot will follow an out-of-town tryout of a Broadway musical, and centers on a group of people putting together to create a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe, written by the successful songwriting duo of Tom and Julia.
The 27-year-old American Idol veteran, shows off her "Beautiful" voice, is headed to the Great White Way in NBC's upcoming Broadway-centric series. McPhee plays Karen Cartwright, a young girl from Iowa with a dream of making it on Broadway who lands a successful audition and becomes the favorite for the role of Marilyn and blows everyone away. It begins with Bieber singing alone in an empty loft, with his arms flailing and face slightly scrunching every time he hits those heartfelt notes. Bieber's solo intro leads way to a collaborative bridge, where Boyz II Men join in that looks straight out of a '90s Boyz II Men video, Bieber and the group belt out the lyrics from the stoop on the front porch of a brick house. At the end of the video, which was directed by Colin Tilley, the crooners seem to have a friendly sing-off, each doing their best vocal run.
No elaborate set needed. With an empty city as their backdrop, the four crooners throw down in an old-fashioned sing-off. As the track builds, Boyz II Men's Wanya Morris really gets into it, pounding his chest and kicking one leg up to accentuate his performance. Bieber, who is dressed in a white tee and slim-cut leather jacket, tugs on his collar to let you just how much his words mean to him. Maybe some of Boyz II Men's subject matter was a bit mature for the pint-size Bieber, but they influenced him nonetheless.

Michigan pop-punk outfit Every Avenue have premiered their music video on MTV Buzzworthy for their song "Fall Apart," the lead single from the band's latest third full-length album, "Bad Habits," which came out in August through Fearless Records. "Fall Apart" is a by-the-numbers breakup song that's damn near irresistible. The video features some great performance shots alongside the destruction of a home/relationship.
The quintet have had a relatively fast rise since the release of their 2008 debut album. Giving their brand of euphoric rock a sharper, slicker edge, Every Avenue's third record, "Bad Habits" solidifies their place in the next breed of strong contenders in pop rock. The album sees the band lacing their infectious melodies with a glimpse of a darker side, embracing their next phase with the passion of a band truly defining their sound and making it their own.
The lyric "the empty space you left behind" in "Fall Apart" sums up this song. When a relationship ends, it rarely just "ends." You get used to that person being there; you associate them with memories of different places and different songs, and those feelings can sometimes remain beyond a relationship finishing. Follow up Christina Perri's video for "A Thousand Years," Bruno Mars has finally unveiled his delayed video on MTV for "It Will Rain," which opens with a pivotal scene from "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" movie soundtrack. The new clip feels more like a denim brand's lookbook than a peek at the vampire franchise's fourth film. Mars taps his songwriting skills to win his girl back after they go through a lot of drama, but there's no sunlight for the ballad singer in the video as it appears his on-screen love life is shattered.
"It Will Rain" has the dated feel of a song from the '80s, perhaps because of the drum track. Speaking to Billboard magazine, Mars explained that "the Twilight movies, "for me [are] a love story. But it's a dark love story. And I think the best way to describe the song is: it's the darker side of love. I think that pretty much sums it up. 'It Will Rain' started off with me and the guitar, and I just had this melody in my head and basically laid it down after I saw the film." Rolling Stone saying Mars' clean-cut looks and gently scuffed croon make him an ideal nonthreatening crush with its desperately yearning melody. Duran Duran has just released the nine-minute long promo for "Girl Panic!," the second single from '80s rock icons' latest album, "All You Need Is Now," taps into the edgy mix of post-punk, art rock, and new romantic synthpop. For a band who helped build their reputation on its groundbreaking music videos, it's been a long time since Duran Duran made a promotional film worthy of their classic clips from the '80s, which repeatedly cast the band as a hedonistic, futuristic, slightly effeminate gang of pirates. The video effectively captures the hedonism of the song's grooves in scenes of young, barely clothed models touching tongues on four-poster beds, though "Girl Panic!" ebbs and flows like waves of cocaine and champagne crashing on a crystalline shoreline. "Girl Panic!" works because it's the first time since 1985's "A View to a Kill" that a Duran Duran video effectively captures the band's essential modus operandi: Booze, babes and bling.
