Emily Osment Premiered 'You Are The Only One'

After premiering "All the Way Up" video back in August last year, the Disney star Emily Osment hasn't given up on the pop singer and actress's recent debut enhanced play record, "All The Right Wrongs" as the TV Star also known as the depicter of Lilly Truscott in 'Hannah Montana' has released a brand new music video Friday exclusively on VEVO, to promote her second single "You Are The Only One," from this EP, which has been in stores since October 2009, on Wind-up Records. The EP was debuted at No.1 on the Heatseekers Album chart.
Osment tweeted about the video this morning, writing "My morning alarm is so groovy I just woke up dancing. While still in bed. #You Are The Only One US Video Premiere! Watch now!" The youth actress shows her emotional side in her new music video, which features her in a room with a bunch of friends. Among the crowd, she only feels connected to one of them. The 17-year-old actress also confirmed in the same interview that she held a long term complicated relationship with someone for a few years a little while ago, which inspires many of her songs, including "You Are the Only One."
Osment expanded her repertoire into pop music and more recently alternative/indie rock where she has been practicing really hard with her band for their upcoming tour, "Clap Your Hands," which will kicks off March 7 at House of Blues in Anaheim. She checked in with fans on her YouTube channel with a video discussing her upcoming tour, "It's gonna be fun. Make sure you're ready to dance, tastefully of course," the 17-year-old said. "I've been working hard on my full length record for these last couple of months all over the place, and working with some fantastic people." The new song "You Are The Only One" will be taking on the road with her during the tour.

Shakira And Rafael Nadal Heat Up "Gypsy" Video

Colombian diva Shakira has just premiered the highly anticipated music video featuring tennis superstar Rafael Nadal on Friday for her another blockbuster hit "Gypsy" (Spanish version, "Gitana"), the fourth and favorite single, hit radio stations on February 22, taken from her latest album "She Wolf" which has been in stores since October 2009.
The video, like the song paired with it, has a much more organic vibe and sound than other tracks from "She Wolf," was directed by frequent Shakira collaborator Jaume de Laiguana in Spain's Barcelona. The video tells a love story that plays out on a desert backdrop. It's an ideal setting for the romance between the smiling Shakira and her often-shirtless tennis pro to unfold. The intricate plot involves Shakira roaming the desert in skimpy garb, while the lyrics of "Gypsy" have Shakira singing about looking to bring her love with her on the road, and shows the sexy Colombian showing off her fabulous abs in a black gauzy slip of a thing, playing a harmonica, dancing, embracing and getting intimate with Nadal as the lead male protagonist, and then finally the two share a passionate kiss in the end.
On her decision to pick up Nadal as her leading man in the video, Shakira said, "I thought that maybe I needed someone (in the video) I could in some way identify with." She continued, "And Rafael Nadal is a person who has been totally committed to his career since he was very young, since he was 17, I believe. (The song represents my) way of living and seeing life. I've been on the road since I was very young, so that's where the gypsy metaphor comes from." Nadal added, "It has been a great experience and I had a lot of fun doing it. I had some time in between tournaments and preparation and could not miss this opportunity. Shakira, as always, was spectacular. Working with a woman as charming as her, well, it makes it a lot easier to tell the truth. It was great, very easy, she's really sweet and that always makes the hours go by faster."

The music video premiere for track, "Unusual Way," introducing new Geffen Records artist Griffith Frank, has been serviced as a focus track for various promotional tie-ins. 21-year-old sensation Frank will offer his soulful take on "Unusual Way," the soundtrack from Rob Marshall's new film adaptation of the 7-Time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical "Nine."
Frank is an artist with a unique voice that reconnects people to their feelings. Born in NYC raised in California, He has studied and perfected the art of music. With a three octave vocal range, he can sing pop, rock, and semi classical material. Frank does a fantastic job of keeping the song intense and smooth. James and Kidman are no match in their rendition. I love how Frank transitions in that one place at the beginning without taking a breath.

Lady Antebellum Give Us Some 'American Honey'

The Grammy Award winning country trio Lady Antebellum unveiled the brand-new video for their chart-climbing second single, "American Honey," from band's chart top sophomore "Need You Now" album last Friday morning only on Oprah.com. This is the first music video the iconic television host, Oprah has ever debuted on her website, and its premiere coincides with the trio's first appearance on the syndicated "Oprah Winfrey Show," where they performed a medley of their No.1 hits "Need You Now" and "I Run To You."
The single, "American Honey" is written by Cary Barlowe, Hillary Lindsey and Shane Stevens. The song's female narrator, lead singer Hillary Scott, states a desire to escape her adult lifestyle and return to her childhood, which is described in the lyric as "American Honey." Charles Kelley tells AOL's The Boot that although their hit single "Need You Now" crossed over to the mainstream pop world, their second single "American Honey," most likely "won't have that kind of flavor to do that." Dave Haywood added that "We knew we had to have it when we heard it. It's one that features Hillary on lead. And I think it's a message that we want to have out there that as crazy as the times get for our job and anybody's job, you have to remember when life was a little simpler and a little sweeter."
The video is a simple, heartwarming look at a lazy summer day in the country, directed by Trey Fanjoy, known for her work with Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and many other country artists, features scenes of Scott remembering her life as little girl content to blow bubbles into the wind, Haywood thinking about his carefree days as a little boy on a bike and Kelley looking back on all the joys of a first love, and the band playing their yearning ballad from a porch, a series of poignant vignettes in which the group's members reflect back on scenes from their childhood with a bee pollinating flowers providing the thread that ties it all together. "This video, more than anything, evokes a bitter sweet nostalgia, a longing for days gone by and simpler times," notes Fanjoy. "The honey bee is a metaphor for that urge to bring some sweetness into our lives."
I really like it. It's beautifully shot, and Hillary is absolutely stunning in the video. I just know there is nothing sweeter than hearing her sing about church bells and preachers and weeds against a backdrop of fiddle and mandolin. Leona Lewis Premieres "I Got You" Music Video

It's the moment you've been waiting for, the British singing sensation Leona Lewis has got your back in the legendary Dave Myers-directed video for "I Got You," the second single from her sophomore album "Echo." The storyline follows several young couples who experience in their turbulent love relationship, and was filmed in Venice Beach, California. Lewis's performance in front of a burning heart is also featured in it. "It's a strong, cool performance, lots of actors with a movie feel to it," she recently tweeted about the scene. "I'm so proud of it and hope you love it too - enjoy!"
What is made painfully evident by the video is Lewis is starting to fall into that' seen one video, seen 'em all' set of artists who never really bring anything to write home about when it comes to putting visuals to their music. The much anticipated dramatic video, another one with a good story behind, and Lewis looking gorgeous and stunning as usual. It features clips of many couples going through the ups and downs of love and having arguments, but they all eventually patch things up at the end with images suggesting healing and new relationships.
The 24-year-old vocal mistress might not exactly be Katie Price in the showbiz personality stakes, but things really do seem to change around Lewis in a quite startling way. Which just goes to show what a big talent can do to people. When she first did her version of Snow Patrol's "Run" for the Live Lounge, it felt like a challenge. Here was this defiant reality TV pop star, the girl who turned X Factor's boasts of finding real talent into *cough* reality, singing a well-loved indie song as if it was a Westlife ballad, and making more than a decent fist of it.
By slowing it down, puffing it full of warm air and setting it free to waft over a wintry nation, Lewis made it her own, without killing what people liked about it in the first place. It was, and remains, a good cover version. Lewis being Lewis, she can at least provide some kind of musical movement, by wandering off the path set down by the song, and blazing a new trail using that hooting voice of hers. The big question is whether, for you the listener, this kind of simple, stripped-back songwriting is a hallmark of emotional truth: Lewis certainly sings it as if it is or a really lazy way to put a song together. Even though the video has been on the internet for over a week now I have to post it just because we love the song and video so much! Lewis is true talent and true talent always needs to be recognized.

Paramore Release Video 'The Only Exception'

In coincidence with Valentine's Day, the alternative rock band Paramore bring in love theme video for their slow-burning torch jam "The Only Exception," on their official Web site last Wednesday, was directed by photographer Brandon Branches, director of "The Final Riot!" live tour album DVD. Paramore have been steadily evolving since their breakout album "Riot!" dropped in 2007. On their latest album, "Brand New Eyes," their sound grows in multiple directions. It's cliche, but true: You don't know what you've got until it's gone. Paramore drive that point home for album' third single "The Only Exception," the first ballad the band has ever released as a single. The newest video for song is by far the most visually interesting and complex clip the group has ever produced, features fan submitted Valentine's Day cards, and sees the band exploring narrative in a way they never have before.
This Valentine's Day-themed music video focuses on vocalist Hayley Williams when she tries to find her true love. The video opens with singer Williams waking up on a couch next to a guy and writing a note that says "I'm sorry." From there she walks to the next room and hugs a guy who, based on the lyrics, is probably meant to be her father. The video continues with Williams in her room staring into the mirror, singing about how love doesn't exist. She then moves through a costume closet and into a restaurant set, where a rotating cast of guys pose as her date. In a cool transition, she moves into the next room, where there's a wedding. Everyone there is wearing white, but Williams comes dressed in black.
She flees the scene when the bride enters. During the chorus, the clip cuts to the coolest scene in the whole video: Williams sings ("Darling, you are the only exception") while lying down on a giant pile of homemade Valentine's Day cards. According to Williams' Twitter, the cards were solicited by the band and sent in by fans. In the video's final moments, Williams spots her dream guy in the crowd at a rock show, fantasizes about them together and makes her way back through the various rooms to the original set. She returns to the couch where dream guy is still asleep.
This soulful acoustic number is a heartfelt song about love. Inspired by frontwoman Williams' own heart-breaking experience with her parents' divorce, the clip shows how hard Williams fights love because, as she sings in the swelling ballad, "I've always lived like this, keeping a comfortable distance and up until now, I had sworn to myself that I'm content with loneliness." "The Only Exception" is Paramore's most ambitious and mature video yet, matching its action to the advanced sentiment of the lyrics, which paint Williams as a cynic who doesn't believe in love but is willing to make an exception for the right person. It's another win for a band that just keeps coming up victorious.

Miley Cyrus' Final Cut For "When I Look at You"

Destiny Hope Miley Cyrus is ramping up the promotion for her forthcoming movie, "The Last Song" with the release of a new music video, "When I Look At You," is a big piano driven ballad. Playing around with a long delay on her vocals, the Disney star duets with herself quite nicely in this final official cut and new version of music video, will be released through ABC Family today to promote the new film. Unlike the previously-released video which highlights on her singing the tune, this new one gives more footage from movie, "The Last Song," directed by Julie Anne Robinson and based on Nicholas Sparks' best-selling novel of the same title, is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on March 31, where the track serves as its theme song, and marks another step in Cyrus's evolution to adult roles. That 17-year-old sure is growing up fast.
The final cut features Cyrus sitting beside Australian actor and real-life boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth while playing grand piano. With movie footage to use, the production values are high, but also Cyrus's digging deep on this heartstring-tugging, piano-driven ballad clip. The power ballad single is also appears as the second single from Cyrus's first mini album "The Time of Our Lives [Walmart EP]" by Hollywood Records, and produced by Adam Shankman, the guest judge of "So You Think You Can Dance", along with Hillary Lindsey.
"'When I Look at You' was actually a song that was going to go on my next record," Cyrus said in a behind-the-scene clip of the video shoot. "We listened to it and went, 'Oh my gosh, this could not be more perfect.' It describes the entire movie." The movie is a story about family, first loves, second chances and the moments in life that lead you back home. Cyrus starring as a rebellious girl, who is sent to a Southern beach town for the summer to stay with her father. Through their mutual love of music, and a romantic hook up with Hemsworth's character slowly causes Cyrus to see things in a new light and she eventually reconnects with her father. The plot is similar to "Hannah Montana, The Movie" and obviously pitched at her tween audience, which is growing older along with her.
Reception of the song has thus far been positive, with Variety magazine's Lael Lowenstein calling it an "almost inevitable hit single," and Allmusic's Heather Phares noting that "When she lets her [...] ballad-singing diva come to the fore, Cyrus really shines. Melinda M. Thompson of The Oregonian believed that by playing the piano, Cyrus "showcased her many talents and proved she really just beginning to grasp her star power."Mikael Wood of The Los Angeles Times commented, "Once again, make-believe Miley was more compelling than the real thing."

Timbaland Ft. Justin Timberlake For "Carry Out"

Super producer Timbaland teamed up with Justin Timberlake in the video for their duet "Carry Out," which was originally filmed in December 2009 consisting mostly of live performance footage of Timbaland and Timberlake performing the song, it was supposed to premiere in January 2010 before it got shelved. In late January 2010, it was announced that a new video is going to be shot with director Bryan Barber, and premiered Friday on VEVO. This new video witnesses both super-sized talents feast on an assortment of eye candy and flirting with the ladies in the drive-in food outlet.
"Carry Out," a southern term used for restaurants where customers primarily pick up their orders, is Timbaland's third single from his third album "Shock Value II." The song was co-written and features Timberlake. Timbaland has said this is his favorite track on the album. This particular video showcases Timabland and Timberlake's chemistry as they dance and rap while models dressed as waitresses and French maids take their orders. The pair chant during the second verse. The clip ends with each model biting into a piece of chocolate cake and cherries with a smile, proving that food is still the way to a man's heart.
Timbaland recently said that he's done with hip-hop production and Timberlake have a long history of collaborating together, most notably on Timberlake's No.1 sophomore solo album, 2006's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" where the duo played with Prince-like rhythms and electronica, culminating in the ubiquitous single "My Love" featuring T.I. Last month during the producer/rapper's Hollywood show at the House of Blues, Timberlake joined his friend onstage for a performance of "Carry Out" along with "SexyBack" and "My Love." Timberlake also recently showed his clothing line, William Rast, during New York Fashion Week. The singer described the collection as a bridge between music and fashion. "Well, I think since the beginning of rock and roll, people have wanted to dress like rock stars," he told MTV News backstage at his label's fashion show. "I still find old Mick Jagger jackets that I wish I could pull out of his closet or something. Of course, they wouldn't fit me very tight. I think we all want to dress like rock stars."
Yeah, the man may have turned his back on all Hip-Hop not featuring a certain Shawn Corey Carter, but Timbaland still proves he can win with Pop as his profession. If you haven't find yourself humming this melody at any given moment, just wait. You will. Infectious like the plague, a lil' cowbell, triangle and Timberlake go a long way to leaving a stain in your memory bank.

Taylor Swift Shares Life In Her "Fearless" Video

If there is any artist out there right now owing their fans a big thank you, it's country-pop darling and this year's Grammys queen Taylor Swift. The young star has had an incredible ride with her latest Multi-Platinum sophomore album, the chart-topping "Fearless." She's currently working on the set's follow-up but before things completely die down with this project, she dropped a brand new music video on CMT for the album's title track.
The Todd Cassety directed video plays out like a video journal/documentary, showcasing a collection of performance and backstage footage from Country princess's wildly successful 2009 Fearless Tour across the world. It really shows off her passion for her fans and how connected she is to them. Swift loves her fans, and she always makes sure to give props to those who have helped make her the award-winning superstar she is today. So it seems fitting that when she put together the video for her song "Fearless," she made sure to give her fans a front-row seat and an inside view of pop star's life on the road and what Swift says is the best experience of her entire life. The video captures that attitude and the experience of what she brings to her fans each and every night she steps onstage. She's definitely been the source of some unforgettable moments and wonderful experiences. Although the song is a love letter to the perfect first date, the video is really Swift's love letter to her fans. It ends with the singer waving goodbye to them as she makes her way off the stage.
The 20-year-old explained earlier the song is about "the fearlessness of falling in love". She wrote on her label's website, "No matter how many break up songs you write, no matter how many times you get hurt, you will always fall in love again. When I wrote 'Fearless,' I wasn't dating anyone. I wasn't even in the beginning stages of dating anybody. I really was all by myself out on tour and I got this idea for a song about the best first date. I think sometimes when you're writing love songs, you don't write them about what you're going through at the moment, you write about what you wish you had. So, this song is about the best first date I haven't had yet." She told MTV News "I really thought about what that word ['fearless'] means to me, and I guess, to me, fearless doesn't mean you're completely unafraid and it doesn't mean that you're bulletproof. It means that you have a lot of fears, but you jump anyway."
Although her Grammy performance has been widely criticized, Swift really does know how to put on a great live show, and need some convincing. Although she sings of being bold and brave when it comes to finding a sweetheart, this young woman has proven she's fearless in more than just love. She's also a road warrior. With all of her colossal and exhilarating success, no wonder she's telling herself, "I don't know how it gets better than this." It feels like every artist under the sun eventually slaps together a lazy candid-backstage-and-performance clip job video instead of coming up with a clever new concept, but at least Swift has great timing: she's about to embark on a huge U.S. arena tour, and this video may send her fans straight to Ticketmaster to nab tix to her live show.

Avril Lavigne Debuts "Alice In Wonderland" Video

One of my top favorite singers Avril Lavigne is finally back with a brand new video for her crooned fantastical lead theme song entitled "Alice (Underground)," off soundtrack album "Almost Alice" for Tim Burton's epic fantasy adventure film "Alice In Wonderland," based on the Lewis Carroll' classic tale, a magical and imaginative twist on some of the most beloved stories of all time, will hit theaters in 3D on Friday, March 5 and the soundtrack album "Almost Alice" will be available for purchase starting March 2.
The mid-tempo ballad "Alice" is an alternative rock song, written and performed by the Juno-Award winning Canadian singer-songwriter Lavigne herself and produced by Butch Walker. Lavigne told Disney executives and director Tim Burton she could write a song for the film's soundtrack, and Lavigne "wrote the song immediately" on her piano. Lavigne described the song as "a little darker" and confirmed the lyrics, "trippin' out, spinnin' around, I'm underground, I fell down." The song does provide a suitably dramatic intro to publicity for the upcoming film, and it's the one of the best songs of Lavigne's career.
The music video is coming from the directorial hands of Dave Meyers, and is very much inspired by the Tim Burton's upcoming highly anticipated Walt Disney film. It features Lavigne playing a punk version of the title character, Alice, who chasing a rabbit, stumbling over her steps and falling into a hole and finding herself in another world. One of the most breathtaking shots feature Lavigne as Alice, sitting at a table with Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter. It really looks as if she's in the scene with the actor even though she's not. I'm actually really excited for this video to come out. She does write her own songs, which is rare in the industry. The video looks amazing, and the cinematography blends so well into the artistic aesthetic of the "Alice In Wonderland" film. There are a lot of inter-cut scenes from the movie that are matched with those of Lavigne in the video, which seamlessly intertwine with one another.
There's no questioning that this little Canadian still has some world-class pipes. Her vocals emotional expressing the confusion of Alice falling through that rabbit hole, and brings Alice directly into a contemporary context. This will allow young fans to see more clearly the metaphorical application of "Alice In Wonderland" to contemporary issues and dilemmas. "Alice" works both as an emotional, dramatic evocation of struggles with confusing times in life, and setting the scene for the movie making listeners eager to see tjavascript:void(0)he story that generates this heart-pounding, raw statement of the survival instinct.

BEP Battle Robots In 'Imma Be Rockin' That Body'

It's a double music video premiered back to back on Dipdive! Futuristic four-piece the Black Eyed Peas have proven that they really so 3008 with their latest fourth music video "Imma Be Rocking That Body", which is actually a combination of the songs "Imma Be"(U.S. single) and "Rock That Body"(U.K. & Europe single) from the groups chart topping and Grammy-award winning multi-platinum album "The E.N.D." which has pulled in more than 5 million copies worldwide since being released in June last year.
The Black Eyed Peas are looking and sounding like they are going the charts again with this double slammer of a video that lasts 10 minutes plus. The Black Eyed Peas battle robots in their sci-fi adventure two-in-one video, which was shot in a desert road in Lancaster, California on January 13 and directed by Rich Lee. The filming process was once forced to be halted when a sudden gust of sand swept the set and made it an unsafe environment for the artists and crew. The video, including robotic dancers, falls along the futuristic path and the combined tune is all about the beats, partying and the future. The two new singles are catchy and funnily enough make the lackluster passion from the disc mean something.
It kicks off with will.i.am explaining his vision about the group's future in the next millennium and telling the group how the future won't need them any more. Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie, wearing Louboutin designer footwear and a black metallic leotard, who disagrees with the idea leaves the group in outrage, driving a BMW motorcycle and strutting down a desert road surrounded by freaky reptiles, followed by an insane battle between the Peas, their robot friends, and some less friendly robot bad guys. Then, the video is rolled featuring lots of futuristic scenes, and it gets all 'Terminator'/'District 9' styled. LeToya Dedicates "Good to Me" To All Good Men

The former member of the R&B female group Destiny's Child member LeToya Luckett has exclusively premiered her highly anticipated music video for "Good To Me" on Singersroom.com last Thursday. A follow up to the hit single "Regret," "Good To Me" is the fourth single to come from the "Torn" singer's 2009 sophomore effort "Lady Love," was directed by makeup artist AJ Crimson and features popular model/actor Keston Karter, who appears as LeToya's leading man and love interest. They are seen getting cozy in this newly-premiered video.
Capitol recording R&B stunning star LeToya gets up close and personal with Karter and dedicates her latest song "Good to Me" to all the good men. It details the quest for the perfect man, one who doesn't merely appease women by offering materialistic gifts known as "pacifiers." LeToya has a head on her shoulders for sure. And that head is certainly on straight. This is the music video that all the kids have been anticipating just to see how the rumored down low Karter would pull off the straight man role. I think he did pretty good, but his HUD tendencies still shined right through. Especially during the cuddling scene on the sofa. Although being a low budget simple video it looks really nice and pretty decent as well, but reminiscent of a new coming artist. They managed to get out the best of it.
As much as we're feeling LeToya as well as the song, it's imperative to keep it real. The video left a lot to be desired. I totally fell in love with Letoya's last album "Lady Love," the project surprised me with it's versatility while maintaining a sensible balance and a good flow. "Good To Me" is the latest single from that album, though I must admit I was hoping for some different singles off this album.
LeToya is very much the modern-day Millie Jackson: relatable, authentic, audacious and adept in capturing the everywoman hiding behind closed shutters and curtains. By all appearances, LeToya's transitions have been both smooth and satisfying. But growth is never without struggle. Brand names are just that enduring. The blessing of a lifelong following is tempered by the curse of past accomplishments perpetually in tow. Many struggle when forced to step out from behind the name that's propelled them to tip-of-the-tongue currency. Only the rarest make those fledgling first steps count. LeToya is one such triumph. Part of the global groundswell known as Destiny's Child, LeToya won two Grammy Awards and released many successful commercial recordings.

Mat Kearney Shares His New "All I Have" Video

I received Local pop success Mat Kearney's tweet three days ago from TwitVid and said "I just got the new video we shot in Nashville for 'All I Have.' I wanted you to see it first." The new song "All I Have" is the second expected single off the Eugene, Oregon singer songwriter's most recent third studio album "City of Black & White," out now through Aware/Columbia Records. And the Jay Martin directed new video was shot at his home in Nashville.
The album version "All I Have" is full of energy and to scale it back here I'm sure was a dedicated effort, not laziness. While a good amount of Kearney's songs at first appear cut from the same cloth as those of fellow acoustic crooner John Mayer, there's plenty to differentiate him. The hip-hop stylings of "Undeniable" and "Girl America," as well as "All I Need" - a song detailing eyewitness accounts of Hurricane Katrina - point to the fact that Kearney isn't just a dude singing about his hurt feelings on TV. He's had songs appear on a lot of my favorite series, such as "Grey's Anatomy," "One Tree Hill" and "Friday Night Lights."

Jewel 'Stay Here Forever' From 'Valentine's Day'

When it comes to relationships, there's one singer out there that has had her thumb on the heartbeat of love and heartbreak over the years. Dominating the charts with hits like "Foolish Games," "You Were Meant For Me," "Pieces of You," and "Who Will Save Your Soul," the country crossover artist Jewel is ready to add a new song to her collection of hits. The latest from the country superstar is an upbeat celebration of love just in time for St. Valentine and the new film "Valentine's Day." Jewel just released the official music video for her first country chart single "Stay Here Forever," a lighthearted dedication to romance serves as the lead soundtrack for the new romantic comedy "Valentine's Day," as well as the lead-off single to Jewel's upcoming second country album with Valory Music Group, which the Nashville and Texas vibes have found their way into the music for sure, and will likely be out in June.
It's so nice to have Jewel back. She has received three Grammy Award nominations and has sold more than 27 million albums in her career, which began in 1995. Jewel came out in 2008 with her own brand of country music and while it didn't deviate much from what she's always done, Jewel didn't become as big a star on the country charts as many suspected she would. If people are familiar at all with producer Nathan Chapman, they'll recognize the similarity of this song to something that might have been on a Taylor Swift record sonically. Lyrically the song follows a romantic path that is pretty obvious from the title alone. The melody is purely out of the Taylor Swift songbook but that vocal is completely chock full-o-charm and at times I hear some Pam Tillis in this cute and playful romantic romp. In other words, this song could very well be Jewel's big mainstream country break while also being perfectly suited to be featured in a rom-com.
"Stay Here Forever" is a country ballad, backed primarily by percussion with occasional fiddle fills. Jewel talked to EW about her new single she contributed to the mix. "I heard the soundtrack folks were looking for one more song, and I submitted this one and they fell in love with it and made it the lead single," Jewel says. "That's pretty cool. I wrote it for my husband, Ty, and used how I feel for him as inspiration. It's about being in love and how going on a great adventure is fun, but sometimes staying home with the one you love is even better."
Jewel portrays a florist in Peter Zavadil-directed music video for "Stay Here Forever", while she is singing and arranging flowers, scenes of the various couples from the highly publicized and anticipated romantic comedy "Valentine's Day," features a star-studded line-up, has more stars in one movie than any I've seen in years, hit theaters Friday for St.Valentine's Day weekend, and has already topping the box office. Linkin Park Releases "Not Alone" Video For Haiti

American rock band Linkin Park was among the first artists to respond to the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti last month, heading up a charity album, "Download to Donate for Haiti," within a week. Now the rock giants are giving you an intimate look at the creation of their song to help Haiti, and released a special new video for "Not Alone," the previously unreleased song they gave to the compilation. It's a stark, mostly black-and-white clip that switches between images of the immense destruction in Haiti, some of them fairly graphic, and footage of Linkin Park recording "Not Alone" in a studio. The stunning video features studio performance footage interspersed with stark images of the Haitian devastation. The clip is being premiered exclusively at www.myspacemusic.com beginning today.
The new song "Not Alone" is currently playing on AOL Radio's New Alternative First station, is an unfinished demo from 2007's 'Minutes to Midnight,' with vocals recorded by Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington just over the weekend to complete the track and released On January 19.
"Download to Donate for Haiti" is a compilation album and a star-studded recovery effort by Music for Relief, a non-profit organization established by Linkin Park in 2005, following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, to help victims of natural disasters to help prevent such disasters. The special album provides fans with the opportunity to download a collection of exclusive songs along with many other unreleased by their favorite artists, such as All American Rejects, Hoobastank, Alanis Morisette, Slash, Enrique Iglesias, Peter Gabriel and more, and then donate funds on a purely voluntary basis. Each download is a donation. Fans can download the unreleased songs at www.musicforrelief.org and via the websites of each participating artist.
One of the most unique aspects of "Download To Donate For Haiti" is its community element. On musicforrelief.org, songs are downloaded via an embeddable widget and fans are encouraged to embed the widget on their own social network pages to help spread the word. "We ask that everyone donate, but if all you can afford is to spread the word, embed the widget, share it on Facebook, Twitter, whatever, then that'll be good enough," says Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda. Linkin Park are currently in the studio recording the long awaited fourth album, which will be released in 2010, with the aim for it to be "genre-busting."

"Rude Boy" is "about the kind of street, bad boy that girls sometimes like. There's a danger and a swagger there." It exploits Rihanna's most appealing vocal style, a sulky, icy, monotone – uniquely among the pantheon of showboating R&B divas. The video for song goes in a completely different direction from her latest videos in that instead of a dark and grungy tone, this particular vibrant video is fun and is very colorful.
Harsh vibes Rihanna has been giving off recently, and stated previously that she was taking it back to her earlier Island days for the new clip, and she meant it! From the very bright colors, animals, the creative graphics, the sexy dances, the hot looks, the interaction with the guys, to the scenery and imagination, Rihanna is letting everyone know where she comes from. On this colorful video, directed by Melina Matsoukas, who also directed the video for "Hard", was clearly trying to express herself with eclectic visuals instead of the standard boring video's. She is also reminiscent of the vibrant 80s, and of Rihanna's Caribbean origin. The whole concept of the music video is very colorful and retro-ish.

Rihanna described the video as "completely different from any other video I've shot before. A lot of my videos are really dark and edgy and tough. 'Rude Boy' is more playing along the lines from my roots. We used a lot of color, but also the costumes were very Jamaican dance-hall queen type." Jamaican dancehall is the central theme surrounding the video. Many different styles and genres of fashion and music have been fused together to make a seamlessly perfect production. This video screams "Music of The Sun" déjà vu!

The Fray Premieres New Video For "Syndicate"

Denver-based piano rock band The Fray team up with Yahoo! to premiere a music video in support of their latest single "Syndicate", the third single appearing in the band's self-titled studio project "The Fray," which was released on February 3 through Epic Records. Following the success of lead single "You Found Me," the album the album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart, and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2010, but it lost to "The E.N.D." by the Black Eyed Peas.
The Fray, a foursome whose melodic pop-rock songs and soaring vocals resonate with sprawling tapestries and tales of hopefulness and heartache. Formed in 2002 by Isaac Slade (vocals, piano) and Joe King (guitar, vocals), The Fray earned a loyal grassroots following through impressive area gigs and the support of local radio which led a listener-driven campaign to get the band a record contract.

Patty Loveless Goes Back In Time For "Busted"

American country star Patty Loveless just exclusively released her brand new music video for her newest single "Busted" on Yahoo!'s Music Premier Page as the top feature last Friday. "Busted" is the lead-off single off latest sixteenth studio album "Mountain Soul II," followed up 2001's "Mountain Soul" on the Suguaro Road imprint. Unlike its predecessor, "Mountain Soul II" contained classic country, mountain, and bluegrass songs, as well as original material instead of strictly bluegrass tunes. There, music served as a source of comfort, a shield against the impossible demands of that world, and she paints the pitch-perfect scene with her pure twangy alto. It tops for 'U.S. Billboard Top Bluegrass Albums' chart.
Loveless tackles the Harlan Howard' 1962 classic "Busted" on her "Mountain Soul II" album and makes it her own using traditional bluegrass instrumentation. After growing up in Kentucky, those mournful sounds and her voice now seem made for each other. Her video finds a confused waitress who appears to stumble back in time to a strange moving picture parlor. Filled with men who ravenously crank away at their personal viewing machines including Buddy Apple, loyal sideman to Doyle & Debbie. She gives one a try and sees Loveless in the viewfinder. Unfortunately, the waitress remains confused, but since she's got a job, at least she's not "busted."

She rose to stardom thanks to her mix-blend of honky tonk and emotive country ballad styles. At 53, Loveless is hardly a doddering old maid, but it's been more than a decade since she was deemed too mature for country radio. With her chart-topping days done, she wedded herself to the cause of traditional roots music. On the long-awaited sequel, Loveless starts with a stirring version of Harlan Howard's "Busted." With much of Music Row relying on slick packaging and trite themes, Loveless is a standard bearer for her craft, a living testament to how the sweetest triumphs can rise from the deepest sorrows. What's lifted Loveless above her peers is the rare ability to channel heartache into moments of transcendence and hard-won truth. Alkaline Trio Returns With "This Addiction"

The Chicago-based punk rock band Alkaline Trio is back, and just as good as ever. They have released their new music video online for the lead single and title track taken from their forthcoming long awaited seventh studio album "This Addiction," the inaugural release via Epitaph, which is due for release in February 23. "The song takes heroin addiction as a metaphor for love," said lead vocalist Matt Skiba.
Set in the mountainous fields of Ventura County, California, the visually stunning video for the metaphorical rock anthem "This Addiction" paints a rare glimpse of Alkaline Trio as they perform on an open battlefield where two sides of the heart collide in a vibrant burst of color. The video also shows a very emo looking Matt Skiba and shows kids playing out a metaphorical skit of what the song has to say is about as the kids show the duality within a person.
It's been a long, strange trip for Matt Skiba, a punk-rock kid from Chicago. After a brief stint with Epic Records for the release of 2008's "Agony & Irony," Rock artist trio are still capitalizing on that whole cliched punk kids vs. square kids thing that made much of the 1990s so totally clique-oriented and, well, segregated for youth growing up in that period. Bands strive their entire careers to find a unique sound, one which defines them and only them.
Now, pop-punk stalwarts are anxious to get Alkaline Trio back on the road after all. Skiba and his bandmates have teamed up with iconic California punk label Epitaph Records to form their own imprint, Heart & Skull, with their new album, "The Addiction." Written and recorded in their native Chicago, "The Addiction" is a throwback to the bands earlier material, influenced by fellow Chicagoans Screeching Weasel and Pegboy. Described as a return to the band's punk rock roots, The album draws lyrical inspiration from the band members' personal lives, addressing themes such as love, addiction, death, divorce, grief, suicide, politics, and war. From what we hear in the progression of the single, looks to be like the Chicago trio's aim of returning to classic form.

Agnes's Dance Beats "I Need You Now" Video

Swedish pop princess Agnes Carlsson is back and made a nice video for her second single "I Need You Now" in the UK, the follow-up to her last summer top three and breakthrough international hit "Release Me," dominating the airwaves and dancefloors for months. It's another pop/dance offering taken from her third album, "Dance Love Pop."
The new single "I Need You Now" was written by Anders Hansson and Sharon Vaughn. It was released as the album's fourth single in Sweden, and as Agnes' second single in the UK in a remixed form. The song has been re-recorded and completely reproduced over the last summer and premiered on November 16, 2009. Sticking to the classier end of the Europop spectrum, 'I Need You Now' marries soothing strings and unimposing dance beats before building into a heartfelt chorus that neatly showcases Agnes's powerful set of pipes. Agnes commented to The Sun on the song: "It's simple and direct, you can relate to it and I love the lyrics. The first time I heard it, I thought this is me. This is my life."
Agnes has been in the music game since 17 and is now 21. She won the Swedish Pop Idol competition in 2005 and the MTV Europe Awards "Best Swedish Act," she finally conquers Europe. The CEO of Interscope Records, Ron Fair says "She has it all. She is an amazing singer, looks good, is fearless and humble." He also described the former Idol winner as "a mix of Alanis Morissette, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera". Agnes is now ready to capitalize on the success of "Release Me" with her second single "I Need You Now."
The music video was shot in the Mojave desert at the El Mirage dry lake bed outside Los Angeles on October 4, 2009. It was directed by Paul Boyd. It contains Agnes driving the futuristic Aptera electric vehicle arrives in the middle of nowhere. Agnes steps out wearing a big black boots, a silver suit and carrying some high-tech binocular-style device, and then her concentration is broken by a Native American Indian who arrives on horseback probably looking for Agnes. In the end, the Indian finally sees her and allows her to ride atop his horse like the perfect gentleman he is and they ride on off into the sunset.

The Swedish pop/soul new-comer Erik Hassle has come up with the fourth video has made for his stunning debut single "Hurtful," the originally released in May 2008 in Sweden and in December 2008 in UK, and this is a new 2010 version of the same song remixed by Starsmith for the UK release on February 7 and out now in the US! "The producers sought me out for a collaborative project, not just as a singer to front their songs," he insists. "They're my musical mentors. I had never tried to write until I met them, but they encouraged me to contribute. We would sit and discuss my life and the sounds I liked, and the songs evolved naturally from there. Most are about me being a teenager, falling in love and having my heart broken. I would sing and they would play until the atmosphere felt right."

Nina Sky Premiered Video For "Beautiful People"

The R&B twin sisters duo Nina Sky gives their fans something to enjoy while they wait for their next album, recently dropped their low budget music video for their new dance-pop and very upbeat single "Beautiful People" Friday, January 29, on their blog, Nina Sky High. This official lead single is supposed be the Stereotypes production, from their upcoming sophomore album, "Starting Today," which was formerly titled "The Musical". The album is set to be released sometime later this year with the likes of Rick Ross, Ryan Leslie and Daytona serving as featured guests on Polo Grounds Music/J Records.
The new video documents montage of Natalie Albino and Nicole Albino when they are rehearsing, doing live performances and spending time with some of their favorite people: family, friends, and fans. Identical twins Natalie and Nicole Albino came up with the name 'Nina Sky' by combining the first two letters of their first names for "Nina" and tacked "Sky" on the end to represent their shared aspirations. The teen pop duo grew up in the borough of Queens in New York City. Singing was always important to them, eventually so important they announced their desires to become professional singers to their parents. They are the one of those groups who can drop one album and still be remembered. It has been six years since we've heard an album from Natalie and Nicole, but it doesn't mean it isn't coming. It takes time to figure out what your sound is and these girls not only have it, they own it. They've released songs, in the last two years, that you may remember like "On Some Bullshit" and "Curtain Call." This record blazed a way to their new dance sound and garnered local radio buzz. Whether they take a light R&B approach or jump head first into dance music, their ultimate goal is to still make you move your body. The twins came a long way and it will be dope to see what they come up with once their album comes out!

AFI Are Poisonous In "Beautiful Thieves" Video

American alternative rock band AFI (A Fire Inside) have unveiled their official hotly anticipated video for "Beautiful Thieves" off their latest eighth full-length acclaimed "Crash Love" album, across all MTV channels as well as KROQ on Thursday morning. The song "Beautiful Thieves" is the follow-up single to "Medicate," released all the way back in last August and did pretty well for itself.
Alternative rockers AFI really spike the punch bowl in their new video, which was filmed in mid December 2009 and directed by Travis Kopach (Hinder's "Without You," Taking Back Sunday's "Sink Into Me"), and it shows a more classy side of the band. Normally covered in punk black from head to toe and lots of eye makeup, here the band are cleaned up in suits and faces. The video follows them through a high-class party full of cocktails, hookups, and blackouts. AFI frontman Davey Havok and his bandmates suit it up in formal tuxedos and follows them making their way to a huge mansion with beautiful ladies awaiting inside.
The band has been invited to play a bourgie black-tie cocktail party that inches its way toward the sexier and scarier. Coke makes a cameo, hot girls designed after evil robot Dita Von Teese crawl out of their white dresses and into pools. Like any good goth purveyors, death is designed to look very pretty. Havok's suggestion that the video "shows people being forced to be responsible for their actions, we implement that retribution, if you will." Drums Adam Carson previously commented to AFI News Headquarters about the concept of the video, "It's a very cinematic song so I expect we have our work cut out to make the video look as grand as the song is."
Recently, the rockers also launched a Twitter background contest which requires fans to create something creative from "Crash Love" artwork and other images provided on the official contest page. A promotional effort for the album has been kicked off with a number of live concerts in North America, Asia and Europe.
